Had a gift card for $ 25 that they said they take. Then I get up there and the guy says that I have 2 pay a certain amount. I said NO this is not discount card, but a gift card. He still insisted that I pay a certain fee. He should not have had the girl tell me on the phone that u accept gift card then u don’t. IDIOTIDIOT

After trying the place next door Taco Rio had to try this place. A place with pizza and tacos. They seem to do a lot of delivery’s also. Ordered a chicken torta. They gave me chips, fresh salsa and two types of hot sauces. Took a few but torta was good. and fresh. Fresh food takes time to prepare and cook people. Want it next minute go to Mc Donald’s and get your microwaved burgers. Me I am willing to wait for fresh hot food. Was wrapped in paper, so it didn’t fall apart well eating. Even gave me more sauces to try. Very friendly. Prices reasonable and food was good. Lot better then the dimly lit place next door.

I went in and there was no one in the restaurant eating or waiting to eat. The place was empty so I thought oh great I will get my food fast, NOT! I waited a couple minutes for someone to notice I was there and take my order. I asked if they sell pizza by the slice and they did. I ordered one slice, ONESLICE of pizza and cheese fries. It took 25 minutes to get my food! Are you serious? For one slice of pizza and cheese fries. OK fine, I left and started to eat it at home. The sauce was very bland and the dough was not cooked all the way. I was barely able to just eat the toppings. And my cheese fries? The cheese was so watered down it also had no cheesy taste and it was so runny it didn’t stay on the fries. The only good thing I can say is the slice of the pizza, it was huge! But what good is a huge slice of pizza if it isn’t edible? Maybe they should stick to making Mexican food because their pizza was not good at all.

I have ordered from here three times(big orders for 8 people), very good. The pizza has great cheese and the sausage is very good… just a little more sauce on the pie and its right on! They just can’t make up their ming on how they want to cut it. New York style or Chicago. The burritos are HUGE and the steak is great, little beans and rice, very good. I will say every place makes guacamole different, but unless you like filler like onion and tomato… I like lots of avocado, I’d say they’re a little cheap on that, but the food is good. We have ordered tacos, burritos, pizza, and a few cheese burgers… delivery is fast and the food is hot and awesome for late night eating during the game. The price is perfect for Friday and Saturday night ordering, not expensive and a lot of food. Be careful if you like it hot, because dam they can burn your mouth off.

Service was very poor and slow, almost to the point where we thought they had forgotten about us, and there weren’t many people there to begin with. This should’ve been a sign I should’ve picked up on, few customers in a restaurant means, especially with no cops stopping in to get some grub, that the place must not be on point with its food & service. So, it took a very long time to get our food and when we did get our food, what a complete disappointment. The guacamole should really be called something else like onionmole or cebollamole instead because it had more of that in the mix than the actual green stuff itself. Besides being full of onions the guacamole had a very strange after taste that was not tasty at all and for the life of me, it’s hard to describe or it just could’ve been the overpowering flavor of the onion itself. The tostada and the taco I had almost tasted old and the refried beans were sour. The flavor of the food in general tasted like it had been cooked in old grease or cooking oil. The Mexican rice was decent, but that was about it. I was only able to take a few bites of the food before I started to get complete turned off. I did not finish the meal at all and I certainly didn’t plan on bringing the leftovers home in a doggy bag, what for? Usually it’s the little hole in the wall places that catch me by complete surprise, this place is definitely not a region secret spot of good food. I would rather have gone to that famous fast food chain place around the block a few turns on Calumet Ave. than to have gone here, but hey, at least I tried, and now I know.
