I graduated Colgate in 2002, and still make it back from time to time. «Slices» is my go to stop before heading back home. For a buck fifty a slice, you can’t beat it. Quick, cheap and flavorful. A Hamilton mainstay.

Definitely the best pizza in town. And the people who work there are kind, patient, and helpful. A total staple of Hamilton.

Average cheese pizza, but $ 1.50/slice and $ 1 soda cans. You can’t beat it– especially wait for clothes to dry at the laundromat.

The absolute best. You do not come to Hamilton without getting a late night slice at slices with ranch. Remember, slices come plain only!

This place gets 5*s for being an institution for Colgate students. I am a 2014 graduate and when I returned for homecoming weekend, I was ecstatic to reunite with slices(in addition to my old friends too, obviously: p). I personally think slices are just as good sober as they are while intoxicated, and have ordered them during late night study sessions, to provide lunch for my COVE club, and just because they are cheap and I didn’t feel like cooking that night. When I came to Colgate, I discovered that pizza dipped in ranch is surprisingly delicious, thanks to slices. You will always have a special place in my heart :)

New York Pizzeria(aka Slices) is the best in Hamilton. Great pizza. Love how it’s open late– nothing complements a night of partying quite like a slice. Or four. Try dipping them in ranch. Sounds weird but it’s amazingly wonderful. The staff is friendly too. Great job guys.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The atmosphere is not the point(there isn’t any, unless ‘drunk people’ count as accessories, but I’ve never seen them sold at CB2), the food is. Also, the wings are very, very good. Getting pizza and wings from this place is a tradition for some of us, and it’s a good one.

I grew up in Hamilton and am addicted to this Pizza. When I’m home and they are open(which is often not the case as they take off a lot during holidays and such), I’m able to plow through half of a large pizza myself — it’s so good. A pizza is really just a crust, a red sauce, and cheese — if you get those three right, your have yourself a fine pizza. Most places mess up at least one of those three. The New York Pizzeria aces all three.

Hands down the best pizza in Hamilton. I eat this drunk, sober, anywhere in between. Whenever I’ve craving NY style pizza(which is quite often now since I’ve moved out of NY) — this is the epitome of what I’m wanting. Fast, cheap and so so yummy!!!

Great pizza, great prices, great people. Any time I’m in the area, I grab a few slices. I love to get slices at Slices… and remember, «slices come plain only»! Excellent.

Slices(The real name) is a decent pizza spot in Hamilton. The best thing is they stay open late, and if you really some entertainment, camp out around 12:30 on any thursday, friday or saturday night and watch as wild college students flood the premises. The slices are only $ 1.50 and pies are cheap as well. They deliver, also a nice convenience. In my opinion, it’s the perfect college pizza spot. Their best topping is nothing, just order cheese. Ranch is good too for dipping if you really want to put the calorie meter off the charts.

I have to confess that I haven’t had it when I’m drunk, and I haven’t had any other pizza in Hamilton, so maybe my review should be taken with a grain of salt. We walked in and ordered a medium pizza with a bunch of toppings, and got it remarkably quickly(just under the 15 min projected time) It wasn’t terrible, but it did fail to live up to expectations in several key respects: — Sort of anemic/underdone in the middle(quite floppy and soft) — Possibly related to this, the sauce was watery, since it was more like chunks of tomato than a sauce. That could actually be a positive attribute(instead of that overly sweet sauce like tomato paste that so many places seem to use) But it made the pizza too watery, and thus harder to eat and blander — On the bright side, it wasn’t overly oily or greasy, and they were generous with the anchovies. They also have RC cola. Overall, I’d probably rate it in that category of «pizza I’d reluctantly eat if it was at some function I’m attending, but wouldn’t go out of the way for». It could be that we caught them on an off night, but I’m not rushing back to find out…

My husband grew up in this part of the world and raves that this is the«best pizza EVER!». We have lived in several different states and when it comes to pizza, he is always truly disappointed. So when we moved back for a short period of time, I knew I had to try their«cheese only» slice and see what all the excitement was about. I have to say, the first time I took a bite, I wasn’t impressed. I said, «THIS is your favorite pizza?» But the more I ate it, the more I fell in love with it. It is really one of my favorite pizzas of ALL time. The sauce is so simple yet complex and leaves you with a hint of sweetness at the very end of your tongue. And the cheese is great quality and an excellent pairing to the sauce. The crust is thin but substantial enough, without leaving you feeling overly loaded on carbs. MUSTEATHERE!

It’s only *really* good when you’re drunk, so 4 stars. But it’s the best thing in the world when it’s hot and fresh out the oven, you’ve finally convinced your friends to leave Nichol’s or those sketchy other bars or. worse. the jug, and you’re hiding away from a bajillion feet of snow. Yum!

I thought the pizza tasted better in person than when I had it delivered. For a while I attributed that to the following correlation: when I was out and eating at Slices, I was often… well…I’d had more than a few drinks. I figured that was why the pizza tasted SOOO much better. However, I soon learned that they make the delivery pizza’s a little differently so you have to order your delivery-pizza«slices style» to get to taste every-bit as good as when you’re having some late-night, post-bar pizza. There’s a difference, but either way the place still gets 5 stars.

A big shout out to Everett and LuAnn, who with no competition could offer terrible pizza to the town of Hamilton. They’ve ignored the temptation and deliver some serious pizza year in and year out-so good that a friend brought his cooler to Reunion so he could keep some in his freezer. The pizza is always hot. One night during finals, serving as pizza girl, I made $ 181 in tips within 4 hours delivering Slices on the hill. That’s just sick. But also a solid commentary on how much appreciated a pizza delivery with a smile can be.
