The Wine Steward was once what I’d consider a 5 star establishment: knowledgable and friendly owner, enthusiastic staff, quality product and an always welcoming atmosphere. The business was sold and the new owners/management team has changed the tone and product offerings. They’ve discontinued carrying wines which were in high demand(you’d buy several bottles any time you saw them in stock) and brought in new selections which have no appeal to me. On the few visits I’ve had with the new owners, I can say the female owner was polite and nice but the male was rude, never greeted me while I was in the store and in his dealings I saw with other customers(inquiring why they were no longer carrying a specific wine) he became outright combative. This can’t be limited to just my experience because it’s not uncommon to hear people in the neighboring businesses share their experiences with him. Hearsay? Sure. But having seen him in action, I’m not surprised. On a good day, I can walk through the door and find familiar faces of people who worked there from the previous owner and have a much better experience(but they still don’t carry favorites I’ve sourced elsewhere.) More often than not, I skip walking in entirely if they’re not there. I don’t need hand holding or direction but I prefer to shop in businesses where I don’t feel like a burden or made to feel like I shouldn’t be there. Why even three stars? Because I’m trying to base my review on it as a complete separate and new business and it’s simply not fair to judge the«new» business compared to the old. It’s like trying to grade a fast food restaurant to the service standards of a Michelin rated one. If I were to grade on that sort of concept, they’d definitely be a 2.

Nice selection of wine and cheese. Had a previous situation that the owner resolved professionally. Will shop here again!

One of the better wine stores in the area. Selection is great. They do carry some pricier wines but they are priced accordingly. There is also a small but very diverse selection of hard to find beers here which they are not known for. Service is good here and they are very knowledgeable about wine. Wine tastings are here a couple times a week and they will sometimes have an expert who can add stories and depth to the scene. Lots of gift items and wine accessories too

Really fabulous & a total gem. One does not really find this quality wine out here in NH on Rt 111. We went for a wine tasting, which from what my neighbor reports, is that they do this weekly. GO! It is worth it! We went on a hot weekday evening, and they had 6 wines, 3 whites, and 3 reds, both were outstanding and def caught my attention. Prices: Moderate to fair. Quality: One will not find other wines of this quality locally. Other mentionable s: Cheese, mico-brews; some whimsy gadgets and sweets. Def worth checking out.

I’m in LOVE! This place is really cool and so is the owner. He is really knowledgeable about wines and has traveled all around the world to pursue his passion. He has wine tastings on specified nights and pairs them with exotic cheeses. On a rare occasion he will have craft beer tastings, which are fun. Its a nice little shop with a lot to choose from. if you’re not a pro, it’s no problem because you can tell him what you DO like and he will find you something yummy. They also keep tabs on what you buy too, so you wont forget! Nice gifts and cool little shop. MELIKEY!

We stopped in here for a wee visit today. It’s a fairly new shop with a classy feel. A beautiful selection of wines, a tasting room(every Thursday and Saturday), classes upcoming and a cabinet with an assortment of fine cigars. Very friendly and helpful staff. We picked up a VCZ Molendores rose wine from Spain. We’ll be back for sure. Intersection of 121 and 111.
