This was our first time at Medieval Times. The kids were thrilled. We got the Royalty package and they were in the first row! The show was great, it lasted a full 2 hours. Our waitress was attentive and explained the whole process since this was our first visit. While the tickets are a little pricey for a family please look online for promo codes; they make it affordable and it is worth it. We will be back.

A good time, but WARNING! Like the other reviews, the show is very entertaining, with the people role playing in character very well. The food is good with plenty to eat and drink and the staff are very friendly. I recommend upgrading to the VIP package for up front seating, though the upper seats are decent. They had a $ 5 self tour of the dungeon, that was worth it, in my opinion. For us, it was a-been there done that show. Fun but probably won’t go back. The WARNING part… 1st — this place is at an Outlet Mall and it’s HUGE! With that being said, you have to go INTO the mall to enter the show. Not a big deal, but I didn’t expect that, so if you don’t park close to the show, it’s a WALK! 2nd — like I said, HUGE mall with LOTS of people, ALL looking for a parking space! The other issue, there is a CASINO right next to the mall and parking was a BITCH! We(and dozens of other people) drove around easily 15+min and we’re only lucky enough to stumble upon a spot as somebody was pulling out. 3rd — there are ALLOT of little kids there, WAAAAAY more than I expected! And when I mean little kids, we’re talking 3 – 5 year olds. I don’t have a particular problem with kids, but all the kids around us lost interest by half way thru the show! Unless your little prince or princess is TOTALLY into the Knights thing, you’re probably wasting your money! They sell light-up swords and other souvenir type junk, little kid next to me(as are all the kids) wailing that around to the point she smacked me dead in the eye! Parents did take control, ended up taking her out from the show after a bit from NOT settling down… so if you’re taking the little one(s)… 4th — their Web Site makes it sound like YOU pick your knight to cheer on and if you upgrade to VIP status for front or second row center seating, you get to pick your seat… in fact THEY pick the knight you cheer for AND seat you in the section THEY pick out.

We love this place! Even though it’s crowded, it is organized and everything runs very smoothly. We haven’t had a bad seat yet, and the servers are great!

I bought two tickets for my husband and I for half off due to a memorial weekend promotion medieval times was having on their site. I had never been to one and it was truly an amazing experience ! We ended up upgrading to royalty which was 12 $ each and it was totally worth it ! We got to sit in the second row and we got cool souvenirs. They also had a good drink selection ! The staff was very friendly and they always stayed in character ! The feast was delicious and very filling ! The horses were beautiful ! Overall the show was great !

This place is discriminatory against autistic children I used to go there all the time because it was the one place that helped stem my sons autism he loved that place we would go every week — last time I went I was told I was banned from the place when asked why was not given a explanation just told I couldn’t come back — apparently if you go there too many times its suspicious or something — crushed my son .he to this day is devastated Horrible people horrible place be damn if you patron them too much apparently you will get kicked out!

I have been wanting to go to one of these since I first watched Cable Guy decades ago! Finally, I was able to go to one and upped the package to Royalty. A bit on the high side, but figure if I do it once, might as well go all the way. The show was great, I felt bad for one of the knights as he lost his fight due to being kicked in the junk… all that armor and no cup… tsk tsk. You can tell the experienced knights from the ones still learning. Seems they set the matches up so the beginners go first and get taken out by the more experienced. Our knight was the Black/White knight and he was great. Great actor and good follow through. He gave my wife a flower which made her happy and made me want to grab my sword… lucky for him all I had was a chicken bone. Another time, my friend! The food was pretty tasty even though I didn’t get my biscuit with everyone else(one short)…that whench! But it did come out a few minutes later, so all is good. All in all, it’s a good show, the food is good and a great way to spend an evening.

Everything you’d expect from medieval times — delicious food with generous portions, great show with enthusiastic performers, and servers who seem to be having a good time too. We got a great deal on Groupon which made the experience even sweeter. $ 8 for a full pint of Blue Moon & orange slice in a souvenir cup felt reasonably priced. Conveniently attached to a huge mall. Only complaint was parking which was hard to find. There’s a free parking garage we didn’t investigate because it looked really far from the castle.

