Eat lunch here! We almost didn’t stop due to the reviews of bad and/or slow service, but we are so glad we did! Lunch was delicious, hot caprice panini(added chicken) & Mediterranean chicken wrap, both came with crunchy kettle type chips, fresh greens in full sized Keuka salad. 2 diet cokes. 45 bucks and well worth it! We had a young waiter and he was on top of everything. Never had an empty drink and he checked back often. The only thing my husband and I could figure was if you go during peak dinner hours, we imagine service and food would be slower because they have like 3 patios with large tables plus the inside seating so the place is actually huge. Either way, we would definitely go back!

Great location. Food was decent. Service not so much. Inside or outside seating. Beautiful spot to have a drink. Lots of boat slips so no need to worry about a spot to dock. I had the lobster salad sandwich. It was average and had spicy pickles and green onions. My thought. Why mess with a classic? Keep it simple. My son had wings but said they were sweet not hot. He wasn’t a fan. My sister had the burger and thought it was good. Hubs had some kind of turkey sandwich and said it was average. Regardless that the food was average. The view will bring us back.

We had a great time at Lakeside this evening. What a great location and the food and service were awesome. It is the final night of our family vacation and we couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate!

Love the fact we can drive the boat up, after a little confusion on seating(they put us in a spot that was already reserved for a large party) we moved to a nice wood table, the seats are kinda flimsy but the waitress was good. She was obviously in the weeds but handled it pretty well. I got the shrimp cocktail and it was really nice, then chicken parm that was just okay, not bad but not anything to write home about. The bug situation was pretty bad, I wish they would get some sort of candles or something to help with the nats, makes for a tough time trying to eat at least outside.

The nice view and ambiance on deck overlooking the lake, attentive service, but stay away from the knuckle pastrami sandwich. The moisture from the sauerkraut made the bottom bread slice fall apart thus requiring a fork and knife to eat the remainder of the sandwich. Additionally the heavy application of horseradish overwhelmed the other ingredients, other than the soggy bread.

We normally visit Lakeside between 5 – 10 times durning the summer. It’s a very pretty spot to visit while boating. Yesterday we stopped for just a couple burgers and beers. I am sad to say this was not what I’ve come to expect over the years. It wasn’t busy at all for a holiday weekend. That normally is a sure sign something is up. It took over an hour and a half for the server to bring our food. The order was wrong. She took it back and returned shortly afterwards with cold burgers. When I bit into the roll it just crumbled into pieces. With so few options on the lake we will be back. However they must up their game or it will be changing ownership once again.

Nice place to eat on the west shore. We stopped in during the«tavern menu» interim before dinner. The Lakeside is actually three or more restaurants. There’s inside, outside, and down on the dock with different menu options for each depending on the time of day. Lots of wait staff, but we got seated & forgotten. Could have been the shift change. I understand that this happens. Everyone loved their food, with one slight exception. On the Lakeside’s Facebook page, someone had commented that the wings were«Better than the Anchor Bar.» Whoever that was surely hasn’t even been to Buffalo, much less to the Anchor for wings. My «Buffalo» wings were lightly breaded and had some sauce that tried to improve on straight Frank’s. Maybe how this is the way they make them here, but if you’re from anywhere further west, be forewarned. The wings looked beautifully presented, but just not the way I like them. Staff did a great job and the food was good. Being able to arrive by boat is a plus as 54A makes me more seasick than the water.

As of spring 2014, the Lakeside has a new chef — Mike G. who really knows his stuff! Excellent variety of WELLPREPARED, thoughtful dishes with perfectly balanced flavors. Pay this chef whatever it takes to keep him at the Lakeside– he’s amazing! Also recommended on our visit is Lisa– our wonderful, congenial and accommodating waitress She was very helpful with recommendations and not at all in a rush. There were 4 of us for dinner, each of us had a different entrée and all four dishes were top-notch! Can’t wait to come back again!

Had a perfect night at the Lakeside. On our vacation to Keuka we were doing the yearly trip to another waterfront restaurant on the same side of the lake(HINT) but decided never to go back. Lakeside’s menu is much nicer, and the restaurant overall is nicer. Better decks, better view, better service. One of the best experiences, food and service and atmosphere-wise, we’ve ever had on the lake. Try the pork wings! Name does not do the dish justice.

This may be your best meal in the area. It’s clear the chef of this place is a true, traditionally educated chef, and anyone with any experience as a chef will know instantly. Everything from the honey-poppy butter, to the red onions, to the traditional anchovies in the ceasar salad will tell you this place has quality in the kitchen. Add to that the fact that they use things like Gorgonzola, and other ingredients of quality. As a former chef I am pretty picky about where I eat, and this is one of the places in the area I would recommend to anyone. The Gorgonzola Chicken was excellent, if not remarkable, and the side of perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked summer squash added immense enjoyment to the meal. Do not miss the traditional Caesar salad with anchovies! It’s not often I find the CORRECT Caesar salad prepared for me. Plenty of fresh ground pepper, a perfect ‘light’ dusting of dressing, and clear tones of anchovies, topped by some anchovies as a garnish. This may be the best Caesar salad in the world — I’m not kidding. I wasn’t impressed with the Filet when I tried it, I’d skip it until they get a better quality, more tender cut of meat in. But the chicken and fish all seemed excellent, and perfectly prepared. We found the filet in general to be slightly tough, missing some crucial marbling, and overall not cooked to exacting perfection. The grilling person for the night seemed to miss the all important S&P(salt and pepper) when preparing the filet. Otherwise, the experience from start to finish was excellent.

LOVED this place! We went for lunch and sat outside. I could have spent the whole day there! Food is not fancy but great. I had a fabulous burger. Everyone who worked there was super friendly, helpful and professional.

It’s been here since the 30’s, now with 2 levels inside and several decks around with a nice lake view. Our friend said it was very good the last time, but today, not so good! A bowl of Sausage, White Bean & Kale Soup $ 6. Small bowl, but tasted good. Italian Roast Beef Sand. $ 10. Half of the expected amount of OK beef, low flavor. Jerk Spice Chicken Sand. $ 10 had a good breast piece, but partly blackened. Topped with enough pineapple mango salsa, yet as a whole, had low flavor! Both come with one of 3 sides. Next, Nicoise Salad $ 16, which was topped with a hard slab of gray marinated tuna. Last time for us.

This restaurant is a solid 3 star joint. We recently had celebrated my grandmother’s 90th birthday here and the restaurant was prepared and well equipped to handle our party. Nice views of the lake The waitress was nice, but a 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which I did not like. The calamari here was just spectacular. Very thinly breaded and just excellent. My chicken sandwich was disappointing. It lacked flavor, and I would not order it again. French fries were served hot and fresh. Both of the other meals my mother and grandmother ordered were the prime rib. They both were extremely disappointed. Good food is almost impossible to find in this part of town, but it was sub par, and I paid for my mother, grandmother and myself and the bill skyrocketed to well over 118.00 dollars. Probably would not return.

4 stars because of the lake view, this place is really nicely located on Keuka Lake. The food and service were just okay for us, but for a nice evening on the water it’s a great spot. They do have a variety of seafood and pasta as well as the normal american faire in addition to a small beer/wine list. Surprising because this is wine country!
