Without fail they will screw up your order and the girl who works the counter/​phone is so rude. But the food is good and Hampton is a small town so we continue to go back… best calzones in Hampton.

I used to have an apartment a mile or so from downtown Hampton so we would frequent Gregs pretty often when looking to get some takeout. The pizza is just okay…3 stars for that. The subs were always great… definitely 4 star quality! The steak bomb is loaded full and huge. The fried clams were SO good here…5 star level! They rivaled any of the surrounding fried seafood stands which is a strange but pleasant surprise from a pizza/​sub shop.

Ordered takeout today. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Showed up a few minutes early and then waited 15 minutes in the shop for my food. Total 30 minutes from when I called. Workers weren’t very friendly and didn’t make any conversation while I waited right in front of them. Didn’t even bother to cash me out while I waited. The food was alright. My pasta was brown in some parts suggesting it was slightly burnt. The pita bread that came with my friends salad was put in a sub roll bag that they bought the sub rolls in… They didn’t even bother to put it in Tin foil or a new bag. Overall not impressed. I work in two restaurants and none of this would be acceptable at either job.

I have have both ordered for delivery and ate in the restaurant… I agree with the review of how they are like the soup nazi from Seinfeld.
The order is always wrong and the food quality consistently goes downhill. I’m not asking for much just a fresh salad…
There are better options in Hampton.

I get food here a lot! We get white pizza, (for New England it’s good). We’re from Chicago and NewYork so bland cardboard or beach pizza is not pizza. But Gregs is good. We also get chicken cutlet ziti with cheese they bake in the oven. Chicken Wings are good. Scallops used to be good not so much anymore. They are a little abrupt to the point of being rude sometimes. They do charge extra for a lot of things. Wings I get anywhere else all over the country comes with blue cheese, they charge. They charge for cheese when it should come on it… Like Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. You can’t complain… They’re a little «Soup Nazi-ish”(From Seinfeld) But I live in Hampton and they deliver and it’s decent food. So I kind of laugh it off! Their delivery service is good. The food is on time and is always HOT!

Ordered a clam roll a few days ago. It came with a lot of french fries and onion rings. However, the clams were inedible. They were impossible to chew. The batter was ok but the clams were the worst I have ever had. The french fries were ok. The onion rings were extremely dry under the outer coating. A large quantity and a good outer coating does not make up for terrible clams and onion rings. I called and was told nobody else had complained. Will not go back.

My first order from here was delivered cold and soggy. I gave them a second chance only to find out the customer service here is horrible. After placing an order they called me 30 minutes later to say they were unwilling to deliver to the beach. I spoke with the manager who was extremely rude when I was trying to explain to him that there was no traffic at all. Never heard of a delivery service who is unwilling to deliver in the SAME town.

This is probably my 5^th time ordering from Gregs. Its near my work and very conveinant. I usually get a shrimp salad which is amazing but this time I switched it to a chicken parm sub today. Chicken parm sub I would say is in my top #3 of Chicken Parm subs i’ve had in my life. They either make or buy a really great sauce. My order was ready really fast. I would reccomend Gregs for pick-​up/​take out.

We’re Not Seeing Each Other Any More
When I first went here I really liked it, I even brought friends and family the next few times either for eating in or takeout. Unfortunately my initial enthusiasm has died down and now I really see the place as way less than great.
It’s not fine dining, but that’s ok, it has a cozy bar area and ‘pizza place’ style dining room.
The reason I won’t be ging back anytime soon and definitely not bringing anyone is a few things.
1)my last few visits the staff was a little pushy, even annoyed I was there ordering.
2)the food is barely reasonably priced considering its not high quality at all — I don’t know why I didn’t see that at first
and 3 — this is a biggy —
I had a testy exchange with some guy who told me you pay extra for cheese on a parm sub -??? what??? that’s what a parm sub is. otherwise just call it chicken and sauce or whatever.
Of course the upsell charge wasn’t mentioned or posted (that I could see) so when my bill was $ 1.50−2 more I asked why they hadn’t changed their sign.
i was told cheese is extra, and some people get it with lettuce, tomato, and whatever — NO THEY DON’T — and for the money I think there was like half a slice of cheese on a large sub.
It just rubbed me the wrong way — especially since everyone could care less I got jacked a cheese fee on a parm sub, but you figure they do that to everyone without telling them and it brings some more money for them over the day

The food took over an hour and a half to arrive. The pizza was cold, soggy, and had the wrong toppings. Very disappointed that I bothered to wait instead of canceling my order.

This place has been a steadfast for some time now And don’t see them changing!!! Excellent selections, tasty food and decent prices!!! The lines waiting for their food And wait time for pickup shows how good they are!!!

While I like the food Greg seems to not put much emphasis on accuracy. On my last take out order both items were not as ordered. Greg himself took the order for an eggplant parm sub with cheese and sauce and a pastrami sub with extra mustard and pickles. Greg repeated the order back to me on the phone before I hung up. As usual, I get home and no cheese on the eggplant and no pickles on the pastrami. This certainly is not the first time this has happened. Greg’s takes their customers for granted and apparently doesn’t care if the customers order is correct. Close enough is good enough I guess. Lena’s and TNT are right down the street.

Great food! I’ve never had a bad experience here! Prices recently went up due to food cost but i will continue to return. They have great salads, wraps, super beefs and sides!

Great value!!! The size of the entrees is astounding! Friendly, courteous, and speedy service. Had the seafood combo and it was crazy huge! Delish!

If I could do 0 stars I would! This place is rude, and has horrible food. I ordered a chicken ceased wrap about a half an hour ago, it just got here and it was EXTREMELY soggy, not just the actual wrap, but the croutons inside were no longer croutons, they were little pieces of soggy bread. Also there was way to much chicken, and they put the salad dressing on the side… Seems really messy to open it and out it on myself… But the wrist part. I called them to tell them I would like a new wrap, and they said «what do you expect? The chicken is hot» UHM I expect some good customer service and a wrap that isn’t absolutely disgusting? How about that? I am so beyond unsatisfied!

Had delivery twice from them. First time they forgot my side cole slaw. I mentioned this to them one the second time I ordered delivery. So the guy shows up with literally a pound if cole slaw. NICE! (:

I like Gregs!
The new small bar is a nice addition! My wife and I go there a lot. Solid food (never bad) and very good prices. This place is better than most upscale full-​blown restaurants in town that are very over priced. You know who you are (GH)
Not a special occasion restaurant but what the heck…
Try the scallops!

The pizza I had was okay. I stopped in at Greg’s Pizza for a quick lunch break which offers pizza (by the slice or pie), sandwiches, roast beef, subs, pasta, fried seafood (clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock), tips, kabobs, salads, and sides. The place itself is not big, a counter and a few seats along the storefront window.
I got two hot slices of cheese pizza ($ 3) which was ready in 3 minutes. The slices had a breadlike crust with a rich tomato sauce and a layer of mozzarella cheese. The price was right and I was content.
