Stopped here for lunch after a nice hike on the Napali Coast and what a great little place! Our lunch was fantastic — I had an incredibly fresh, large salad with wonderfully grilled chicken and house made vinaigrette — my husband had their coconut battered fish and chips — both fantastic! Highly recommend as a casual, delicious lunch place!

Don’t do it ~ eat somewhere else! There was no one in front of us and it took 40 minutes to get a lousy-tasting huevos rancheros and a breakfast burrito I would rate a 3 if it arrived immediately!

If you’re looking for local food, this is the place… Nothing to write home about, but they do have reliablly good food. My husband and I had breakfast here and it was relaxing and satisfying. Its a mom and pop shop, so don’t expect a four star restaurant. But if you’re looking for what the locals eat, its here.

Extremely bad. Avoid at all costs. The eating area is very dirty, as is the front counter where the drinks are made. The food is extremely overpriced and the portions have been cut down by the new owner. The old Polynesian café was so much better it’s really a shame that it’s been replaced by this disaster. I’ve been there three times and every time my order has either been cold, burnt, or not what I ordered. The employees are not interested at all in what they’re job they have argued in front of me several times. I hope things work out for them, it’s a shame to have such a great location and potential and waste it!

Surly and disinterested servers, didn’t care at all about the quality of the food. Charged $ 7.50 for a «smoothie» that was liitle more that apple juice with shredded pineapple floating in it. Plenty of dumb tourists(like me) will give them money because of their central location; don’t be one of them.

Generic, overpriced food, slow service. They overcharged me on some of the worst chicken nachos I’ve ever had and tried to pass it off as some sort of special tax. Had already been having a terrible day and didn’t feel like arguing, but I should have withheld the tip because of it. Only stopped by because we were very hungry. Next time I’m in Hanalei I will take the time to find somewhere better!

This place sucks! Pardon the words, but I ordered 2 burgers and fries and it was a 30 minute wait! There were 2 people ahead of me also waiting with similar orders! 2 cooks in the back were working while the other employees were ukulele playing in the lobby. Service was just terrible and no one gave a damn! I waited patiently and once I did get my food, the burgers were dry and the fries were cold! L&L of all people had better service and HOT food for my wife and kiddo.

Does the trick but is nothing special. I had a pork and fish taco combo(off-menu) and both of them were decent. My girlfriend had the cesar salad and it was very generic. I’ll reiterate this place’s food as generic as the cesar dressing was obviously premade and the salsa for my tacos was Pace. I’d give it 4 since it has its charm, but the food is rather overpriced for what the quality is.

We came here when I’d promised my son shave ice and the Wishing Well Shave Ice was, inexplicably, closed. It was fine.

Very bad service. Food looks bad too. The one short haired woman doesn’t know how to smile. Maybe it’s a bad day for her. We waited for 50 mins. They were not even busy. We finally left and walked cross the street. There is the real good one lined up with locals. It’s called Hanalei Coffee Roasters. I talked to a few locals. They told me Hanalei Café was just opened less than two months. Locals go to Hanalei Coffee Rosters.

I’ve only ever had their smoothies. Best mango smoothie ever!

This take out café in Chin Young Village just wasn’t very good. The plate lunch with two scoops of bland rice, dried out kalua pig or teriyaki chicken for $ 12.

I found this great local spot for those who need to take a break for some good grub! They got delicious buffalo chicken burgers and fish tacos which hit the spot after a long day out in the waters. They have a very extensive full menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Included are Hawaiian local favorites. The portions are huge and generous! Definitely my favorite place to stop by so far on my trip! And there’s a pretty long view of a waterfall there! :)

We found this place after getting some breakfast in the hanalei center. Their breakfast is great bang for your buck and service is good:) portions are great and oh free wifi! Get the«local big boy». You get two of everything. Portuguese sausage, spam, rice, eggs and bacon! Doesn’t get better than that!

Hard to give a rating… One of apparently 2 places open in Hanalei on Christmas night. They seemed understaffed and understocked(no ice for shave ice, no cheesecake, no chocolate for the mocha), but I give credit being open at all. I overheard that their orange and pineapple juices are fresh squeezed/blended, so that seems good.)
