Great location and great staff. Very small store but a great selection given the space. Cool T-shirts too.

Located right next to the gourmet grilled cheese truck, Trucking Delicious, the Hanalei Liquor store is conveniently placed along the right side of the highway on your way into Kalalau. We ordered lunch at Truckig Delicious and were referred by them to visit the liquor store out front for a beer to go with our sandwiches. Decent selection of craft beers(interesting selection of Rogue), wine, and other treats. The woman who worked the counter was very friendly, but I don’t know how she can stand the heat! it’s so hot in that store! thanks to her, we had a great meal with our organic Sam Smith lager.

Small shop, but excellent spam musubi. Would recommend it for anyone wanting a solid musubi at a reasonable choice. Beats anything on the mainland.

Small shop with friendly staff. Found the selection of snacks, beer, and general accessories to be quite good considering it’s size. I saw some locals grabbing the spicy spam masubi(seaweed spam rice wrap) and grabbed one myself after. I was glad I did. It was amazing. A must try!

Great little liquor store on the highway. And by little I mean it, it’s gotta be the size of my bedroom. No joke. No matter; well stocked and friendly staff, i checked out the 22’s and other local goods sold here… Not disappointing at all, but a bit on the pricy side(no surprise,) this place has a lil bit of everything. Beer wine booze caffeine and snacks, chances are you’ll find something plus something else you weren’t looking for here. Got a recommendation on a bar nearby from the cashier which was appreciated. Stop in here if you’re curious!

Yummy musabi, good selection of drink and your typical liquor store stock, a kind, gracious and welcoming woman who brought out their entire stock of T shirts for my sisters to check out… they were $ 15 each, good quality Hanes Tagless Brand and they have the classic 1960s design and a newer logo, great shirts for gifts and to sport back on the mainland. A cute little store in paradise…

An adorable little liquor store just down the street from one of Hanalei’s best shopping/dining districts. We picked up a few mini bottles of Bailey’s to take with us on our flight home. There came in quite handy. But seriously, the shop is tiny, the stock is decent, and the employees are friendly.

The workers at the Quiksilver in the building right next to this liquor store recommended that we stop in for the spicy spam masubi and Goteborg sausage w/rice/furikake. They weren’t lying! Both were good. I’ve had spam masubi on many of the islands and none have been spicy. It’s the same classic masubi but I like the ratio of the size of spam to rice. They even season the rice with a little shoyu because the rice is brown, but the shoyu doesn’t make it salty at all. They also sprinkle furikake inside. It’s yummy! The Goteborg sausage with rice and furikake was also good. The Goteborg sausage looks like salami but it has a more meaty texture and not as oily. Definitely a spot that I will go to before I hit the beaches down the road. Both would be good snacks to pull out on the beach. Restrooms: Didn’t notice if they had one or not.

Only spot near Princeville to get Blue Curaco to make a Blue Hawaiian! Easy to miss, it’s a small store on the right side of the road if your driving towards Hanalei.

Totally agree with Nick S. I’ve been coming to Kauai for years, but it was his review that turned me on to this place. «Spam Musubi» is a Hawaiian delicacy, and this is one of the best I’ve ever had. The spicy roll is the better choice, in my opinion. Also, the Tahitian beer Nick makes reference to is one of my favorite beers — Hinano — which is not available in the midwest, so I only get to enjoy it when I’m in Kauai. So Good — and a killer combination with the Musubi. Go early — she usually runs out by early afternoon. «Don’t be a wuss!»

I’m happy to be writing the first review of this little place. This is a pretty typical beer/wine/grocery kind of place, but they serve an island specialty: spam rolls. Imagine a piece of spam, about as long as a dollar bill, covered in rice and wrapped in seaweed. They also make a spicy spam roll. Given that this was an island delicacy on Kauai, I figured I had to try one. My vegetarian girlfriend certainly wasn’t going to and no one else in my family seemed interested. I tried my spam roll on Kalihiwai beach with a 32 ounce of Tahitian beer and it was GREAT. While I was looking at their t-shirts on my second visit, they sold about 15 between the time I walked in and the time I paid for the shirt. Go here. Try a spam roll. Don’t be a wuss. It was awesome.
