Friends talked this place up and unfortunately I was seriously disappointed. The Saturday fried chicken special was raved about however for $ 15 I expected more than 4 beer battered chicken fingers and fries. They tasted great but I would rather have my $ 15 back. Kids meals were both messed up. Pasta had no butter on it. Cheeseburger was very well done instead of medium and wifes eggplant parm was terrible. Drinks had no ice, and soda was flat. Now all that being said, our waitress was phenomenal and did everything she could to make it right but you still can’t shine shit. I will probably not go back.

1 star for the rude bartender. I believe her name was Sue. Me and my friend sat at the bar and she proceeded to ask us to move seats instead of greeting us kindly. And this wasn’t the first time going to the bar and having her horrible service. The $ 5 burgers were over cooked and came with 1 single slice of bacon.

Meadowbrook has really good food. It is better than your average restaurant. I do like their spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer. Instead of tortilla chips they give you these really good soft baked pita chips. I have had their steak tips and they are juicy and tender. I have gone on Valentine’s Day the past three years and they always have a special menu for the occasion which is nice. I always have had a good time when I go here. The service is fast and the wait staff is nice. If you’re looking for a good meal that is local to you, try Meadowbrook.

This was our second visit here. First time 4 stars because the wait staff was magnificent. However this time we experienced really poor service and would give 2 stars. Young waitress did not serve our appetizers; when she brought out our food and we pointed it out she blamed the kitchen. Furthermore I ordered crab cake no lettuce with side of honey mustard. I got no honey mustard but did get lettuce. Companions order of chicken was missing fries and waitress didn’t even notice until we pointed it out(isn’t that a fairly obvious thing just chicken on a plate with no side?!). Again she blamed all of this on the kitchen. I don’t care who’s fault, just fix it. Having said all of this, the food is pretty good. The burgers were actually cooked to the temperature they were ordered with nice pink centers. French fries good. The soup and salad appetizers today were… oh yea I have no idea since we never got them. Last visit got the baked scrod and was terrific.

$ 5 Monday Night Burger Nights!!! Large selection. Delicious food. Great service. There really wasn’t much of a wait even when it was full. Waitress was really on top of things. No one ever had an empty glass and the burgers are delicious!

Service was great. Had the fish tacos and they were excellent. Wife got the Scrod Divan and said it was delicious. Will be going back.

Four strong stars because the french onion soup and the smothered bbq steak tips are phenomenally delicious-as are the juicy burgers, but the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. A few minimal improvements could make this place so much more inviting. A little constructive criticism-play up the rustic vibe of the building and give the bar and dining room some personality. A better greeting when you enter. Some candles on the tables and accent lighting over the bar so you can actually see the menus would go a long way. And right now the dining room looks like it’s stuck in the early 90’s. Also-the poor solo guitarist you sometimes have really needs a better song catalog. People do not want to feel depressed and melancholy while out to a nice meal. But the fact that you even have entertainment is a big plus. Overall this place has SO much potential and we’ll continue to go there, especially because it’s only real local competition is Cameron’s and Monponsett-which are both such poor quality-poor service places now. Meadowbrook has always consistent quality food, huge menu, great specials… now they just need to make the building feel more memorable and welcoming.

Monday is $ 5 burger night. They have a large selection of gourmet burgers with a variety of toppings. The fries are an add on but worth it. Several flavored of fries too. Yes I’d go back and recommend it to everyone. Better than those expensive burgers by far.

Went to The Meadowbrook Restaurant on 7÷29÷15 for the $ 5 pasta on Wednesday nights. Turns out, the $ 5 pasta night is «no longer available.» The waitress did not set the table for three people, she set the table for two. Next, my family and I ordered our drinks. When I took a sip of my Shirley Temple, the sprite was flat. Then, our waitress brought our small plates over along with bread and butter. Two out of the three plates were dirty. The menu was completely different from the numerous times of dinning here. Highly unsatisfied.

We finally decided to try Meadow Brook after having some of my friends say how good it was. We went Saturday night around 7ish because we heard there was live entertainment. When we sat down I looked over to one of the musicians and recognized him from the Boston Symphony! I knew it would be amazing(and it was) now the food… The waitress was so friendly and was encouraging us to take our time ordering to enjoy the music!(that’s a first) and was helpful with the food choices… Well the food was totally delicious as well! We’re so impressed and will be back ! Oh and the name of the musicians I believe were called«The Guitar Guys»

Not the friendliest place I’ve been. Would never come back. Seems like we more an interruption than a customer.

My wife and I go here all the time. We sit at the bar, Karen is a great bartender. The food is very good, everything from soup to desert. The fish tacos are the best I’ve ever had and I order them all over the USA. It’s an older crowd, like me, but, younger folks come in all the time for dinner. I few micro brew options on tap would be nice.

