They don’t even get a star, unless you think telling you to go fuck off is OK wait did I say that was in front of my five year old! Not a kid or female place friendly! The manager Melissa let the waitress Jackie speak to us that way so I believe if your not a local or related you should go there! And then to top it all off after being disrespected that way it still costed 130.00!

Food just ok. It’s bar food, it’s a drinking establishment. Burgers, salads, mac and cheese, chicken fingers etc. In the winter I feel that the quality of food is much better than the summer. The staff is overworked and overwhelmed and I’m sure the cook is too. Stop in on and sit on the deck on a HOT summer day and have a nice cold beer, people watch and perhaps shop next door.

The epitome of great service and food. They messed up my order and bent over backwards to rectify it.

Hate to say it, but the NBB&G seemed like it was going downhill last year and is terrible this year. I live in the area and have been here dozens of times over the years for breakfast and lunch. I’ve been here 3 times this year. Twice for breakfast earlier in the season and once for a late lunch. Seems they have given up on food and are concentrating on the«regulars»(booze bags that seem to be permanently attached to the bar). Last time there, giving it one last chance we ordered a few beers which took about 30 minutes to be served despite only 1 other table having customers. We ordered chicken wings & artichoke dip. When the wings came out they were clearly raw by sight, but we asked the waitress if we could cut one open to check before she left. Totally raw so we sent them back and said to forget them. No one could choke down the artichoke dip either so that went basically untouched. We decided not to order lunch after that. Just terrible. When our bill came, it had the chicken wings still on it. Waitress said we just didn’t like them, but they were clearly raw. We didn’t even eat one. Rather than argue, we payed and will never be back again. The owner should move up to Rt 1 and have a bar that serves booze to alcoholics and let someone else open a nice beach themed bar/restaurant here where you can get a decent meal and enjoy the beach.

Hubby and I stopped here for a quick lunch before hitting the beach. Wished we had gone next door or dealt with the Hampton traffic and braved the boardwalk. We were sat inside right away. After a quick peek at the menu, ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start. Service was super slow, and it wasn’t that busy either. Of course our waitress was busy at the table next to us folding silverware and napkins so that probably had something to do with it. The dip came(in a bread bowl), and I can say without question it was the worst spin art dip I’ve ever had. It was hot, and the bread bowl itself tasted good, but the dip was gross. It was like a block of cream cheese warmed up with spinach and artichokes in it. I love cream cheese, but that was ALL you could taste. I ordered fish tacos, which the waitress said had some kind of thousand island-ish sauce on it. I asked what else was on it and she said that’s it, but I could get lettuce, tomatoes, and onion if I wanted. I opted for lettuce and tomatoes. Hubby got the fried haddock sandwich. After a very long wait(35-ish mins), our food finally came. Wished we had quit while we were ahead. My fish tacos were pathetic. There was indeed a thousand island style dressing on then, but they also had french dressing drizzled on it. The fish was burnt, clearly frozen, and only had 1 tiny piece of fish stick on each taco. I put tartar sauce on it and it still didn’t help. Choked it down because I was starving at that point. Cole slaw that it was served with was gross. Way too sweet and no crunch. Hubby’s haddock sandwich was frozen fish, and overcooked. Even a boatload of tartar sauce couldn’t save it. The only good thing was the roll it came on. Even his fries were overcooked. So disappointing to be across the street from the beach and have frozen seafood! All in all, regretting the 40-ish bucks we spent here. Nasty food, slow service, and overpriced for what you get. The bar looked pretty busy, so maybe the mixed drinks are the highlight of this place.

It’s a great spot, and could be so much more. But the management doesn’t seem to care or put much into making it anything special. It’s just a drinking hole. While some of the food is fairly good, like the chowder and fish and chips, others are almost uneatable, like the flat bread pizza, is soggy and has no flavor, the salads are so cold and made ahead, you can’t even cut the tomato never mind try to eat it. But the worst part is it takes forever to get the food. We were there one night and it was not busy at all. I ordered a salad and it took at least 20 minutes to arrive. And it’s not the waitresses fault. They do nothing but apologize and are very nice. You can tell that it is all very unorganized. It’s too bad.