This place gets crowded, but besides that they are very organized they’ll give you your table number and your crown and then they will let you in. The show is quite good and family friendly even parents enjoy it. The food is good too(soup, chicken, bread, corn, potatos, and dessert), they have a vegetarian menu also, just in case. You will experience a medieval time where you will have to eat with your bare hands which is fun, they will also give you wet napkins to clean yourself. If you think this place stinks because of horses, well au contraire is very clean and it does NOT smell like horse manure. Yes I am allergic to horses and I had to take some allegra but It was worthy. Conclusions: Good Food and a Show with horses it makes the price worth it.

We spent New Year’s Eve at the Medieval show and let me preface this with he fact that I absolutely love themed dinners and shows so the fact that we didn’t enjoy our time had nothing to do with the entertainment and everything to do with the execution of the event. We got there before doors opened and there was no way to get food or drinks prior to the show… that was a mistake in marketing and in their program. By the time the show finally started we were ridiculously hungry and then had to upgrade our show tickets so that we could actually see the show. We had a good server, Trayvone who helped us out! The food is served family style in some ways. All that being said, I am not sure I would go back especially for the NYE event because the dancing didn’t start until after midnight and I thought it would be more festive.

Really, I have nothing bad to say about the experience here, with my wife and 3 boys, this evening. The entertainment was totally engaging, the food promptly served, perfect temp, large portion size and very tasty. I mean, if my youngest will eat the«baby dragon» you are doing things right. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t enjoy eating with their hands?! Is it a place we’d attend often… no. Is it worth the price of admission on a special occasion, absolutely! The huge smiles and full stomachs are worth every penny.

Came here with a friend to enjoy an evening of fun and debauchery. The venue is located at Arundel Mills near the Burlington store. I scored the tickets from Groupon($ 40 for two). I had to call a number and reserve a date. The shows only occur on Fri-Sun. They sent me an email with a link to print out the tickets, which l took to the customer service window and was given two laminated black and white cards with a number on them. The coloring was for the section we would be sitting in to root for our similarly dressed knight in the performance and as we arrived very early for our 5pm show(it is suggested that you arrive at least 75 min. before), we walked the mall and came back around 4:30, just in time for the beginning of the 4:45 seating time. The venue is designed like a medival castle with associates dressed in period costumes and addressing you as «my lady» or «sir», which l was tickled by. We gave the associate at the begining of the line our laminated cards and we were given corresponding colored paper«crowns» to wear in support of our section and knight. The line going in directs you straight to the picture taking area, but as we didn’t want to take any, we were directed out of the line to peruse the gift shop or go to the bar to purchase alcoholic beverages. We were called into the venue by group color. As you walk in you are assisted by associates to your designated area. The venue was oval shaped with a sand covered arena in the middle and seating around on three levels. You could upgrade your seating for additional $ and included other perks such as a photos, shout outs for your birthday and the like. Seating was at long tables with paper placemats and a mug, plate and bowl for soup. No utensils as this period they did not have them yet, but you could request them. Our server was named«Winch Amy» and she provided our drinks and food. The food came in three courses(1st-tomatoe soup, 2nd-min corn on the cob, seasoned potatoe half and half of a roasted chicken and 3rd– apple turnover). There were options available for vegetarians or those that had food allergies. Of course associates came around to take photos, offer up blinking roses, glow in the dark swords, color coded banners to support your knight and the like for an additional cost. The show was fantastic equipped with flashing and strobe lights, fog, period music, a grest storyline that the actors performed well. The stunts on the horses and fight scenes with period weaponry were great! The scenes were so believable, especially when you saw the sparks coming from the weapons hitting against each other. I respect the skill and stamina of those performers. The horses were beautiful and well trained, but l often thought and hoped they were being cared for appropriately when they were not performing. It was an enjoyable evening, especially given the fact that the black and white knight won(but l lost my voice yelling!) The associates were all very pleasant. Parking was a hassle as it was a Sunday during the holiday season, so l paid $ 8 for the valet service at the movie theater entrance(they close at 9) and walked to the other end of the mall to the venue(l need the exercise anyway!).

