I have had it with this place. The movie projector is never working and you can only use it until 7pm. It took them more than a week to fix the elevator. The pipes droans loudly when you turn it on. And today, to make matters worst. We were told we are allowed to have a kids party only to be kicked out because the property manager does not want to get splashed when they drink their beer at the pool. All bells and whistles. I’m paying for so much money and for what. The people are snobby even though they are uneducated and hicks. And on top of that to make a reservation so they can use the pool house, we were told we have to pay for it. What? That was never told to us or in the lease. I’m counting down until I leave this place. If you have children or a minority, reconsider. Do not get pulled by their superficial amenities.

My husband and I were here(per Navy orders) and I thought everything was fine… UNTIL we moved out. When we received new orders for out-of-sate, we broke our lease with a 30 day notice. When we got to our new home we received emails and phone calls with the balanced we owed The Channel. And it was almost $ 800… Cleaning charges are expected, but they charged to replace the blinds(which were fine) ANDADDED a $ 300 pet fee when we had no pet. I called many times trying to explain that and they said it was because we had left behind a pet carrier and that was there proof. If I had a pet, don’t you think I’d take the pet carrier with me?!(FYI the pet carrier was from a previous animal we gave away months before moving in) I’ve also been THREATENED to be sent to collections nearly every time I try to depute these charges. If you’re military I’d watch your back when you leave. They’ll charge you hundreds of dollars as soon as you’re hours away and you’ll be screwed. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

If you are looking for resort-style living at a very reasonable price, you have GOT to come check out The Channel. The apartment homes are spacious and comfortable, the staff are exceptional, and the environment is social and friendly. At least once a month they host resident events that are simply outstanding!(Oyster roasts, Friends-Giving dinner, Costume parties, wine and cheese tasting, pool parties, etc.) Centrally located, you are convenient to everything — in 20 – 25 minutes you can be downtown, beaches, shopping, restaurants, schools and more! The Channel is a wonderful place to call home whether it be for a little or a long time! Stop by and tell them Janie sent you!
