Golden Nails & Tan

I’m really torn reviewing this place. I have been coming here for gel manicures every 2 – 3 weeks for about a year and ½. Their prices are the best in town and the staff are really personable and friendly. The spa pedicure is great (regular one is good too) but recently I have been pretty unhappy with my manicures. I have been cut quite a few times while they have trimmed my cuticles (drawing significant blood and last time caused an infected cuticle) and question the how sanitary the tools they use are (they do have a UV sterilization unit but do not always grab tools from it) since after they cut me and drew blood they put the cuticle cutter back into the same jar without cleaning it. Most recently I requested a specific color (silver) and they gave me gold and when I questioned it I was told «it’s fine, no one knows the difference» except I know the difference and that’s not true — gold and silver look nothing alike. I was also told my nails are too small for a design but the person doing my nails didn’t even try with a small print brush (I don’t have tiny nail beds or bite my nails either, but I do have petite hands. I have never had a problem with designs before and I have seen them do designs on little kid nails with are TINY so I think that was a BS excuse). Recently I have been thinking that I need to find another local nail place, which is unfortunate because their prices are reasonable and the staff really is so friendly and nice.

Nice place, comfortable atmosphere and wonderful staff. This is my go to place. No appointment necessary!
