Awful! Stay away from here! My Mom and I both ordered the fried clams and got sick from them after eating. Over priced and underwhelming. Try Browns for a much safer and better fried seafood meal.

I ordered the grilled swordfish with rice and steamed vegetables. The fish was excellent — tender, tasty, and grilled perfectly. I didn’t care for the Mediterranean sauce but my husband liked it for his fries. The steamed vegetables and rice were scant. The half and half fish fry(shrimp and haddock) was excellent — not covered in thick batter. The price was just okay but NH food taxes added up. I had Guiford’s ice cream– birthday cake flavor — and it was superb. The woman who accepted our order and served our meal was very nice. The place could have been brighter. Location Is great, off main road, with easy parking.

Came here about a week ago, we come every year. Love the waitstaff, the girls are always great, love the food but this was a new experience for us. The poor girl at the counter was trying to take our order but couldn’t hear over the music the cook was playing, he must be new because usually the owners nephew cooks our food(ask for him). She apologized for the music and asked him to turn it down because none of us could hear to order and she couldn’t hear us, he turned it down but as soon as we sat it went right back up. Apparently he doesn’t realize it’s an open kitchen and you can hear everything. We didn’t go out to dinner to listen to 90s Brittney Spears for a half hour. Plus to top it off, our fried food was way too over cooked. A lot too fried. Do I recommend the place, yes, but make sure you know who’s cooking first!

Absolute worst lobster roll! Total waste of money. I was driving by and saw the sign for«best lobster roll.» Well let’s just say, $ 17 for a lobster roll that was all bun, was awful. Only thing on the plate that was good, was the pickle. Definitely will NEVER return. Stay AWAY!

Riding by on our scooters, I saw a sign that said, «Best Lobster Roll». I turned around and went in to find out. Wife and I both had the lobster roll which was $ 16.00 each. Lobster roll was good, not great. No real flavor, not a ton of lobster. Fries were skimpy and seemed like frozen fries. When we left I noticed it did not say who rated them the best lobster roll. It was just their opinion I guess. It’s not my opinion.

This place is amazing! I can not even believe that are any reviews under 5 stars! I am one picky eater especially when it comes to my seafood and this place nailed it! They have a fresh seafood market that you can buy all kinds of seafood off of the boat, which is also what they use to make all of their fresh food. Service, atmosphere, prices, and food were all spectacular this is for sure our go to seafood spot!

Stopped in initially to find out if they had blue crabs, because growing up in Maryland, they’re my kryptonite. They said they could get them, asked what I wanted and took my phone number — a few weeks later I got a call that they were in — yay! Upon arriving I was a bit disappointed that I had to educate the fish monger on the difference between males and females, when I specifically had requested only males*. It also seems odd that I would have to educate them on this as it seems you should know what you’re selling, even if it’s not a product you get very often. After requesting three dozen males, it left them with only a couple which they just threw in the bag. Super nice! Except when we got home, we only had two males and nine of the crabs were dead, which required just being thrown away because you don’t cook and eat dead crabs.(Well, I guess you could, but I certainly wouldn’t risk it) I called to let them know and they were apologetic, but said there wasn’t anything they could do since it was a special order. Now, I have to admit I’m bothered by this. It was a special order that they got wrong, since I asked for only males and almost a third were dead, but they couldn’t do anything about it even though we picked them up the same day they called to tell us they were in? Yeah, this does not inspire confidence in me to purchase other products from them in the future. * I specifically only buy male crabs because I am rabidly against harvesting female crabs. Female crabs lay eggs and are frequently harvested full of eggs because this makes them feel heavier. In 2014, their stock is considered depleted at only 68 million crabs in the Chesapeake Bay, the lowest count in 12 years. We are not going to successfully sustain the species if we continually harvest egg-bearing females. /soapbox

Got a bowl of fish chowder and had 2 bites of fish in the whole bowl, got a calm and scallop plate and had only 4 of each. And the tarter sauce tasted sour, I think it was bad. stay away

Stopped in for a Lobster roll, which was pretty good, and a decent price. I have to say I had two pieces of shell in the lobster roll that I was pissed about. The chowder was a little thin, but wifey did like it

Drove by this place as it was being built and definitely wanted to put on my list of places to try. Finally stopped for their lobster special. The place was clean and the exterior was very nice. It was a beautiful day so we wanted to eat outside. The place at the back smelled shockingly of sewage so we chose to sit at the front. They had a lack of utensils and trying to get someone to fill the recepticals was not a priority for them, even though there were 5 of us waiting. The dinners were brought out to us and the meal was excellent. We planned to come back to try some of their other menu items. About 2 months later we stopped in just for some chowder, it was inedible. Mentioned this fact to the staff behind the counter and all they said was sorry. We threw the full containers away on our way out. The fact they didn’t try and salvage the situation to make us happy made it worse. We were not looking for much other than perhaps our money back, or credit towards a different item. A neighbor tried them after our bad experience and said the food was good, but preferred Al’s. So it seems the place may have a consistency problem with their kitchen.

I went here yesterday. I will never be returning. I went in looking for pound and a quarter to pound and a half lobsters. When I went up to the register to pay, the amount was very high. I knew something was not right. The man that we dealt with had given us 2+ pound lobsters instead. We were not told that they were out of the other size lobsters, they just assumed they could replace them with the bigger one for a more expensive cost. We had other food too so we were not looking for a huge meal. And I believe it was the owner that came over and barely did anything for us. We also got steamers so we were giving quite a bit of business. I’m all for supporting local businesses but this one should be avoided. I would give zero stars but it is not possible.