Not sure what was worse the service or the food, I’ve had better burgers at my high school cafeteria. I think it had sand in it too. The sweet potato fries were soft and gross. waited over 10 minutes for the hostess to come take our drink orders, and tell us our waitress would be with us when she could, 1o minutes later she came and took our order and that’s the last we saw of her until she brought us the bill. We needed water and condiments which we never got, will never go here again

I have one question: What the hell is going on in this place!?! Before my most recent experience, I would have rated North Beach Bar & Grille 4⁄5 stars. However, my most recent experience was a nightmare. My two friends and I went to dinner here last Sunday, which was Memorial Day weekend. «Dining» here was a 2.5-hour ordeal. After finishing my drink, I waited 20 minutes before approaching the bartender for a refill. Our waitress, who was MIA, was supposedly«unexpectedly busy.» However, the restaurant was not that busy at all. Our waitress apologized and I let this slip off my shoulders. After ordering an appetizer and clam chowder, things only got worse. The party who was seated 30 minutes AFTER we were was served BEFORE us. We waited 40 – 45 minutes for an appetizer(the North Beach Combo). My chowder NEVER came. Eventually(FINALLY), a waitress/the manager apologized. She blamed the crap service on it being the first time she and our waitress worked together. Okay, whatever. Now, the worst of it: after an hour and 20+ minutes of being in this place(and watching another party sit down & walk out ten minutes later, after nobody approached the table), we were FINALLY served our long-awaited meal. I wish I walked out when the waitress(serving the scallops, identified them as the haddock and the haddock as scallops). I guess it was somewhat hard to identify the dishes after they were burnt to a CRISP A/K/A BLACKENED.(When my friend asked the waitress, «Do you believe this is a meal that’s presentable?» The waitress agreed that it was not). I tried to give the scallops a shot… I actually felt bad for these waitresses… The scallops were the most disgusting ones I’ve ever had. They were burnt so much that they were chewy and got stuck in your teeth, like over-cooked steak. The haddock was disgustingly dry, like I’ve never had/seen done to any fish before. After an appetizer, two bites of a salad, a drink on the house, and witnessing our waitress & all other visible staff disappearing to the backroom every two minutes while ignoring the dining area, I think it’s safe to say I’ll never go back to this hell hole.(Unless, maybe the cook walked off in the middle of the meal, which MAYBE could explain for this horrible experience… were the waitresses cooking & serving… However, we were given no indication of that being the case). I’ve been here at least a dozen times before and I’ve had no complaints until now. What a waste of time, patience, calories, and money. The total bill should have been $ 0. This place was that terrible. I hope everything improves soon. This was such a disappointing experience.

I’ve been here probably two dozen times. This is a good place to have a beer on a summer afternoon and watch the comings and goings at North Beach, providing you serve yourself. There is exactly one good food item, chicken wings. The service here is consistently terrible. I don’t know what the problem is, but I suspect it’s the management or lack of it. They have maybe 15 tables, why does it take upwards of an hour to get served? Last time I was there we couldn’t get served at all. Waitress would walk by, look at us and turn around and go the other way? It’s like the waitstaff doesn’t know which tables they have. Once the hostess warned me when I came in that the kitchen was swamped(15 tables?) and it was taking upwards of an hour to get orders out? This was for breakfast. The need a make over from Gordon Ramsey or something. The only reason I give them two stars is because of the décor and location.

The hubby & I walked by here looking for lunch after the beach. It didn’t look like there was a wait here, so we walked in. We were seated inside right away. Our waitress seemed overworked, the poor thing was so frazzled. She got our drinks right away then took our order. I got a tuna roll with fries and the hubby got chicken fingers. My tuna roll(pictured) was pretty good — a little too much pepper but still good. The hubbys chicken fingers on the other hand… ick. They were served on a bed of lettuce(pictured) which made the chicken fingers soggy underneath. They were gross… and who wants lettuce, celery & carrots as a side for chicken fingers? no one? that’s what I thought. He wouldn’t get that again. We would go back — but we’d both try different meals.

