We made reservations for three on a Tuesday evening. The setting is nice, service was good and most importantly, the food was great. My husband and son each had a steak and they enjoyed their meal with no complaint. I ordered a salad with beef on the side (it was huge so I was able to share). The restaurant offers beef by the ounce and that is a wonderful option. I was able to order 4 ounces (no waste)! The steaks seemed to be cooked perfectly as was mine even though mine was so small. We also started with stuffed mushrooms. They were done in a purist style, great mushroom taste and hot from the oven topped with contrasting cool, sweet crab. Really delicious. This place pays respect to the beef with care and cooking. We would definitely return but we do not eat out a lot and this meal was for a celebratory reason.

I have been here many times, every time is just as good or better than the last. I have had almost everything on the menu and it’s all been great. The steaks are always cooked perfectly. The service is spot on. I really like the atmosphere very inviting and cozy. My favorite spot in Hammond.

Well — I was a bit skeptical at first, but this place is definitely a hidden gem!!! I love that its laid back with that cool charm, great service and good food! Steaks and seafood — how you like them! It just does not get any better than this! Order as much of a steak as you would like, how you like it done and its that! This definitely gets a WHO DAT! Enjoyed a great steak and service here Friday night. My husband and I were out to celebrate our 22^nd anniversary and decided to try The Steak House. We arrived and did not have reservations… and they were so busy we would have an hour wait. We had plans to see a show at 7:30 so we had to leave. As we were walking away outside the hostess came running out and called to us to come back. A table was now available. WOW! WHAT SERVICE!!! Next time we will make reservations.

The best steak restaurant in Hammond. Amazing steak! Romantic atmosphere. Just make sure to make a reservation.

Been there a few times. The steaks are good but the waitresses are rude and its virtually impossible to get a refill of drink… There’s no checking on you once you order.
Making reservations does no good because they still make you wait. Once I had reservations and was made to wait standing by the door with an empty table beside me. Stood there five minutes and a waitress rudely told me «just sit there.» Ridiculous.

This place is wonderful and the steaks are to die for. You can have them cooked however you want and have the size customed to your needs.

My boyfriend and I went to this restaraunt for the first time last night and let me tell you everything was superb! The atmosphere, the food and the drinks where perfect. This is a great place for late twenty’s + to enjoy. You will have a low lit and candle light dinner. You may think the prices are a little on the high side however, every single dish has amazing season and portion size. It is we’ll worth it!

The steaks are cooked exactly as we requested every time. I love the fact that this place offers three basic cuts of steaks by the ounce. You are not pressured to order a preset size like mostplaces. The appetizers portions are decent, and their soups are good. The mac and cheese is amazing!
I consider the atmosphere to be cozy and intimate, but it can get a bit loud when there are large, noisy groups present. I still give this place 5 stars because I think it’s more on the fault of the group (s) who don’t know how to lower their voices. The design of the space is a bit more narrow than most, but for the most part, it works.

The food was excellent and so was the service!.. will definitely go back… It was a little on pricey side but worth it. The place is very small so it’s better to make a reservation. They do take walk in‘s though.

Perfect as usual!!! Always so nice to see the girls! Tried the lemonade drink, love it!!! This will always be our steak place to go to in the Hammond area.

Great steaks and sides and friendly service. We eat here whenver we are in Hammond. We have been to other restaurants in the area and The Steakhouse is definitely the best.

This place has always been on my list to try, and I finally got around to it! We ordered the Filet Cheesesteak egg rolls for the appetizer, corn and crab bisque and portobello mushroom soup with our entrees — Double cut Bone-​in Pork Chop and a 6 oz Rib eye. We also got a side of Macaroni and Cheese. Everything was super delicious! The appetizer was a nice twist on the usual Philly, and the steak and pork chop was super juicy and tasty. Both soups were good. The Mac and cheese, or as my bf likes to call it — Crack and Cheese– was pretty good too. Really nice balance of cheesy and creamy. I would definitely come again.

Without question the best steak restaurant I’ve ever been to! I’m willing to bet it’s the best steak you can get in this entire state or further. The ambiance is so cozy with soft lighting and awesome louisiana jazz music and art. The service is amazing. But above all, the food is absolutely TO DIE FOR. Aside from the incredible filet mignon, don’t miss the crab stuffed mushrooms and chili glazed shrimp for appetizers, the steamed broccoli and the Mac and cheese for sides. I can’t say it enough, this is the best restaurant in town and one of the best steaks you’ll ever eat!!!

Best steaks ever!!! Great service, too. Beautiful ambience… The portabella mushroom soup is a must have!!! Great place to bring your significant other!