Nicole and I were sitting at her house bored and hungry, so we took a trip to this place called the Meadow Brook Restaurant. She had heard some good things about it from her mother, and was thinking about employment there, so we went to check it out. We are so glad that we did, because this has been one of my favorite places to eat so far in my travels as the Hungry Cupcake. Read on my friends… We arrived at the restaurant, and from the outside, it looked like it was closed. We opened the door, walked down a small winding hallway, and were greeted by two hostesses. One sat us promptly, and we started looking over the menu. We chose to start with onion rings, which I am not usually a fan of, but thought I’d eat the crunchy batter off of them while we waited for our food. To our surprise, they were huge, and there were lots of them! We had so many of these onion rings, we did not get to finish them before our food came. We took about half the basket home for consumption later in the evening, which is always a good thing! While we waited on our food, we noticed that there were not that many people in the restaurant, and that it was huge in size, that they might do functions, or we wondered if their dinnertime was a big rush. Our food finally showed up, just as good looking as the appetizer. Nicole ordered a crab cake sandwich, seen below, and I ordered a turkey salad wrap, sans tomatoes. The wrap had great flavor, with a cranberry mayo, lettuce, cheese, and of course the turkey. Both sandwiches came with steak fries and coleslaw, and both of us only ate about half of our meals. Overall, the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly(a more older woman staff), and the food was great. The prices were cheap, and I didn’t end up using the bathroom, but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. Meadow Brook is located at 1486 Main Street in Hanson, MA. You can view their website here before you go if you’d like to see their menu. If music be the food of love, play on. William Shakespeare

We(a trio) were seated and left for at least 10 minutes before our waitress came to our table to get our drink order. We ended up waiting nearly an hour to receive parts of our food, which was delivered after the table behind us received their food despite ordering the steak tips and arriving after we ordered our food. Each of us had missing sections/incorrect orders. Ordered steak tips medium well. Came out rare, medium rare. Twice. Had to send back and received them charred beyond recognition on the outside of the tips. One of our party never received the butter for her pasta, and her veal took an extra nearly 10 minutes to come out and they nearly forgot our other patrons pasta entirely. Service was terrible. Food was terrible. At least the live band was good.

We have been here many times for functions and they are always well organized and have great food. We like the Trivia night and burger night– bartender Karen is great!

I have to say this place is just ok… but I am a foodie. The pizza is good and the portions are decent. The décor is a little dated and definitely fosters an older crowd… I go to the bar side. Not bad for a local place.

Went here with the family for my birthday. Service was pretty slow, though I don’t blame them because it was pretty busy. The appetizers and drinks were pretty good, though still slow. It took at least 45 minutes to get our actual meals, and we thought we would be hungry enough to eat it all — boy were we wrong! The portions are HUMUNGOUS! It’s almost unbelievable. I got a Cobb salad and couldn’t finish half of it. The clam strip plate was also half bread crumbs with no clams in them, so that was a bit disappointing as well. Overall it was okay, just be sure you’re REALLY hungry.

My husband and I have driven past often and we said each time that we wanted to try it. Finally made it there tonight and I am only sorry I hadn’t stopped sooner! My first impression was the wait staff. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Then came the bread. If a place doesnt have good bread I cross them off my list. The rolls were warm and soft on the inside. My only negative would be to soften the butter. The fried mozzarella was breaded but not overdone. The marinara sauce was phenomenal. I ordered fried chicken and am in love with the breading. The mashed was homemade and the gravy was a perfect compliment. Overall, I was more than pleased and will be back!

Went here last night for the 4th time. I very much enjoy this place. The staff is so incredibly friendly and attentive. I haven’t had a bad experience! I find that you will have better luck with their dinner meals such as steak tips(SO good), pasta, seafood, etc. Their burgers and sandwiches are okay but not their strong point. Lots of choices for appetizers. The spinach and artichoke dip comes out in a huge plate and is enough for 4 people to share! It was very good. Generous portions. The only complaint I have is that they don’t have beer on tap! I found that a little odd. They only have bottled beer. They have wine and a full liquor selection however. I would recommend this place to others. The prices are good and the food is wonderful if you order the right thing. I suggest their surf and turf :)

look like barflys flew from the depths of Budlight Haven… didn’t have beer On draft, which is fine for some, but then my BF looked over the limited beer list and asked for a Harpoon to which the bartender said were out of that, been out for about a month. The bartender needed aricept for the«complex order» of 2 apps and a cup of soup, she forgot the soup! If she wasn’t so caught up with talking about her personal life to anyone who would listen. The stuffed seafood mushrooms if that’s what you call sliced up portobello mushrooms covered with a buttery ritz cracker crust, I couldn’t find the seafood and the soup which she had to be reminded of was so salty I could feel my ankles swelling and didn’t bother to finish, could go on don’t waste ur time, cheap prices but then again cheap clientele to bad could be a nice place if it was once again sold and under another management.
