Bubba-N-Frank’s Smokehouse BBQ

Very nice sized shaved pork BBQ sammy. First time here havent tried anything else but will definitely go back. They werent that busy this day but I was in & out. Prices are reasonable and staff very helpful.

This was my family’s first visit and it was amazing. We were greeted by the friendly staff that walked us through the menu. We had the chopped and pulled pork bbq and fresh-​cut fries. The food was excellent, sizable portions, fresh, and served steaming hot. Two thumbs up!!!

I was super excited to find a bbq place right outside work but unfortunately it didn’t give me my fix. I ended up trying the platter with brisket, NC pork and a smoked burger because that’s really unique. The brisket was meh, nothing special. The smoked burger tasted like a frozen patty that had all of its moisture cooked out. The NC pork was fairly good so go with that if you want to check out this place.

Has decent Mac and cheese but an insult to bbq. The north just can’t make good bbq.

Overall pretty good. The staff was really nice and personal. Regarding the food, much of this review will be in comparison to County Grill simply because it’s the nearest good barbeque place. First off-​good size portions. A half rack of pork ribs was too much for me to finish (maybe not for a hungry full size man, but took much for me.) The portion size of the sides was good, average. The ribs weren’t quite as tender as County Grill but they were also more of a drier, less saucy kind of preparation. Not bad, just different. It’s up to your taste. They offered 3 kind of sauces. I got one that was thinner, a little more vinegar based but still good. The «sopping sauce» seemed to be a little thicker. So overall, the ribs were good. The Mac-​n-​cheese wasn’t «bad.» It was better than the box Kraft stuff, but the cheese still tasted processed. The flavoring of the greens was good. The pieces were a good edible size (the greens at County Grill are too big) but they still had stems in them. (Maybe that’s just a personal thing; at home we toss out the stems.) The hush puppies were more cake-​like than corn-​meal type, but they were very tasty, very unique. Never tasted cake-​like hush puppies before. The cost was really good for what you get. $ 15 for a meal I’m going to eat off for 2 days, that’s a good deal. I got take out (which the place was set up for which is a PLUS since County Grill really isn’t.) By the time I got home, unloaded the car, did a few other things before I opened the container to eat, the food was STILL HOT and tasted good. Overall, a very good experience. So why didn’t I give this place 5 stars? It’s just my personal preference is for more saucy, more tender ribs. Would I recommend this place? Definitely. The eat in area is neat and clean, nothing fancy but clean. Really good service. Good food. What’s not to like? The location kind of off the beaten path (but you can see it from a heavily traveled street) so I hope they get enough business to stay open, I want to go back.

Great bbq. They offer nc style or at.loius. Both taste great and the pork has a nice smoked flavor. Their brisket subs are really good too

This place is AMAZING! I love their pulled pork. My husband gets their brisket sandwiches. Burgers taste kind of bbq’ey. Not to my taste. The sides are great! I love the mac-​n-​cheese. We were waiting for our food to be brought out (you order at the counter) and we had a large party. They brought us chips. And home made fresh salsa! Yum. It’s so refreshing to get everything you want and a little extra too! The folks who run the restaurant are fine people. Wait staff is extremely polite. A great dining experience!

I loved my chopped pork sandwich. I add the coleslaw and a little of the soppin’ sauce and St. Louis sauce and it was delicious. My husband had the brisket sandwich and gave it a ¹⁰⁄₁₀. The dries were little to be desired but the lady behind the counter let me know that the macaroni and cheese is one of the the items they do not make in house so I passed… hubby has the sweet potato wedges and he liked the first few… will probably try again.

Not what I expected it to be. I’ve been to their other location in Carrolton it’s the same. I wont go back. For the price they charge it’s not worth going back again. Not authentic BBQ. I was very disappointed. If anyone wants authentic BBQ and for the same price points better off going to Smoke on Warwick.

Good food; yet to find anything that wasn’t tasty, hot and good.
You order at the counter but they deliver to your booth or table, and they also clear the table for you. The staff is friendly. Meals are prepared to order so this is not fast-​food.
I can personally recommend the burgers, BBQ (NC style: chopped pork with vinegar-​based sauce; they also have St. Louis-​style), and (pork) ribs.
Only reason for four instead of five stars is several flies had to be shooed away during the meal.

This is my third time here…
First time I had the brisket philly. It’s delicious but SUPER hot. I need to get a plate of just the brisket next time.
Second time I had a bubba burger and if you have never had a smoked burger before there is now time like the present to try one.
This time I finally had the chopped pork bbq (only took 3 tries to try the bbq at a bbq joint lol). And it was also very good. The sauces are tasty and plentiful and the pork is nicely cooked. I wouldn’t be opposed to a bit less shred and a bit more chop but I would definitely eat it again.

Two stars for a few reasons one they just opened and the place was already not the cleanest not terrible if you don’t mind about four flies circling you, plus and this part may not be their fault it was pretty warm in there especially for hot food enough so to make me change my order for to go instead if «dine in». Another reason honestly was the price point, we had two 10 dollar meals add drinks price before tip 29 dollars ok if the food stands up for the price. I got chopped bbq platter (nc style) with mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese, my husband got the chicken tender platter with Mac n cheese n fries both come with hush puppies as well. Four to be specific and they were dense, doughy and no crunch at all tbh they tasted like yesterday’s. The Mac n cheese was ok but not hot steamy fresh kinda like it lost a lot on a steam table, in fact KFC has fresher tasting. The mashed potatoes a get points for being actual potatoes but it was literally a scoop and it included that dried up part that sticks to the edge of the hotel pan. Fries I am told were slightly undercooked but had potential. The reason they got a second star was because the chicken tenders were good breading was crispy and decently seasoned. The BBQ was in a word generic, it had the smell of smoke but not really the flavor of it granted it’s carolina style so it has vinegar so that could’ve killed the smoke. All in all the BBQ was ok but this brings me back to the original point of price, for just about 30 dollars it wasn’t worth it to me. Take the extra time and go to smoke or county grill for the SAME price. Perhaps different menu items would be better.

Our family was eager to try this new BBQ joint after a friends recommendation. Very good! The staff was friendly, restaurant was very clean, options are grand. I ordered the Brisket Sandwich while my husband ordered the chopped pork sandwich. Our sides were Mac N’Cheese, Collards, and sweet potato fries all fantastic. We will definitely return soon.
