The food isn’t very good and the restaurant seems to have a nice rustic design but is dirty and cheap interior design. The staff needs training.

Stopped by today during the Car Show, sign days«Wait To Be Seated», no staff even looked up or acknowledged us when we walked in. Looked to be a short wait, however booths were open but had not been cleaned. Waited several more minutes to get wait staff attention, then walked out. Can you say rude?

The food is good, and the ambiance is nice, but my waiter refused to accept my Illinois ID for a glass of wine. I was 28 at the time, wearing a handsome suit and a handsome beard. It’s not like I swiped the ID from an older brother and tried to pull a fast one on the restaurant. Maybe he’s just jealous he doesn’t live on my side of the river.

Wood-fired oven pizzas are amazing. Authentic Italian style entrées. Great service! Nice wine list.

Great atmosphere and menu with lots of options. They serve wine by the glass and there house red is great. I ordered the chicken parmigiana since they pound the chicken like my mother would, but not as flat.

Nice, warm décor. Ordered the baked penne. Cheese was smooth & creamy, sausage on the spivey side. Nice wine list. Not a tablecloth place but works well for a nice dinner out. Fast friendly service. First time, will come back again next time in Hannibal.

We were in Hannibal for a quick weekend getaway. Cute town, but this restaurant made the drive from Chicago worth the trip. Really nice atmosphere with great wait staff. The house Cabernet is excellent, though I didn’t ask the brand. The pizza was superb. Really fresh ingredients with the most incredible crust. Make the trip and you will not be disappointed!

Nice, warm atmosphere on a quaint old building. Surprisingly long wine list with a nice, broad selection. Salad was fresh and tasty with the house-made dressing. The pizza crust was perfectly thin without becoming a cracker. The staff aims for satisfaction while remaining casual. I am impressed.

The Brick Oven makes a delicious thin crust«cracker» pizza! We ordered pizza with Italian Sausage, mushrooms, 3 cheese blend, fresh spinach & onion. The onion was caramelized which was a delicious surprise, added depth to the flavor. The Italian sausage was high quality with excellent flavor, seemed fresh. Our waitress was friendly & decent, albeit a bit slow & didn’t know the menu. Perhaps she was new? We ordered lava cake for dessert. Nice presentation. Disappointing dessert. Not horrible, just not very good. It seemed to be microwaved. We would return again for the pizza! PS Make sure you eat in the 2nd dining room! The entry room/bar area REEKS of mold. I would not eat in that room, the next room did not have that odor.

We ordered the large pepperoni pizza which was very flavorful and plenty large enough for two with a toddler. The sauce was wonderful and it was the large style pepperoni. The crust was thin but not hard. All in all a good meal for options in Hannibal.

Came in right before close staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Was recommended to have the meat pizza, it was amazing! Will certainly come back again!

On a work trip to Hannibal and this place had fantastic pasta. Was an awesome change of pace from our usual fast food. The sit down environment was awesome even if the room was HOT! I had the lobster ravioli and it was definitely better than a chain place

The staff is attentive and friendly. The brick pizza was good, but the bruschetta was the sorriest excuse for an appetizer I’ve ever had. It really is upsetting that a business creates something that worthless and actually sells it for about $ 10 to customers. Businesses that do things like that just seem like they are trying to milk you for as much as they can while spending as little as they can — and not try at all to make this a worthy business. Obviously, I will not be returning.

The Brick Oven is the place to get tasty pasta dishes in the Hannibal/Quincy area. The pizza on the other hand is not what most people are looking for when they want pizza. Some, I know, rave on it, but it’s really not your usual pizza. It’s what we like to call Cracker Pizza. It is a bit small and underwhelming for the price in my opinion. Those who like this style of flat, dry, brick fired pizza will probably like it. It really is a different food, though, from what most people generically refer to as «pizza». Their lasagna, ravioli and other pasta dishes are far and away very nicely done. This place in NOT cheap. Expect to pay about $ 14-$ 19 for a pasta dish. The salads are fresh, but again, underwhelming. They used Kraft parmesan canned cheese for their Ceasar salads… really gauche. The dressings are nothing to write home to mom about either, but they’re not bad. Since the salad’s are extra, you would expect it to be much better for the price. The service is hit and miss. We have eaten here maybe twelve times since it opened. We usually go when there is not a lot of other diners in the restaurant. While you would think this would make service better, unfortunately it doesn’t. They get busy in the back or other room doing«down-time» activities and prep. I’ve often had to get up and go in search of a waiter/waitress to fill water glasses or ice tea or even grab the abandoned pitcher off the shelf and fill our glasses myself. I don’t really mind doing this self-serve routine, but it really irks my husband when I do it and he feels they should be doing their job better so we can sit and relax. While on other visits, we had attentive, polite, efficient servers, unfortunately it’s a bit of a crap shoot as to whether you will get good service or not. It’s definitely worth a visit, but go in for the pizza only if you understand what type of pizza The Brick Oven makes. ASK questions! You’ll be much more likely to end up with a good meal that you enjoyed.

Nice environment and friendly staff and the soup and salad were«pretty good» while the brick sub was cheesy but could have used a larger meat portion. I would like to come and try the pizza as that I this places forte. I think if we were here for dinner it would be a better representation of it’s ability!

Took the family twice in the same day. They do have a brick oven and their pizza is good. For dinner I had the chicken parm and I liked the sauce. Service was good and our waiter was nice.

This place looks okay on the inside and the service is attentive. Food needs work. The side salad had fresh iceberg and romaine. But the margherita pizza was dry like a cracker, bland as all get out, and had way too much dried herb mix on it. Though, I did appreciate there was some fresh basil on it, it was low quality mozzarella and as is usual for brick oven, the pizza had no salt in it at all,(I never use a salt shaker but always find myself using one here)

So, I’ve been back here a couple of times and the experience is consistent with my initial impression. This is keeping in mind that I’ve only ever had the pizza. The other food offerings don’t appeal much to me and I always figure pizza is a safer bet. The pizza is probably about the best you’ll find on the Missouri side of the Tri-State area. Better pizza can be found in large cities but for a small town I think they are doing fine. While limited for my tastes, the wine selection is decent and seems appropriate for pairing with their food offerings. The service I’ve experienced has been fair; nothing to write home about.
