I moved across the country and still wait to come here when I’m visiting family. Robert is the best!

Jackie is a BUTCHER! My hair was all one length and it took a year to grow it that way, which I shared. I said I DID NOT want my face framed, I did not want it cut under my chin, I used my hands to motion under my chin; because it made my already thin hair look much more thin. I wanted it basically the one long length with long layers at the end so the ends had some volume. I now have layers that end just under my chin, I was SO UPSET, Jackie’s response was that it should be that way because otherwise it is to heavy and it pulls on it. I told her she did not have to live with it. She started drying it really fast and pulling on it with her brush. She told me I was not clear; REALLY? The rep that checked me out told me not to worry because it will be longer when the curl comes out; it wasn’t curled, that is just what it does which is why I didn’t want it cut that way. I was treated so poorly, I should not have even had to pay for this cut, the staff should be ashamed for the way they treat folks. My hair is so short in the front I can no longer do a ponytail or have the up do that I planned for the holiday party I am attending. It is in my mouth all the time, stuck to my face and if I bend down it just covers my face because it’s no longer long enough for my shoulders to hold it back. Now the length is mostly behind my shoulders so I look like I have straggly short hair that comes just past under my chin, the rest of it is behind my back, I can’t believe a stylist would not realize that. It is going to take SO LONG to recover from this, save yourself and don’t let Jackie touch a hair on your head!

Came in today as a walk-​in to get a haircut fixed that I received from another shop in Hamilton.
Annie was really nice, and fixed my hair in a matter of minutes, I’ll be returning back for my next haircut!
Nice looking shop, friendly staff, and very professional.

Not a place for walk-​ins. Waited 30 minutes and finally left.
I’ve gone back a about a half dozen times since (I made appointments those times) and have had good haircuts. It’s strange that price is different every time I get a haircut here… Especially considering that the same woman cut my hair on multiple occasions.

Propaganda Salon and Barber feels like home to me. That is because my husband and I have been going to our hairdresser/​barber Robert for almost 30 years, and followed him to this salon. The atmosphere feels more like a visit to a nice multi generation family than an impersonal place of business. While Propaganda does have older stylists and their regulars, the owner Annie and others are young, as are their clients. So this salon caters to all ages of men and women. I see younger women getting highlights and other special treatments, and they all leave very happy with the results. I have been there when wedding parties are being readied for the big day, and when little girls are having their hair done for First Holy Communion. Men of all ages are also regular customers.
The environment is, clean, simple, and modern, but at the same time warm, comfortable and relaxing. Everybody who works at Propaganda is welcoming and friendly. Even when they are busy they make an effort to accommodate walk in customers. The stylists take the time to talk to each customer about what they want. Nobody ever feels rushed. The staff is down to earth and unpretentious, but also very knowledgeable, experienced and professional. I always look forward to my next visit!

Just wanted everyone know that the owner, Annie, gives the best haircuts ever! I had 4 people at high end salons in Philly cut my hair and none of them compare to her. When she cuts my hair it is so easy to style and it holds a curl for 2 – 3 days!!! I’m never letting anyone else do my hair. She had also given me the best ombré in the past. I will continue to drive 50 mins to see her!!! Also she is so sweet! Best salon in the area by far!!!

AMAZING!!! This is by far the best salon around. The owner, Annie, has truly mixed a home town salon and barber with experience from NYC fashion week (which she has worked many times). Always friendly, very good prices and a nice atmosphere to get your salon needs taken care of. They will NEVER pressure you into getting anything you don’t want or need, but always look to make you feel your best! Can’t wait to go back here… it’s the best kept secret in hamilton!!!
