Our new favorite spot on Maui is Geckosong, a unique cedar home with pano view of the ocean and flower farms in an area of Maui where old Hawaii lives. This is true paradise. Peaceful yet plenty to see and do. We loved the private and exotic beaches, the bamboo forest hike to the 400 ft waterfall, the peace and tranquility. The house is perfect if you wish to have a quiet visit in a 4 bedroom home that is a work of art — gorgeous cedar soaring ceilings and woodwork. Sleeps 8 max and has a 3 night minimal. You need 3 nights at least in Hana — so much to see! The owner is wonderful and catered to our needs. Not the best for those with kids under 6. The stars at night are spectacular and the view and birdlife enchanting. Fresh fruit onsite, amazing tropical flowers. The horseback riding was a treat in town and Luana’s Spa heavenly. Look for the best Thai food near the Hana ball park — reasonably priced and deeeelish !
