I first went there when they had just opened. Love variety of wine, well it is a wine bar !!! Good food but portions very small. But very good. Good place for a group get-together. Will go back sometime soon!

WG is always on point with their wine selection. There are many times I find myself wanting to surprise my wife with her favorite wine on my way home from work or to celebrate an occasion. The staff there is always extremely attentive and friendly as soon as you walk in the door. My most recent trip there was a birthday dinner for my good friend’s wife. This was my first time having dinner there and honestly, it was delicious! For the quality and quantity of the food they bring out the prices were very reasonable. So if you’re looking for a good date spot, or just wanting to grab a drink after work, I’d definitely recommend WG.

My two friends and I went and decided to just order appetizers instead of dinner because there were a few we all wanted to try. We had the meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, steak bruschetta and the beer cheese with pretzels. The meatballs were my favorite. All the others were fine but didn’t really stand out to me. We also ordered dessert. I got the molten lava cake which was really good. The service was good. No issues there. What did bother me was that it was really loud in there. Hard to hear the conversation at my table. Other than that I thought it was a nice place. I’d like to go back and order dinner next time.

This is one of my favorite local places to grab some wine and relax. They have a very good selection of wine at retail prices and they charge a modest corkage fee of $ 10 if you want to enjoy it there. I have never had a bad meal here either. I love their chicken marsala so much that they gave me the recipe. They have a great cheese plate, bruschetta, and other appetizers. The food is really and good. I really like the atmosphere of WG. Its very comfortable, clean, and always fun. I typically go to the Rookwood location but I am glad I got to check this one out. It’s closer for us and parking is a lot easier.

I was planning a work dinner for 65 people. The management was incredible to work with. We were able to create a limited menu to keep our costs down and everyone did an amazing job. The food was beyond delicious! So good that several of us went the next day to try other things on the menu. Amazing! I would definitely recommend it for a small dinner or for a large group function.

I visited WG Kitchen and Bistro last night with a friend around 6:30PM. The place was nearly empty(though parking in Rookwood is always a pain), so we were seated quickly and attentively served throughout the night. I had a buy one-get one free entrée from the Entertainment Book, so that was why we ended up dining here. Their wine is top notch. I love opportunities to try to learn more about wine, so I got the red wine flight(four wines, about 1.6 ounces of each). I typically prefer sweet white wines, so this was a step in a new direction and it did not disappoint. Each wine I tried was unique in their own way, but not too overpowering or dry. If you are looking to try new wines, or just expand your preferences, WG Kitchen and Bar has a wide variety of flights and options to help you! You get to keep the wine menu while enjoying the flights and everything is labeled so you can read up on your favorite. For food, I was disappointed. I ordered the Chef’s Risotto, which our server described as a vegetable risotto with squash, zucchini, onion, carrots, and plum tomatoes. It ended up being 90% cheese risotto with small slivers of each of the vegetables. I felt like I was just eating an adult mac and cheese and ended up not finishing the meal. Their menu is small, but there was a few other options I was considering(the steak salad or lump crab cakes) that looked appealing. I believe I will be back again(without a doubt for the wine) but also to give the food a second chance.

Wine Guy has a great happy hour & delish side items. It is the only restaurant of its kind in this area. It has A comfortable dining and bar area in the interior over all is well kept and pretty, it is definitely more of an upscale restaurant for this area. The service is very good in the happy hour prices for drinks are pretty good. The specials are always unique and the risotto is excellent. Even the Sunday brunch, which has a very limited menu, is excellent. It is the only restaurant where I will eat meatloaf and not feel like I am being punished. The spicy shrimp pasta is very good as are there tuna dishes

We’ve been here twice and let me just say this. Their menu is tiny! I’m not a fan of the 3 page menu either but if you’re looking for just a couple of options, this is not the place to go. We brought friends with us and my buddy ordered a burger and they don’t even have fries. Yes, I know, typical american me but what if we brought kids, no fries??? This is not my greatest complaint bc personally I like food to be on the higher end so we ordered a pork tenderloin with some sort of peach sauce and a napa valley chicken meal with some roasted potatoes. The pork was tasty and so was the chicken but rest was just ok. We kind of felt that we were settling for something we knew we would like INSTEAD of wanting to try something new. Their wine is pricey. I would say if you want a good restaurant that compares to this place check out Stonecreek over in West Chester.