It was just OK here. I wanted to try this place for a while, but couldn’t give up my craving for another local competitor, so I skipped by many times. Finally, after seeing they offered a Unilocal deal, I bought one and took a chance. I got chowder and it just wasn’t that great. I mean it was OK, but if I’m going to be in north hampton. I would rather the other place. Mr H got chicken fingers of course and I was surprised at the portion size for the price. It was like 3 chicken fingers. Not even as big as a kids plate in some other places. I don’t think the food was bad, just not great and the value wasn’t very good. I was glas I bought the Unilocal deal, otherwise I would have likely felt ripped off.

RIP-OFF! Two weekends ago I went to Luis Sea Fresh to dine-in, as I was craving some seafood and boy did I get cleaned out. First thing when looking at the menu you’ll notice that there are two categories of portions for certain items, quoting from the hand drawn sign«Basket = Big Portion» or «Plate = HUGE Portion» so thinking a plate would be too much for a lean person like myself, I opted to get a «basket» of fried lobster at $ 15.99 and a bottle of beer for a grand total of $ 21 and change. WHAT A JOKE! I didn’t get a basket, I got a paper plate with 5 thumb sized pieces of lobster and a bunch of fries, are you kidding me? This wasn’t even a normal portion, it was an appetizer at best. The food itself was good, but there isn’t any lobster in the world that would make up for the lack of food. I tried to get in contact with the owner, but the person working there told me he has another business and only drops in randomly.

We’ve driven by this place many times, but decided to try it today. It’s a fish market/lobster pound/restaurant with lots of landscaping & decorations outside. Occasionally, they even use a silly, badly costumed lobster waving roadside. BUTDONOTPASS this place up! YOUHAVETOTRYTHELOBSTERSTEW! Inside isn’t fancy, but it’s clean and pleasant. We’ve had many Lobster«Stews, Bisques, or Chowders». Trust me this«STEW» is a winner! Wonderful complex flavors, chunks of Lobster meat, buttery, with a natural thickness from the cream. We’ll be returning JUST for the LOBSTERSTEW alone. Our other items were a fish sandwich, and the Maine shrimp basket. The sandwich bun was a notch above the usual hamburger bun. The fish was fried perfectly. The tartar sauce was made just right and there are no skimpy little cups, but a quart size squeeze bottle. Maine shrimp are always small in size, and these were golden brown and tender. Our fries were fresh and crisp. Bathrooms are roomy singles, handicapped accessible. As we left we noticed a very nice outdoor seating area, complete with a wood fire pit, lighted and perfect for lounging with an after dinner drink, or… toasting marshmallows? We’ll need to return for the true test of Fried Clams and Onion Rings!

Went to Luis Seafood Fresh on our way back from the seacoast area. The place looked great from the outside, so thought we’d give it a try. We ordered a scallop plate($ 16.99) to share, and a Med fish chowder $ 5.99. When the plate came, I couldn’t believe my eyes how small it was. I’ve heard of tourist traps, but this was ridiculous! A lot of places load the plate with fries if their going to skimp on the seafood, but they didn’t even do that. There were hardly no fries, and tiny pieces of cut scallops. I guess they cut their scallops into tiny pieces so it looks like you get more??? The fries were the frozen, battered fries. The chowder had pulverized fish in it, and the broth has a VERY off taste to it. We both took a couple bites and threw it out. Yuk! There’s nothing I hate more, than to pay for a restaurant’s overhead instead of the quality of the food. Got me once… But never again.

This was our first stop for a meal after arriving in New England and both of us had the twin lobster dinner. Having your lobsters fresh from the tank to the pot is hard to beat! They were excellent. We had stopped here last October for a light meal and had the chowder. That was also excellent. The place is not at all fancy but it is clean and has clean restrooms, which is always a good measure for how they treat the kitchen which you cannot see. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the meals are a very good value. It’s on our list for each trip to New England.

Very thick chunks of cod deep fried tender and moist. Lightly battered without being greasy, the fish was sweet. Hard fried french fries. Plenty of fish with standard tartar sauce. Clam chowder was thick with the right amount of salt. Fresh and not canned clams — how might one tell the difference? Quite simply, they weren’t washed enough since e dry few bites i cracked a nit of sand between my teeth. Slightly annoying but easily overcome by the rich, creamy chowder packed with potatoes, celery and clams. Well done and complete with a full fresh fish counter containing multitude of well displayed fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. Full lobster tanks sorted by size.

I was on my way home from work today and noticed that this place had finally opened. I stopped in and have to say that it is really clean inside. You enter and there is a fish market to the left with really great prices on great fresh looking fish and shellfish. Right in front is the registers where you order from a menu of fried seafood, sandwiches, lobsters, and pasta. The food coming out of the kitchen looked great although I didn’t try any. I did buy some swordfish, and a great hot pepper sauce, that I was told was made by one of the women there from her own garden. It tasted wonderful and can’t wait to try it on everything from stir fry’s to sandwiches. This place was originally just a fish market and they have expanded and moved and are now a restaurant as well.

My family and I spent a few hours of the nice day at Hampton Beach. We were planning a cookout and decided that we wanted some lobstars to go with our meal. We passed Sea Fresh on busy Rt 1. turned around, and decided to give it a try. Luis, the owner was there and was a huge help in assisting us find the right lobsers for our meal. The market offers all types of LOCAL fresh fish, steamers, lobsters, shrimps, and even rare fish like Maine Halibut. Fair prices here for what you get. Careful in the small parking lot right off very busy Rt 1.
