Seaman Shoe Service

This is a tough one… when I took my poor ol boots in, I was made to feel ashamed to bring them in for repair. The deal is, the boots themselves were in great shape, but the soles and heels were crap. Total crap. I asked to have them re-​heeled, and he kinda laughed at me, then asked me to put down a $ 10 deposit to make sure that I would come back and get them, I guess. Not that it was an issue, obviously I love the boots, or I wouldn’t have brought them in, right?
So, he says he is swamped and they would be ready in like 10 days. I call back on 10 days… oh, not ready, he says… ok so I wait a while longer, and I believe I finally got them back after a month or so. Really a pretty long wait for re-​heeling. But, when I did get them back, they looked FANTASTIC! He polished them up and they looked better than new. The finished product was perfect.
I would give 1 star for service/​time taken to finish and 5 stars for the actual finished product. He did a beautiful job, but don’t know if I would go back… don’t want to wait a month for the job to get done.
