So there I was, sitting in a parking lot on Fort Benning waiting on a friend of mine to arrive so we could do lunch. As I was listening to the radio, a loud«wham» came from out of nowhere. Startled, I looked around to see if I could figure out what caused the noise. To my dismay, there was no immediate evidence to be found, other than the fact something hit my car. At this point, my mind was racing at a 100mph, constructing the worst possible scenario. Tie that in with the fact that I’m somewhat of a perfectionist, so you know I was already past the phase of accepting what catastrophe lied ahead. As soon as I exited my vehicle, I began my walk around the vehicle to gather whatever evidence I could find. It wasn’t too long before I discovered a branch on the ground, that was about 2 feet long, in the area in which the sound originated from. I immediately began scanning that side of my car for damage. Well, my suspicions were confirmed, there was a nice little ding on the side panel. Thankfully, it wasn’t too noticeable but it was definitely there. So the next day I decided to search around on the net to see if there were any reputable businesses in the Columbus area that could remove the ding utilizing the paintless removal process. I believe 3 or 4 results came back, so I decided to start with the first and work my way down on the list in obtaining estimates. I checked out the website of the first result, which was nicely done mind you, as well as their Facebook page. Impressed, I went on ahead and sent a few pictures of the ding as well as an old one that I had. The owner emailed back and asked me to come in to get an official estimate. Let’s just say that the estimate I received was much higher than what I expected. Next up on the list, PDR by Eddie. The website was modest, nothing fancy, with several albums of the work he has done in the past. Confession: I have a bad habit of measuring a business on how well their website is constructed. I know, bad habit, trying to break it and I think I will after my experience with this one, so please read on. I don’t know about you, but I always read the«about us» section when scoping out a business. To me, I think this section is very important when trying to earn a customers business. This is the owners moment to come out and explain what he/she does, how long they’ve been doing it and why you should choose them. After reading the section, I had a really good feeling that this guy was legit and that he’d ultimately be the one to perform the repair. You see, with the previous business, it had a few employees on site to perform the repair, but with this one, there was just one, Eddie, who also happens to be the owner. So long story short, I sent a few pics via text, and surprisingly, he responded less than 3 minutes with an estimate. Boom, it was that easy. And oh by the way, it was significantly cheaper than what the previous business had offered. I immediately agreed to the estimate and set the appointment time to meet him. We met, shook hands, I showed him the dents, he explained to me the process and then got to work immediately thereafter. And let me tell you, Eddie is courteous, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. It took Eddie no more than 30 minutes to get the job done. After he was done, he showed me the area of where the dings once were. To my amazement, they were gone. No trace. Pristine. Unbelievable. What else can I say, Eddie definitely exceeded my expectations. So, that said, if you have a few dings or dents that you’d like to get repaired, I highly recommend that you start with Eddie first. I’m very confident that he will take care of you just as he did with me.