Amateur Hour. My wife and I went here for a rare night out without the kids– what a waste. We were served iced tea with a fly in it(the server joked it was«flyced-tea»), they were out of several items we wanted, our appetizer came out wrong(why don’t servers write down orders???), our server was less than attentive and our check was wrong. Stay away, there are too many great options out there.

Wow! Made a reservation for 49 at 1 pm and WG knocked it out of the park. My daughters Lacrosse team and parents descended on WG at 5:30 and not only was the device 5 star the food was 5 star. …and the bills were absolutely perfect. Matt and his team did an awesome job. The Hangar Steak was the best I have ever had and it’s not unfamiliar to me.

Not impressed at all. I had the driest, worst tasting burger I’ve ever experienced. The best part of the meal was the pita bread and even that was a struggle for out waitress to bring. Overpriced and definitely not going back.

I thoroughly enjoyed the WG Kitchen and Bar while in Ohio visiting friends and family. I showed up to the restaurant with a party of 6 adults. We had made reservations ahead of time so our table was ready as soon as we arrived. I found their menu selections to be varied and priced right. They also have a very good wine selection as well. My scorecard for the night: Service-very attentive and courteous staff Ambiance– busy, high energy noisy but fun Food-Excellent Wine-Great selection I recommend WG Kitchen and Bar as a must try!

Very disappointing. When we came in for happy hour there where no tables and we were unable to enjoy happy hour in the dining area. The lamb chops were very fatty and the risotto and shrimp were under seasoned. Way too much money for a poor meal.

I am updating my review based on recent experiences. There seems to be a change in the management and food prep. I have frequented their happy hour with colleagues but recently received such poor service I don’t plan to return. Our server was not attentive and we actually chased him down to order food and also pay our bills. The food was mediocre and the limited veg options need to be updated. Wine bars and kitchens are becoming a dime a dozen so I hope they work to stay competitive.

I had heard many good things about WG, and delayed my visit here for unknown reasons. I guess I expected it to be just another mediocre chain restaurant. but I was highly satisfied! I went here with my sister for brunch on Easter Sunday and we were seated right away. I ordered a peach bellini and it was very delicious and not too sweet, which they sometimes tend to be. I tried my sister’s Bloody Mary and it was also great! I usually am not a fan of them, but it had a nice smokey flavor and was served with a speared pickle and a slice of bacon in it… yum! They also served on the house warm pita bread with homemade sun dried tomato hummous, which was very tastey. They had a special Easter brunch menu for that morning, so I jumped ahead to that for my order. I got the poached eggs with filet medallions, served with red potatoes and hollandaise and a side of fresh fruit. and Oh. Em. Gee. those filets were cooked to perfection and needed barey any chewing. It was also the perfect portion. It was the best brunch plate I had had in a very long time! What I liked most about this place was how much quality their food has for the moderately low price you pay. And lastly, I have to place emphasis on their service here. Every single member of their staff greeted us with smiles and our waiter was extremely sweet and ensured we were enjoying everything and gave us the best recommendations. I cannot wait to come back and try their small plate/dinner options!

One of our favorites for happy hour! They have recently added bourbon flights, which are an interesting touch. We have yet to have anything bad on the menu. I personal love the gourmet burger.

An absolute treat finding this place! Food was amazing, I had the chicken sandwich and he had the farm burger. The WG side salad was a very large portion and very fresh. They have bourbon flights, wine and lots of local brews, I had«the bourbon trail» flight. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, I’ll be back!

We came in because of a Groupon we purchased. This place was very pretty with an urban open air feel. The prices are very reasonable and they even offer tasting or tapas portions of some of their entrées. There are a lot of flights to choose from with great descriptions to help make choosing easier. It’s a great date spot.
