Candy Corner

Someone told me about Candy Corner and told me this is where there is the best fudge EVER. So, when my chocolate junkie husband was jonesing for a chocolate fudge fix, I suggested we take a drive out to Hampton Beach. It was well worth the drive because the fudge is easily THE. BEST in New England. We’ve sampled fudge from Edgartown (good), Nantucket (good), Newport, RI (fair), Ogunquit (OK), Bar Harbor (quite good, but way too far to travel for a fix), but Candy Corner’s fudge outdoes them all.
Parking is a problem, so when we go for a fudge fix, I get dropped off on the corner of Ocean Blvd. and C St. while my husband drives around the block once or twice. Yeah, in case you’re wondering, I do rather feel like I’m hooking up with a dealer.
Once inside, the biggest problem is trying to decide what kind of fudge to buy – so many great combinations and so little time. When he deal is sealed and I have my little box of amazing fudge, I hop in the car and we can usually make it just off Ocean Blvd. before we flip the lid on the box and dig in for a quick fix to get us back home. It’s all rather disgusting, but in such a good way! I’m glad Candy Corner is not in our backyard, otherwise we’d be grossly overweight.

This place never fails, the fudge is smooth and creamy, no trace of grit at all, and the flavor combos are wonderful! My personal favorite I’d the chocolate peanut butter, and the rocky road, and the penuche, but wait, the snickers is fantastic! Do yourself a flavor and try them all!
As for the taffy, well I come from a long line of taffy lovers who have for years searched out the best taffy around and to date, I win! This is it! The best taffy around, at least in New England. My favorite is the molasses, cinnamon roll, caramel, licorice, and oh yes, the maple. If you are in the area and looking for candy, this the THE place to go! Don’t bother with other shops, it’s a waste of time.

If your looking for the BEST Taffy and Fudge in New Hampshire (Maybe even the best candy store in New England) the Candy Corner is the place to go! They have about 30 different flavors of Taffy to choose and are all packed with TONS of flavor and the texture is soft yet chewy! YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!! Also they have about 20 different flavors of fudge; you must try the creamsicle! It is over the top Delish! Also! staff here are super friendly and helpful!