Celebrated several birthdays as King Royalty(black and white team) and absolutely loved the experience. Loved everything about the experience, as soon as you walk in the fun begins and only stops when you stop telling friends about the experience days after. The food was great, including the vegetarian option. Great fun for kids and kids at heart. We will definitely return! Extra note: Horses are beautiful and looks like they are cared for well.

Absolutely loved the whole experience. I would have liked to have seen a little more enthusiasm from the staff at the door, but that’s the only complaint I could have. From the start of the MC’s introduction I was hooked. The actors truly took their roles seriously and stayed in character throughout the show. The food is served at the beginning while they display very well trained horses and a falcon. The meal, for us, was a half chicken that was nothing short of perfect. A bowl of decent soup and garlic bread. Half a piece of corn on the cob, a massive potato wedge and an apple turnover that was delicious. While nothing special, the meal was good enough and large enough to be 4* by itself. The drink selection was a bit lacking with only Pepsi or unsweetened tea and coffee with dessert was offered; the alcohol menu was large and varied. By the time we finished eating the tournament games ended and the jousting began. Before going you have to remember that the show is geared for kids so while the skill is impressive there is a bit of overacting. Think professional wrestling and you won’t be disappointed. There is a small story that takes place. While it plays out in an expected manner, the actors do a wonderful job of acting in period and maintaining that mystique. What truly made this a special experience was our server. Besides doing more than the others to get our side into the«game» he went above and beyond for our family. My 4 year old became overwhelmed by the cheering to the point where I had to take him out into the mall to get away for a moment. Our server tracked me down outside with a pair of ear plugs for him. We were able to go back and my son loved the rest of the show. Overall the experience, the food and humanity made our trip one we won’t forget.

Sign up for the birthday club to get your meal free with the purchase of an adult ticket. This time I tried the vegetarian meal option and it was very good. If you have been to Medieval Times before, give the vegetarian meal a try for something different although you do get to use a modern spoon which may take away from the«authenticity.» The adult frozen beverages were very tasty but they will try to upsell you on the souvenir glasses. Once you are out of the castle, the glasses seem less regal so seriously think about if you really want the souvenir glass

I’ve been there twice. The most recent time I took my son for his graduation dinner. The food is great they have the option for vegan dinner as well(which was what my best friend got) she said it was delicious! They give you excellent portions and the customer service is great! The show was exciting and my son is begging to go back. They run deals on groupon and send coupons in the local Sunday paper from time to time and even without the discount is worth the price. We are fter the show the princess and her knights signed my sons flag and congratulated him personally. We are going back really soon!!!

This place is definitely entertaining and a nice place to go on a date, a group dinner or even just with the family. Upon entering you see a small museum area were you can look at weapons and historic prices from that time period. When you enter the actual arena the sheer size of the theater is amazing! The food is good but nothing special! The only thing I did not like is they do not provide silverware! I understand it is supposed to be more to the time era, however with as many things as you touch that I am sure are not disinfected properly all the time, you should not be expected to consume your food with your hands. Or maybe they should offer moist towelettes to clean your hands because I did not receive any. The scent of the arena could possibly turn some stomaches. I personally don’t have a problem eating anywhere lol but I did here a few people speak about the odor! It just mainly smells like a horse. The service was good however it is much different then your standard night out! You really do not have much of an interaction with your server as you would at a typical restaurant! Which is fine with me because I don’t like to talk all that much to my servers anyway! I did have fun with my friends and family here. I probably would go back but not anytime soon! It’s one of those every now and then places to me. Once you go there really isn’t a reason to go back lol. The show itself was entertaining they are professional actors who stay in character and keep the audience entertained !

Five Stars for atmosphere, three stars for food. We had a great time watching the show. Dinner was ok. Service was great. Drinks are expensive. I have always wanted to go here so my Hubby took me for Valentines Day… yay for thinking outside the box.

