I was walking down the street, happened upon this new shop, and noticed their selection of mid-century lamps out front was above-average. Inside a mid-century credenza with hutch caught my eye.
I came back the next day and got the really nice Wormley-for-Widdicomb credenza for a song. Iacopo and his wife (I’m blanking on her name –sorry!) were incredibly nice, and they honored the accidentally lower price for one of the items that she’d quoted me the day before –er they tried but I didn’t let them as it’s in my self-interest to make sure they’re still in business the next time I need a mid-century piece.
I almost don’t want to mention this place because it’s so great!
