if you love a completely crazy old man sitting at the front door of a liqour shop ranting and raving, then come on in.
the booze selection is plentiful and cheap. everytime me and the bf go to chicago from michigan we stop here to fill up on the necessary libations. the prices are amazing compared to michigan. last time i got a ½ gallon of three olives for 16 bucks. its just so cheap. although cheap, they also carry a very large assortment of liquors. i have found some interesting sale items each time. last visit i got 22oz sam adams gingerbread stouts on sale.
its not a great neighborhood, but its safe. anyone traveling near should stop by to stock the bar.

If you’re in need for really cold beer, Nick’s Liquors has the coldest. They have a huge selection of beer, wine and liquor that they will surely have what you’re looking for, if not, put in a request and they’ll get it.
Prices are reasonable and everything is easy to find.

My neighborhood LS of choice. Good selection, reasonably priced & a courteous (sometimes funny) staff. Weak point is the wine section but I give them a pass since they carry 3 Floyds beers.

Been a regular customer here for 20 or more years. They have great prices. Just bought an 18 pack of MGD Cans and 18 pack of Coors light cans for 7.99 each. I know its cans but hey for that price and the recession we’re in, I don’t give a hoot cause I was gonna buy some cheap 30 pack can of miller high life lite cans anyways. Good prices on the hard stuff too and the beers are always pretty cold. He even has contests sometimes where you fill out slips with your name and number and put in a jug and you could win a trip, kool stuff like a Bike, portable grills and other stuff. Grant it that they have logos like Miller on Bud or whatever sponsor is giving it to him to promote, but who cares right? I actually won a nice rod and reel sponsored by Dorel cigarretes and it had Dorell logos on it but it worked great!

This Nick’s isn’t bad at all. They have a decent selection, and mostly friendly workers. The beer is cold, and they have a decent amount of wine.
