In my two visits to the dental office have been greeted and met with professional staff. Overall they have a clean office, are warm, welcoming, and have good financial plans for those bills that may lead up to be over 100 dollars. But they lack in the customer service skills and don’t understand a person’s busy schedule. They have an overwhelming fee of $ 50 for a person that cancels their appointment last minute. Yes, that is understandable but what about the people that try to reschedule their appointment 16 hours in advance? you still get charged $ 50. The answer is Yes, I was charged $ 50 even when I tried to reschedule an appointment. The reason being that I had found a job after four months as an unemployed college student, and I was called in only one day before the day of the appointment. The office staff understood this and tried to reschedule me the very day but it wasn’t possible. They understood the time constraint of me commuting an hour away and yet nothing was possible to change the appointment and I was still charged. I rather commute elsewhere where the office staff will understand the difficulties of a busy schedule and my commute from hour away. Avoid this office if you are commuting from away, a busy mom, military personal, college student, care taker of the elderly, the elderly, or are just a person whose schedule might change at any minute. Carole B. Murphy will not appeal to your lifestyle and may slap you on the wrist with an overwhelming«late /missed» appointment fee if you cannot reschedule or show up.

Carole Murphy’s practice has made it as far as it has because of her hygienists; they are friendly, helpful & good at their jobs. Carole herself lacks any human compassion or customer service skills. If times are tight and she must sit at the front desk; she can learn to look up and greet you when you walk in. I sat un-greeted or helped for 10 minutes my last time in; which was solely to get a copy of my dental records for the Navy – which apparently takes days to obtain and has a FEE to get a copy of them in their entirety. I am not asking for military exceptions but sometimes the Navy has it’s own timeline and that is not something that can be controlled. She has no regard for maintaining a professional relationship with her patients new or old. Beware of hidden fees – I was told I needed a filling the next time I came in, but specifically said I would like to consult my Father-In-Law, a dentist as well, and my next visit I was going to be charged $ 50 if I didn’t get it done there and now because they«saved» the chair for me. Oh and they close for lunch – which is fine but the door remains locked until the exact time they re-open – so much for being early — just go ahead and sit in the car and wait until you’re late and then try opening the door again. Bottom Line: Find a Dentist who CARES about you!
