This place is amazing. Today was only my second time there and the owner remembered I liked my tea unsweetened. Very welcoming, small business and they know their stuff. I’ve had the strawberry green tea and a chamomile blend that the owner recommended. Both of them were delicious!

A great lunch and some Christmas shopping done! Everyone super helpful. Tea was Delish, had the Almond Joy tea and brought some home. Super clean, efficient, comfortable establishment!

This place is Perfect for tea loves who like to keep it real! No boba or need for the overly sweet stuff. Pure and clean, fresh tea and multitude of choices to try. They have so many flavorers from black to green to white to oolong and every thing in between. I am a purest when it comes to tea. No sweetener no artificial sweetener. Pure TEA! And this is the place. Not to mention, I came in after work and wanted to change my clothes before my friend came. I came in looking a mess, my charging cord hanging and a shirt in my hand. I asked the owner of a I could use the restroom, before I ordered, and he pointed me to the restroom. He also, saw my charger and cord hanging and suggested that a certain booth had direct access to an outlet. I told him, I will leave my cord and charger here and be right back, after changing. When I came back, he had plugged my charger in and had it all ready and set for me to relax and enjoy my tea. Needless to say, I ordered 4 teas and drank them there while enjoying my friends company and bought 7 of their packages cookies to go(for my family). Best experience I have ever had at a tea place and I told the owner, I wish you were is Fresno where I live!

I’m sad to post this 3star review. I had such high hopes. Came in for lunch and ordered the special which was a «roast beef sandwich topped with melted blue cheese». I was disappointed. Bottom slice of bread was complete mush from juice of sandwich. Bread should have been toasted. Meat was barely warm and no part of my blue cheese was melted. It reminded me of the type of sandwich you would make with left over meat if you were chilling at home. Maybe my expectations are too high. I’m willing to give them another try, and I’ll even update my review because the people are so nice, the tea is so good, and I like what they are trying to accomplish. This time they missed the mark unfortunately.

Amazing selection of tea, great food, wonderful service. Tiny restaurant, don’t bring a large party. The menus changes regularly, but everything is wonderful. Love to come here with a girlfriend, not really a“guy” place. Most of the menu selections are on the lighter side.

This is an awesome tea shop. They have a wide selection and great customer service. A peaceful place, with two lovely staff members Steve and Arianne, who are working hard to preserve Hanford’s historic China Alley. Definitely come in and listen to the Chinese music, have some delicious tea, and a taste of history!!!

Three stars for the tea and the tea selection. An extra star for what they are doing to preserve the historical area. Got some great teas to go. The jook was not so great, but for the price I wasn’t too upset. In short go for the tea and history, skip the food and snacks.

Excellent selection of teas served hot or iced. A portion of each purchase also supports the preservation/restoration of China Alley. They have food as well but I did not try it so I can’t speak to that.

We wanted something light before we went to a wedding and this just hit the spot. I love the owners and the food too. This was another great experience and I highly recommend this place. Even if you’re afraid of tea I promise this place won’t disappoint.

The tea is worth every penny. My favorite is the Genmaicha(a Japanese style green with toasted rice). The food is also excellent but I need bigger portions. Owners are super nice, so please support this truly local business.

The BEST tea place I have ever been to, not only do they have a amazing selection to choose from, but they also know about each one. The staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly. The price point for the tea is very generous as well.

Very sweet shop. Huge selection of very interesting and tasty tea blends. And a portion of their proceeds support the restoration of the area. Been coming to Hanford for like twenty years and never knew this was there. A big recommend

Been coming here for probably almost a year and I just love everything about it. The owners are both the nicest people, they remember what I normally get and how sweet I like it, the food is always super delicious too! Its a small little hole in the wall place that is so worth going! If you haven’t been, please try it out! :) they can even recommend a type if you tell them what kinds Of flavors you like! Also, 20% of their profits go to help in the preservation of China Alley!!! Go now! Their website is . and you can find them on Facebook and instagram as well.

I really loved this place. A friend and I came here as our first stop in Hanford from Fresno, and I’m so glad we found this gem. It’s a really lovely tea spot to just relax or study. It’s a quiet and calm place and the owner is really kind. We ordered a pot together and we were surprised by how large the pot was for such a low price compared to other tea places we’ve gone to. We got the pagoda peach white tea and it tasted heavenly, especially with the blue agave nectar. I was so fascinated by it because the owner put what looked like a plant rolled up into ball in our pot of hot water and it started to unravel itself by blooming into a lovely flower within 3 minutes. The tea is done steeping once the ball blooms. I really liked this place and I’ll definitely go again the next time I visit Hanford.

The entirety of old town Hanford is a treasure trove of historic buildings, but you have to make sure and not miss the LT Sue Co Tea Room and Emporium! It’s a gorgeous place to go for a meal, a hot or iced tea, or to shop! Just sit down, pick a tea. Choices, choices… there’s something like 100 teas, I don’t know, to choose from! Picking from the lunch menu is easier. They offer their menu items out of passion, made with what’s fresh and available in season. It’s a short menu that is all items offered that day only. So pick something delicious and enjoy. Also, each morning they have a quiche of the day, plus a rather famous shortbread, served until they run out. But the niftiest thing — check out that teaware they bring to your table. Antiques! Eeek! Super cool, but subject to the rigors of use — and that means possible breakage! That stuff isn’t made anymore — hasn’t been made in a hundred years. I was never so careful with the utensils placed on my table in a café in my life. The Tea Room is on China Alley, an endangered historic set of buildings listed as imperiled. Hanford’s China Alley is an amazing piece of Californiana still completely standing intact, but time is not on its side. It needs expensive restoration work and to be brought up to code, much of it vacant.

Loved this place! Great place to have a cup of tea and some light fare and just unwind. Customer service is excellent! This is an undiscovered gem in my book. I will definitely be back there. The trip to Hanford was more worth it for this than for Superior Dairy.

The perfect place for a Saturday morning tea. Don’t go here because I don’t want it to get busy, as I am sure it will, as soon as everyone figures out how wonderful it is. The food was simple and flavorful and the homemade Bao is something unique and spectacular. Their selection of tea is outstanding and everyone was so helpful that I felt at home. This will be my new hang out!

My wife found this cool little lunch place located near the old China Alley of downtown Hanford. The menu is small, but they do offer several daily specials. The Pagoda Banh Mi sandwich, while certainly an «interpretation» of the original sandwich, is really good with the pulled pork. The Imperial Chicken Salad is also a perfect light lunch. Definitely check out the tea! You can open and smell the different teas in their containers. The tea menu is downright overwhelming at first, but the variety is outstanding. Definitely get a pot of whatever suits your fancy as you wait for your lunch. Another neat thing about the restaurant is that they use an iPad and the Square One reader for credit card transactions. Great use of inexpensive and cutting edge resources!
