Hampton Bays Diner & Restaurant

Thank God this terrible dangerous dump has closed.
Just sorry the the wait staff had to lose their jobs because an AlphaHotel owner was such a dick. Pity I can’t leave zero stars.

Time and time again Im in one of those situations where I have no choice but to come here. Never never have had a pleasurable experience here. The waitresses are quite kind, however.
The waffles are always soggy — burgers from Costco probably. They just seem to have given up. Also way overpriced for Hampton Bays. Princess diner is better priced and that’s in southampton

This is the only place to get food late nights in the Hamptons other than MacDonald’s or Burger King in the summer. The food is absolutely the worst. Cold and tasteless is standard fare here. Service is poor and waitresses just don’t care. I think I’ll opt for Mickey D’s or BK next time… The best thing about this place is Latin Saturdays at the back of the diner. Bring your dancing shoes.

They gave me an orange with my quesadilla. No sour cream or guacamole. A slice of an orange. Enough said.

I come here for 2 reasons:
1) I’m drunk.
2) I’m nursing a hangover.
It’s an average diner with average food and service.
I give only 2 stars because the place is super dirty. I was there on New Year’s Day (see reason #2) and the inner ketchup bottle lid at our table was black. BLACK. I’ve seen dried up, crusty ketchup bottle lids, but never one that was so old that it had turned black. There was also a brown dried up lime wedge stuck in my seat cushion dating back to the Jurassic time period… Maybe Cretaceous… what I’m saying is that it had fucking been there awhile.
Stuff like this seems small, but it bothers the shit outta me. Because if the front of house is filthy, I can only imagine what the back of house looks like.

I guess this is one of the worst diners. Ordered panini several times here and 3 times the order came with missing items. I only come here for breakfast menu which is pretty good. Check your bag before walking out.

Complete Sh** hole don’t waste your time. We stopped there a couple weeks ago and food was terrible. Place run down and dirty. Waitress was nice but that was it. Would never go back. Use to be very good years ago. they must have changed owners or something. All they got going for them is it looks good from outside to fool people. You’ve been warned …

Less than one star! The food was awful and the place was dirty. No matter how hungry you are keep driving! You can get better food from a c-​store.

Location, Location, Location. If they were anywhere but where they are they would be out of business.

Typical diner fare. had a hamburger deluxe which was cooked to order and came with what was almost triple order of fries. My daughter had 2 eggs over with bacon. She must have gotten 6 slices of bacon. I’m not sure what people’s issue is with this place. It’s a diner that serves decent food in huge portions and has a very attentive wait staff. Wish I could give 3.5 stars.

Looks like typical diner menu but place is dirty. Have not been here in years but wont be back.

Cool looking spot. Food is pretty good, with healthy portions. Service is better than you’d typically expect from a Diner, which is nice! We’ve only been there for breakfast, but we intend to try them for dinner at some point. Definitely nice that they’re open 24 hours!

I can’t say much for the food, I only shared scrambled eggs and potatoes with my one year old daughter. What I can say however, is that the staff were friendly, I was given a high chair immediately, my order was taken quickly, the food came out almost immediately, and I was checked on just enough to feel taken care of. If you’re visiting the Hamptons and need a spot for breakfast before the beach, this would be it.

Waiting here for service is wild. It takes soooo long. I ordered a hot tea and it took 7 – 10 min for it to come to the table. It took a good 10 – 15 min for the waitress to Even Come over here as well after being sat. There’s 5 tables in this diner that are sat and two waitresses and 3 hosts. So why is it that it takes so long for service. I’ll tell you lack of respect for having a job and poor training. I’ll tell you what I wouldn’t come here if I wasn’t hungry and it wasn’t the only place in Hampton bay’s open for food. If it wasn’t for my boyfriend and the other weird tables I would have up and left this joint. If your hangry this is the WORST Place to go.

This place was a pretty good diner. Granted I was there before the season started but we had fast, attentive service and the food was fairly well prepared. It won’t win any culinary awards but this is an absolutely not bad diner

Actually not bad, it’s a diner after all, not fine dining. The service is WAY better than the food! Our waitress was very attentive, checking with us several times and made good recommendations. We had Greek Salads and burgers. The burgers were a hit, the salads a miss. Same meal in LA would have cost 3 times as much, so the value is good.
Thank goodness they are open 24 hrs! That alone is worth a star.

What can you say about a Diner… Well this one is your typical Diner, humongous menu options, like 500 items to choose from. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner. After hours are pretty good at this place thats open 24−7−365. Like the pizza burger platter, fresh grilled heel on a nice bun with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese and lots of french fries. All around a good experience.

Breakfast menu is pretty good, wish there was more variety. Burgers are decent, a bit dry so ask for it medium. Portions are huge. Waitress that we got was very attentive and paid attention to everything we asked for. If come back again for breakfast or lunch.

We both ordered the ½ roasted chix. It was previously frozen and 100% gross. Horrible aftertaste.

The lack of customers at 9pm should have been a clue…

I love diners … the older and more chrome the better.
This is a good diner… the décor is not too updated and neither is the not bad food and very good service.
