Dr Medwid is the PCP for both my boys, ages 1.5 and 3. He is easy going but errs on the conservative side with referrals for anything that I am concerned about. His nurse practitioners and PA are great. They always return calls when I have a question and always see us same day, sometimes within a few hours if needed. One of his NPs even called me from home on her day off because she knew I was anxious about receiving some test results. I also never have to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room which is important with little kids.

After waiting almost 3 months for my appointment i just received a phonecall saying that the appointment needed to be rescheduled – no apologies – just that it needed to be rescheduled. And the next available appointment is in December. When i asked if it seemed unfair that i had to wait months for my appointment and then over a month for the next appointment – i get the response«i don’t know what to tell you, i can get you in with a nurse practitioner, i’m only here once a week.» When waiting almost 3 months to see a doctor – would i want to wait a couple more weeks just to see someone else? Do you still want to take the appointment was the only thing she could say. After i responded, «Sure, why don’t you put me down for that day, just in case i don’t change doctor’s in the meantime.» Again, same type of response. i asked if it even phased her that i just said i’d be looking for another doctor and all she did was confirm the appointment. While i’ve had experiences here that have been less than attentive and not really to my liking – i don’t really ask for much – but this was disappointing. Thank you Unilocal,i just signed up for an account because i was so let down in this experience that i had to go online and let people know about it. For the price you pay for healthcare it’s shameful that patients should have to feel this way.