Cool place in a convenient spot, but the food is overpriced and mediocre at best. Grab something next door at Secret Spot – the food is better and half the price.

Came here for a late breakfast and was quite pleased. 2 eggs(over easy and nice and fresh), corned beef hash(really good), homefries(excellent), and orange juice(huge glass). Salt air, lovely sunny day, out on the decks(which was ideal as we were sporting our standard poodle), very friendly waitstaff, fast and efficient, and while we only had breakfast we did peruse the menu and were surprised to see how affordable it was… must try again for another meal and I absolutely recommend it.

I dig this place. I go here a lot because I can walk here. The food is hit or miss. Average at best. I go here for drinks and Apps before later plans usually. It is a great summer sunset spot. Across the street from the beach with a nice outdoor deck for people watching. Big busy surf shop right next door so the people traffic is pretty. ;) Live music on Wednesdays, and Saturdays, sometimes Fridays. No dance floor but if you are bold enough people tend to just move tables and make it work. I love those nights. Bartenders are great and fun. There is a big glass container behind the bar that has lemons and Vodka soaking like a sangria. Johnny rocks. He makes a martini out of it that is just teeth numbing and tasty. It can be standing room only on a high profile sports event night. Other times suprisingly dead. Good local strength.

I really like this beach bar. Laid back atmosphere, decent enough service, and relatively cheap. This is a good spot to relax, wouldn’t recommend if you are looking to party.

No receipt was given and I’m pretty sure they ripped me off here. The price on the Website didn’t match the price I paid for takeout. Update your site because in my opinion this place is all a bunch of rip off artists. The Haddock sandwich and chowder were fine but it wasn’t worth over 20 $. Those weren’t the prices according to the Website. Whoever the lady was just charged me whatever she wanted because of the nature of the area with all its wealthy clientele. The bar and grille seem nice and the food is OK, but the people who work here are greedy obviously and steal from patrons when they see an opportunity. Watch your wallet at this place and check the prices on the menu versus the prices on the receipt. I didn’t get a receipt and was rushed out the door. Hopefully others won’t have the same problem but beware of this rip off joint.

Formerly 931, this is representative of the surfer/local posh-ish crowd. Far enough away from the main Hampton Beach, it’s more of townie spot filled with 40 something divorcees and young surfers. Ok then there are the young people who still live here too. Like most bars in H-bomb, generations come here so you’ll see your parents beside you and your kids. Fun place in the area to see some live music. The bartender’s parents put together a nice cover show. Outside seating in the 3 months of warm weather is nice too. A slight step up on food from most restaurants in the area too.

North Beach Bar & Grill is located next door to the Cinnamon Rainbows Surf Co. at the NH1A(Ocean Blvd)/NH27(High St) intersection, across the road from North Beach. The place is open year round 7 days a week serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The atmosphere is that of a typical loud and casual beach bar, which has a full bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails, big flatscreen TVs showing sports, table seating area, and covered outside seating along the front sidewalk with cars whizzing by, not exactly ocean front. There’s also live entertainment on the weekends and on Wednesday nights starting at 7PM. The menu offerings include typical pub fare of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, fresh seafood, steak, chicken, and more. The prices are moderate, but fair for this area. See the menus at Please note that French Dip Sandwiches, and anything with chili is no longer available. They also have Ladies Night on Tuesday and drink specials too. After a day at the beach, I stopped in here for some dinner. The bar area was really busy and crowded and the outside patio was busy as well. I decided to get takeout and ordered the Lobster Roll($ 13.95) served with chips & pickle, and I upgraded the chips to fries for an additional $ 1. The food order was ready in about 10 minutes, great timing since I parked in a 10 minute parking spot next to the building. Most of the parking around here is pay(meter) parking or permit parking. The food tasted pretty good. The lobster roll had a dense mixture of lobster claw meat, celery, and mayo on a New England hot dog roll, dill pickle chips on the side. The battered covered fries were okay and pretty standard, very crispy and golden, not greasy. Food/Value: 3.3 stars Service: 4 stars(prompt) Atmosphere: 2.5 stars
