Wing Eyecare

Dr Winterbottom has helped save my vision. I went into this office on December 18 around 5pm. By 6pm, I was waiting on a surgeon from Fairfield to come look at my eye.
I had a detached retina and needed surgery. It was all incredibly overwhelming and scary. The Dr. explained everything to me, in detail, He answered my questions and showed me the pictures and scans he had taken of my eye. When the surgeon arrived, he did more of the same — and explained every little detail.
I had surgery the next day at the hand of Dr Haroon Chaudhry from Apex Eye. He was brilliant.
I’m 6 weeks post-​op now and I went back to Wing for a new pair of glasses. My Rx is now way stronger than before (and it was –8).
The exam was long. He stayed with me for over an hour making sure he had it down exactly right. It was super complicated and had to be precise. He came up with a Rx he thought would work best and I went to pick out frames.
He honored a BOGO deal for me since I had been in back in December. I was grateful for that because my lenses and frames were nearly $ 600. I almost cried. Luckily, I also got Rx sunglasses for free as well.
I picked my glasses up yesterday and they are great. My vision is distorted from the surgery but overall, everything is clear and I like the frames.
I’m in for a really long road to something like normal when it comes to my eyes. I loo forward to dealing with Wing again. The entire staff is welcoming and friendly and helpful.
