Stopped for breakfast for 3 and had a breakfast boat, egg sandwich and an avocado egg sandwich. The food could be a little warmer and the eggs should not be nuked as they come out rubbery. The atmosphere is quaint and they serve finger lakes coffee. Not a great first impression but it was their 4th or 5th day open so we’ll give them another shot!

Because of other reviews, we ordered chicken salad sandwiches. They were delicious and the bread was good! We got some baked goods and they were delicious. Great choice when visiting Hammondsport.

During a vacation on Keuka Lake, we ventured in here at my step-daughter’s recommendation and ordered two loaves of GF sandwich bread. They called us the next day when it was ready, and even though it’s a bit pricey at $ 7.50 a loaf, it was soooo delicious, and had a yeasted look and taste to it. It far surpassed any frozen GF bread we’ve purchased in the 3 years we’ve been keeping our diet GF. Decided to slice up the second loaf and freeze, but hub and I tore through loaf one in just a couple of days. And we’re not big into sandwiches, just love having good bread when we do. So we were making any excuse to eat that bread! They had a good selection in the store of GF goodies and regular goodies all reasonably priced for the area(ie vacation area, tourist, seasonal). Go support this lovely shop!

What a super cute stop on a day of wine tasting. We came here for a quick lunch while making the turn around the bottom of Keuka Lake and we are really glad that we did. The pastries all looked incredible and I really wanted to purchase all of them, but the large ground of cyclists reminded my subconscious that I probably shouldn’t eat that many carbs in one sitting. We settled on a chocolate chip cookie to go with our two sandwiches. The cookie was awesome, we couldn’t wait for our sandwiches to be made to finish eating it — perfectly chewy in the middle. The sandwiches were also both quite tasty, fresh made on house-made bread(so good that we brought a loaf home for dinner that night — the bread was equally good with home cooking). The only major issue was that service took forever, though we were there at around 1:30 and the aforementioned large group of cyclists had just come in before us. I don’t doubt that the rapidity of sandwich creation would be increased on a repeat visit.

For the first time I tried one of their sandwiches I decided on the chicken salad on whole wheat. Wow talk about great flavor I loved the grapes in the chicken salad it gave it a sweet flavor. I’m not an expert on bread but this was some of the best I ever had on a sandwich. You can tell it was made in house. If you are in the area you have to give this place a try!

My favorite places to eat in Hammondsport turned out to be the cafés! The croissants here are amazing! We tried the regular and chocolate. Exactly how you want a croissant to taste — fresh, flaky, buttery — and that’s not easy to come by. I live in Colorado and I’m dreaming of the croissants in Hammondsport. Ginger cookie and carrot cake cupcake were great too. I even bought some whole bean coffee to take home. This place is a gem. Wish we had one in Evergreen.

This place, omg. Yes! I came here Monday July 20 with my Dad and sister. We all ordered the veggie sandwich and some organic black tea. I make my bread fresh regularly, so I can be a bit picky about having fresh ingredients.(As I should be) This was the best sandwich of my life. I will be dreaming about it until next summer when I return. The bread was unbelievable. Peppers, onion, lettuce, avocado, tomato. It was beautiful, haha. The service was great, the place is quaint and clean and the food is amazing. Check it out if you are looking for something fresh and local!

The good folks at Keuka Artisan Bakery came to the rescue midway through our wine-tasting spree on Keuka lake last Monday. We got to Hammondsport when everything was closed, and even though the bakery was also closed(taking a two week vacation starting the day before Easter), they opened up shop and sent us happily on our way with a gigantic batard(think very, very chubby baguette) and something I’ve never had before: «spent grain» bread. I never knew reduce/reuse/recycle could be delicious, but I’m officially addicted to this stuff. It’s made from grain leftover from a brewing or distilling process.(I confess, I’d been wine«tasting» at a pretty good clip, so the exact provenance of the grain escapes me…) But the bread! It’s great plain, but toast it and slather on a bit of salted butter, and it’s outrageous. It’s got that salty-sweet-umami thing going on. Yep, in BREAD. You have to try this stuff. (Don’t rush out today – they’re taking a little break. Check them out in a couple weeks. Take your tax refund. Buy a ton!)

Delicious breakfast sandwich on Sunday; had to go back Thursday. We come to Hammondsport every year for vacation. Sad I will have to wait a whole year to have another one. Mine were on croissant; boyfriend’s were on bagel. Both were huge and amazing. Sampled a variety of their gluten-free cookies as well. Stop in if you’re close by. People are very friendly and the place is really cute. Locally roasted coffee as well as lots of local artisans’ pottery being sold inside. Just a great experience.

Daily fresh baked pastries, bread, muffins, cookies, etc. And all delicious. We went here for lunch. I got the beef on weck(where else can you get that?) Warm and delicious with horseradish if desired. My wife had the Turkey special and really liked it. It was cool that she kept a water cooler filled in the dining area for any one to help themselves for free. Ended up taking a big box of the pastries and cookies for the long ride home. Just delicious. Organic and/or gluten free options are also available

This is a sweet place — brightly decorated and staffed with very friendly people. We came for lunch and I loved my sandwich which I can best describe as «summer in a sandwich» with a 2:1 vegetable to meat ratio on home baked bread(turkey/goat cheese/sweet pepper, cucumbers, tomato). My husband had beef on a weck and was equally tasty. It’s a lovely place to dine. We came back after attending the Art Show in the Square for some gelato. They did not disappoint! I had the chocolate gelato and my husband had the pistachio gelato. They have the biggest variety of gelato I’ve ever seen! They had a array of breads and cookies too but we were too stuffed to consider more. Very nice people. Very nice place.

Baguette? Yes! Close your eyes and imagine you are in Paris. The baguettes are just that good! Everyone very friend, y, helpful and willing to exceed your expectations! Bummer that they are closed a few days during the week, though.

One of the best blueberry muffins I’ve had came accompanied by one of the worst blueberry smoothies I’ve had. Must life be a zero-sum game?

Cute setting, with the little patio area surrounded by sunflowers and tomatoes. We went there to get bread for the evening’s dinner, and picked up a roll for our kids to share. The woman behind the counter was all smiles, offered to warm it up, butter it, and cut it in half. Perfect! We could tell she really cared about the business, with the punch card, and the other information she gave us. The bread was great too.
