Being a big fan of «street food» and just good, simple, comfort styled food… I find myself easy to just about venture anywhere to eat. Walking by otherwise going somewhere else… the waifting smell brought me in. Typical hot food buffet I thought until girl behind counter recited the prices as she went down describing the inquiries… perception of value was spot on… and the food was delicious… small tables to sit at while watching socce and listening to spanish conversationsm. Short and sweet… this place lacks on ambiance of the norm… but no frills. Awesome food… great price… tell everyone… this is a true hidden gem

This is a Latin Deli and its awesome. First time in this morning at 6am and they had about 15 Latinos ordering some food before work. Folks they had hot food ready at 6am! They server Pupusas, empanadas, and I even saw fried chicken. I had a breakfast sandwich with re fried beans slapped on both sides of the roll and it came with scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, ham and a side of hot sauce. Now that is breakfast. I also had 2 empanadas and they were very tasty. I came back at 330pm just to grab more food. I had a rice, beans, steak stew, and plantanos. This is not your typical deli, its more like a bodega aka«Latin Deli» They also have many other Latin items you can purchase from bread, to cheese and many more. Its a must try if your into this type of food.

Melrose Deli needs a sprucing up… better lighting… some umph. it is a quiet little deli, ok for a quick no wait breakfast sandwich or something simple to go. Not much fanfare in here but right in the village. Not quaint or old fashioned … just needing some attention. Lol. They are always pleasant and seem to have a customer when I have stopped in. They are a few stores down from a friends office. so it is easy to stroll in.
