I gave been going here since they opened over 25 years ago. Minor things have changed but the food quality has not. If you like sushi which i don’t but my wife does, this is the place to go. Everything is fresh made to order. There are things here for the squeemish and the visitor from Japan. The salad dressing is so simple but delicious. The grilled chicken is flavorful. The quarter lb egg roll is fantastic. The teriyaki chicken or veggie bowls are garden fresh… vegetables just steamed not mush… and the gyosa or steamed then fried dumplings are a must. Nice atmosphere inside. They have a drive through but be prepared to wait since everything is fresh made. You can call ahead. If you do the drive through check your food especially if you ask for extra sauces and make sure they include a plastic fork… its common for them to forget. Oh and if you go late be careful… they say they close at 830 but if they are slow they will close before 8 or whenever they choose but never shut off their menu board. You will just sit there in your car with no answer at the speaker. Ticked me off the first time that happened. Now i know what to expect. This the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars

Awful awful awful. Sushi is terrifyingly warm… I can’t imagine it’s going to stay for very long. This place was scary.

I got the dragon roll & it was ok. It was warm I felt a little too pricey for the consistency of it. Definitely the most unique looking sushi joint I’ve ever been too. It looks like a fast food place. If I could remodel their venue it would have a sushi bar where people can come & sit to eat. Definitely not what I’m used to.

I’ve gone once before it was not my cup of tea my husband recently decided to give it another try, not sure if they changed management or chef but I actually enjoyed it this time around. I had a Caterpillar, Washington, Philadelphia and a San Francisco roll well my husband and I. Rolls even seemed larger. This’ll Def be my quick and go sushi spot. I enjoy toshiko for dinning in and to sit and enjoy some good sushi!

I got a dragon roll and it was nasty! Not only was it warm, but it tasted gross. Definitely the worst sushi I’ve ever had. I will not be returning to buy any sushi of other food for that matter. Definitely a waste of my money! I gave them 1 star because it wouldn’t let me go any further if I didn’t at least rate it one star, it definitely did not deserve any stars

I love the convenience of a drive-thru Japanese restaurant. I love the fact that it is only about a block away from work too! The food is fresh. I usually get the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box and it is a big portion. This time around I got the«diet meal» which consists of Chicken Teriyaki with rice, small salad, small salad(I LOVE the dressing) &16oz soda. It was under $ 6. Awesome Japanese food fix.

Been here twice for the teriyaki and rice. It was highly over priced and under yummy. They were not very good. Not much flavor and the chicken was mostly gristle. Both times I wish I had more sauce because it was flavorless except for the sweet sauce. The sauce did taste like the bottled stuff, but it was better than nothing!

Can’t resist the Veggie Chicken Bowl. Veggies are always fresh & crisp. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the rice perfectly cooked. The dinning area is always clean. The background music is unexpectedly jazzy and upbeat. My only wish is that they would provide more substantial plastic forks. All in all, still one of my favorite places in Hanford.

My expectations on this place were a little higher but the fact that it was overpriced for a mediocre meal. Service was acceptable but the food was lacking, there was no wasabi for my roll and the environment looked sloppy, not happy at all.

Gave it three stars because it could have been a lot cleaner for a restaurant. Overall the food was good. Pros: food was fresh and affordable. I had a chicken teriyaki bowl and it was good. My son and my sister has the combo plate. The noodles were average but not bad at all. The tempura veggies came with a dipping sauce and were very good. The small side salad was yummy considering it was only made up of a spring mix and dressing. The gentleman that took our order was friendly, helpful and patient. I would say the egg rolls were a little better than average and the size of a small burrito! Free fountain drink refills. There was plenty of seating, only two people were there when we arrived. Cons: soon as we walked in it smelled. My son kept saying«Mom, it stinks in here.» We got used to it and over it rather quickly though. The salt & pepper shakers along with the soy sauce(basically all of the condiment conatiners) were filthy. Yeah, not the cleanest place. I noticed that at the bottom of my paper cup was a black sand like residue not sure if it was from the ice machine or if the cups were dirty but by then it was too late, I had already finished my beverage. The female that was there NEVER smiled and didn’t make us feel welcome.

This place is GREAT!!! I get the bento box or the diet meal, both are Delicious, you can go thru the drive thru lane, when you’re in a bit of a hurry, they make it for you fresh, so you wait a couple minutes, but well worth it! THUMBSUP!

This review is for their Chicken Teriyaki Bow… since that is the only thing that I have gotten to eat here. The bowl is REALLYBIG!!! It may not look like much at first glance, but as soon as they hand it to you, you realize how heavy it is. They give you a good amount of chicken too, they are skimpy at all… at least in my experiences. I personally love the Teriyaki sauce, and since that is the reason why I buy this item, I ask them to give me an extra side. In my experiences here, they never give you enough sauce on the bowl itself. The price for the bowl is also really reasonable, it is around $ 6 and change. I do like how they give you the option to purchase your bowl w/all white meat, and/or extra meat. The service here is ok and nothing more. Most of the workers here are older, and just not overly friendly… they are business only. I think I am going to have to start trying their other menu items, but the Teriyaki bowl is just too good not to get. Do not order the beef bowl… disgusting!!! Old reheated meat #flagproof

Good — the young man who cooks and cashiers and has an upbeat positive attitude. Bad — all the rest… The place is dirty. The old guy probably owner is a sour puss. Drop the salad as part of meals. Nobody eats it or wants it. We ordered combos which were really weak. Almost nothing in the fried rice — itty bitty pieces of egg and mystery meat. Tempura was highlight of combo. People at home wouldn’t even eat grey Teryiaki beef. Asked for the best roll and was sold the deluxe roll. Very short. Very sloppy not beautiful like sushi usually is. Quality of fish poor. Sadly I will not return and I eat sushi at least once a week. Good customer for some other place.

Usually love this place, but tonight they were rude. The husband stopped by a full HOUR before closing time. Went to the drive through, & was ignored for five minutes, even though he said hello repeatedly. All their lights were still on, including the open sign. They simply ignored him until he gave up & drove away. This is the second time this has happened. I understand that maybe they didn’t want to cook anymore, but my husband was there well before their closing time. If they want to keep new hours they should officially change them. The least they could have done was respond to my husband & let him know they were closing early. Disappointing.

When I’m not eating BBQ, I’m often eating Japanese food. For fast food Japanese, this place is the best I’ve experienced. Sushi is always fresh and good and like sushi bars, made to order. I often eat their spicy chicken bowl for lunch. Watch out for the often present firecracker chilis that make the heat. The platters for groups are great, too. I eat there often. You should too.

$ 14 for the unagi bowl?!? Are you kidding me?! Not even any veggies? I can get a whole sushi roll with eel at a real Japanese restaurant for less.

I left California 4 years ago with a not-so-good experience… four years later, I come back and it tastes the same. They’re really Japanese, but the cooking doesn’t reflect it. I’ve had better Udon in Okinawa(obviously), but still. The taste, I believe, was altered to adhere to the American taste. It isn’t exactly the Japanese food that I know, but it does alright. Tempura is always good. Nothing bad about that. The California rolls were okay, not great, but okay to satisfy a craving. This place doesn’t get that many customers the times I go to eat here, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth trying. It’s alright, but a little less than what I expected.
