I would normally give them a 5 star rating but sometimes the sauce out weights the whole meal. We absolutely love this place! Pretty much and every Sunday meal. Husband and childs love the crab cakes, absolute best in Carroll county. I usually get the asparagus app wrapped in porchutto and mozzarella, big enough for a meal. If I’m still hungry then the veal Oscar is my goto. The chicken marshland is great, chicken Chesapeake is unique to them and is very tasty. Their crab dip and pretzel are very good also. Other than the sauce overtaking the meal this is our family goto place for food. Ask for light sauce and 5 stars is the rating!!!

The bar crew was great! Two hours after ordering, we didn’t have our food. I eventually went to the manager about it and complained, saying we probably would never eat there again. He said, since we would never be back, there was nothing he could or would do. I would highly recommend passing this place!

The whole experience was great. Our waiter, Gary, was top notch. The crab cakes are simply the best I’ve had. Pure lump crab with no filler. Just the right amount of space. The guys putting these bad boys together are masters!!! I’ve never had better. The unending salad and breadsticks are always a bonus and the strawberry cheesecake was to die for. My dads chicken Marsala was great too. I honestly have zero complaints. Oh and the kitchen was clean Along with the dining area. Love This place

Excellence! Quality mouth watering food. Great service. Crab cakes are huge with little filler. I had shrimp stuffed with crab Imperial it was fantastic. The bad, trying to pick a dish so many that sound yummy. Great place for a date or get together because they don’t rush you and food is freshly cooked. Waiter Dave was spot on. Will be back many more times for sure

As someone that has lived in Maryland most of their life, I can tell you this is the best crab cake I have ever had. Go try one, you won’t be let down.

We were all very satisfied with the dinner. The salad, bread was better than Olive Garden. The entrees included seafood which I absolutely loved. Just a little heavy on the salad dressing but that can be changed next time. We are definitely coming back.

This place is amazing. I feel that it is slightly overpriced though. The beer selection is not very deep either. I got the veal oscar. It was amazing. If you go with 1 other person and your both drinking(mixed drinks) because of a limited beer menu, plan on dropping 100 $

2 – 3 stars for everything else; The crabcake gives it a fourth star. Light, sweet, not buried in cream or garlic, the crab cake shows a deft touch more than the rest of the mediocre offerings. Canned, machine processed black olives? Really?

I love the atmosphere and variety of options. The is one of the best set down restaurants in Carol County. I love the crab cakes and the chicken Chesapeake they are Maryland staples executed perfectly at Fratelli’s. Great service for pick up or dine in.

I love their food. As a 100% Italian, I enjoy good authentic food. What puzzles me is why they can’t make decent garlic bread? It is a poor excuse for garlic bread. I highly recommend them and the food!

Went to Fratellis Hampstead for the 1st time in Dec 2015 and the food was tasty and the service great. No disappointments but then, had no prior expectations. Will definitely go back and not hesitate to bring family and friends.

The line out the door screamed TRYME and we finally did. I ordered the lasagna and a beer and my wife had the salad. We both had wine and the server at the bar was very attentive. The salad and break before dinner was very good. My lasagna had a very odd cinnamon like taste to that I have never experienced before. I asked the server about it and he said its a Greek thing whatever that means. I think the owners are Greek so maybe that’s what he was referring to. I also purchased a meal to take home for lunch the next day called tour of italy or south italy and it was 3 selections which was really good. The fresh pasta machine is a nice touch as well, desserts looked delicious however very pricey. We will visit again.

Very dissapointed with the way this business owner deals with the community. Not only did they stop Kona Ice from coming to the Celebree day care center on Wednesdays where the children could purchase slushies through the summer, they have also decided not to join in on any of the child related activities. By activities I mean the children go through this strip mall and trick or treat and do special things with each business BUT Fratelli’s. If you can’t support the local children or local businesses then I can’t support you.

Ok — we went back. There are a lot of good, even great reviews, for this restaurant. In Hampstead there are very few restaurants so maybe folks are starved for a sit-down place. This time I didn’t go for Italian, I tried the crab cakes. It is true that there are nice lumps of crab meat and the crab cakes are large — for me it was ruined by the vinegary — mayonaisey taste. The crab cakes at Greenmount Station are smaller but much better. Even the crab cakes at Dean’s were better than this. The french fries were crispy but batter dipped and seasoned which is not a favorite of mine — it did modulate the vinegar taste of the crab. This time the salad was better, crisper and cleaner tasting. The dressing included the favorite overly vinegary flavor. My husband’s meal was huge — a crab cake, chicken breast, pasta, and some sauce. Not wonderful but definitely huge. The cocktails we ordered had odd flavors. My appletini was unlike any I’ve ever had anywhere and that’s not a compliment. My husband’s margarita was also bizarre and not good. On the plus side, they are generous with the alcohol. The wine — Apothetic Red — was very good. Fratelli’s is not stingy when it comes to quantity and obviously people like it. The waiter and other staff were very friendly. The food is just not up to par for me. I have to agree with another review that said even the Olive Garden is better.

Excellent fare! The first thing you notice at this restaurant is the beautiful pasta machine :) They make ALL the pastas and fresh is infinitely better. As if it wasn’t enough, we didn’t order a single item that missed the mark. Everyone was impressed with their own meal AND we tried each other’s meals… not a single bite disappointed. If ANY place claims they have the best crabcakes, don’t agree until you’ve eaten them here. There is NO comparison.(Take me to task on this!) The salad and bread is far beyond other restaurants and the staff was friendly and NOT pushy(bonus!!) We will be back repeatedly.

My fiancé and I frequent Fratelli’s often. The atmosphere is very nice and they always seem to offer great dinner specials. Have never experienced an extended wait time. Usually we are put on a list and go to the bar for a drink and our table is ready before we finish our first drink. Great place for a romantic Italian dinner.

I’ve dined & drank here at least 3 times since my first review, and I do believe Fratelli’s has significantly improved. During my first experience, the staff were wonderful and that has remained consistent. I now have my favorite bartenders and waiters. I’ve also added these appetizers/entrees to my «TRIED» list: Stuffed Portabello, prosciutto wrapped asparagus & Baked Tortellini. All of the above have been absolutely superb, and I’d order all of them again! I have not tried the Shrimp Gypsy dish again, but will someday. I wanted to update my review because even though I stand by every word of my first review when I wrote it, I do believe Fratelli’s deserves the positive update.
