Their hot roast beef sandwich is the greatest! Plentiful high quality meat in the sandwiches. This restaurant has been around for nearly 30 years for a reason.

It’s good food at a good price it’s take a little but longer then most places but it’s worth it. The Steak subs are the best in town they talk longer but it’s well worth the wait. It’s family owned do you know quality is good.

Boston House of Pizza is an institution in Hanford. Growing up, pizza from here was a treat. Its just good. Ordered a pizza… on a night they were delivering (because it changes), was promised within 45 mins. An hour and a half later was still waiting. No phone call. I had taken a nap, washed my dishes and even started reading my book and the gentleman I spoke with acted like I was the crazy one for requesting to cancel. It makes me very nervous because this reminds me of Yarnal’s. Boston closed their 12th Ave store because of rising rent rates, and it makes sense for a business decision. Doesn’t mean you should sacrifice service. Please Boston, get your act together. Mountain Mike’s is coming to town and so is Papa Johns.

Food is good on pickup but they need to get with the times and get a computer system. Epic failure for delivery tonight and when I called back they said they couldn’t find the house and they wrote the phone number wrong. The days of handwriting orders are over. Lost our business tonight with their weak. I am sorry. No effort to take care of the customer

Good pizza. I have tried many of the places in town but came here on the recommendation of my neighbors. Both times I have been here the pizza was tasty, hot, and done the way I ordered. Crust is thin on the bottom so it can be a little soggy, but the amount if toppings makes up for it. I have ordered a Boston combo as well as a ham and pineapple. I had the ham and pineapple cooked well don and it helped with the sogginess of the crust.
The only thing that I was not thrilled with was the darkness of the dinning room. Lots of places to sit but super dark.

The employee was really nice. Very helpful. The garlic cheese bread came out first and it looked so plain but when we started eating it, it was delicious. Then the pizza was good, soft, hot, perfect. We also ordered wings but I didn’t eat those because they only had bone in. I recommended this place.

Grew up on this pizza, home grown fav for the shnaz! Stop by mad, leave happy works every time from the hot sandwiches from the pizza U cannot go wrong! Really slap the shit out of your moma and daddy good! I always forget to stop when passing by and slap myslef when I realize the mistake I made :)

Yet another reason why good pizza in California is a myth. Two hours for delivery or 45mins for pick up. This is ludicrous it is not a special event weekend or holiday etc… The pizza is nothing special, kinda of had an off taste to it maybe not cooked all the way then at the last second turned up the heat to try and make up for it? I would rather stick with Domino’s over this place and that is pretty bad.

Food is adequate. No seasoning on steak sandwich.. Took over 25 minutes for a small steak sandwich on a Wednesday afternoon. Only one in store. Way too long to make.

We arrived and placed our order. There was one other table in front of us. 50 mins later we ask how much longer it will be. I’m diabetic and we had 2 youngish kiddos with us and we where getting hungry. They said it would be another 12 mins. pizza ovens take 7 mins to cook a pizza. Service SUCKED. The pizza?
We got their large 3 topping and large 1 topping deal with 2 personal size pizzas for the kids. The 3 toppings were bacon, pepperoni and olives, the single was marinated chicken. There was so much grease that it immediately soaked through the paper plates. The amount of grease rendered the crust a slimy mess. The sauce was actually really good and the topping were tasty. It’s just too bad it was all swimming in grease.
The personal pizzas looked ok and the kids ate em up with no complaints. I think next time we are in town we will try something else.

They just pissed me off. I’m on a strict schedule and decide to call in my order 30 mins early. I get there and the system they’re using to write their orders is a sheet of paper. Because of this my order was never written down. They just set my mood off. I hate bad food service. I won’t be going to them anymore. I’m sticking with dominoes or something like that.

Ordered two large pizzas for pickup as they were running a special for 20 bucks. The pizzas tasted fine, but canned mushrooms should be outlawed. I didn’t think to ask beforehand because I thought everybody had switched to fresh mushrooms by now…

Ordered a Steak Special w/​out Mushrooms here the other night to split between my daughter and myself. They made my order pretty quickly, only about 10 – 15 min.
Got home and wanted to tear into the sandwich, but was sad to see they did not put any cheese on it… BIG bummer. The cheese is a big part of the sandwich.
Cheese aside, the meat was very bland. I added my own salt and pepper to it. My daughter who will usually be happy with whatever we have for dinner, was not a fan. Instead she made herself a sandwich at home.
I wont give up on them though, they usually make pretty yummy sandwiches, they probably were just having an off day or got a new cook…

This place is famous.
The pizza is out of this world.
It’s a bit greasy at first, right before you turn into an animal and devour everything not bolted to the floor. I’m serious, this is pizza so good that it makes you go a bit «mental.»
“The Boston Special” is a combination pizza which is famous for hundreds of miles, as is their «Boston Steak Special» sandwich.
I may be wrong, but I believe it’s not uncommon for people who rob this place to just take the pizza and run… forget the money.
That’s what I’d do.