Came here on a Saturday 7pm showing with a group of 9 friends. Love that there’s an entrance directly in the Arundel Mills mall — easy to get in/out after a day of shopping without having to repark. Ambience/décor: — The outside of the castle looks awesome! — The inside looks fairly medieval-like; I liked that the cups/plates were metal — No utensils… in order to «be more realistic to that time period». Which I thought was kind of dumb because there were plenty of things there that didn’t fit the time period. They probably just didn’t want to wash more dishes/buy plastic utensils. — Paper hats were kind of cheesy Service: — Our main waiter was super enthusiastic and responsive, though the asking for tips speech(because tips aren’t included in the ticket price) was unnecessary — You have to order alcoholic drinks from a different ‘drinks’ waiter, which didn’t come to our area until nearly an hour after the show started… kind of a buzzkill Show: — Each seating section is assigned a «knight» to cheer for — they really get you hyped up about this which was fun — Jousting/racing games were the most entertaining parts — Fighting was very obviously choreographed/scripted…e.g. people would pretend to ‘get hit’ even before the sword touched them — Some bits in the middle were kind of slow… there would be stretches of 10+ minutes where all that was happening was some guy leading a horse around — They read out birthday announcements for a straight 10 minutes Food: — Tomato bisque and garlic bread appetizer: not bad, food came out nice and hot, soup was a bit salty though — ½ chicken: HUGE portion size. This was pretty good, well seasoned — Pork ribs: only give you 2 small ribs, and were super dry. Did not like. — Baked potato: plain, nothing on it nor options to add anything — Apple turnover for dessert: I actually really liked it — warm and flaky. I definitely wanted something sweet to end the meal and this fulfilled the craving Overall, was a fun experience to have for the novelty of it, but definitely would not do it more than once!

The kids(age 11) had an awesome time! I am really happy to have paid half-price for our tickets(plus some can goods) thanks to the food drive special at this location. Otherwise, totally overpriced especially since they recommend you get there 1hr. 15 mins. early because it FCFS(getting there early did not make a big difference since the front rows were an up-charge too) but really it is so you are trapped to buy overpriced merchandise, snacks and drinks. Even to see the dungeon was an up-charge. Plus LOTS of people go there for a birthday, anniversary, and/or knighting ceremony which they are constantly announcing for another fee. The dinner was well orchestrated, they have it down to a science. I was really surprised how good the food tasted considering all the lukewarm reviews. Perhaps my expectations were super low or going to an earlier show made our food more fresh? The servers really work hard serving a crowd of people. Wench Michela was really great and I felt horrible I did not have more money leftover to leave a good tip — please make sure you plan better than me. Now the show was entertaining but definitely hokey. If you are young or really into the renaissance era; you will enjoy it. If you can, do not park in the garage by the casino. There was a long wait to use the elevator to get back to the car and then due to an accident in the garage, we had an additional 1.5 hour wait to get out.

Cheese city. Oh man. I hadn’t been to a Medieval Times since I was a kid, so the 5th or 6th time we saw a livingsocial deal out for them my gf finally convinced me this would be a fun date spot. It was fun, I guess, but it was cheesy as all get out. The food was meh, although I do like that they give you salt and pepper, the novelty of eating with your hands wears off after you grease through your one and only napkin pretty quickly. Thankfully they give you a wet wipe for your hands after dinner. I think there was something wrong with the sound system when we were there, the voices were loud and booming, but hard to decipher what they were saying. However, the story line was very ho-hum, so it really didn’t matter. For me, the best part of the show were seeing all the beautiful horses and the falcon bit. Also, cheering for your very own knight(even though he didn’t win) is still pretty fun. I bet the under 10 age group has an entirely different experience though. There are lots of things to take pictures with and play with in the castle pre-show, and I bet through young eyes the sword fighting and jousting is just the coolest thing in the world. Overall, it’s definitely an experience. But not something I am clamoring to do again any time soon.
