Found them on Unilocal — I live in Fairfield and wanted something different. Place is cozy and clean. The customer service was great. Walked in and was greeted with«hello and welcome» the food was really good– I got a double cheese burger and the wife got a burger and the delicious waffle fries with cinnamon — yum! I’ll be back again.

Decent place, food was good except for biscuits & gravy was tasteless. Need to be quicker on coffee refills.

I ordered a cup of chili because I didn’t know if I would like it, I am particular about my chili. I’m sorry I didn’t order a bowl. It was very good. I would order it again.

Very friendly owner, Donna. Nice selection of breakfast options. Experienced our first taste of goetta as Donna explained this ground sausage creation unique to the Cincinnati region.

Good theme and selection of food. Been here before for breakfast and it was good but this time for lunch I had the Philly wrap. Never had a Philly with rice in it.

To be honest, we went here for the first time and then the last time. We wanted so much to like this place since we love to support our local restaurants but it shouldn’t take 25 minutes to cook and serve the food we ordered, and that’s not even mentioning how long it took to get the ticket. Come here if you don’t mind waiting — but I won’t ever be going back since the food was all GFS and nothing special at all.

My husband and I stopped in here for a late Saturday lunch! Cozy local diner with a train theme! They serve breakfast all day. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. Everything was hot and tasty! Nice whole grain bun! Had a small side salad to start which was very fresh! My husband had the grilled chicken sand which and sweet potato waffle fries which he said were great! For dessert we shared the child’s size hot brownie sundae! I would come back just for that! Little molten brownie bites! Yum! Our waitress was very friendly and gave wonderful service! One of the things that struck me was that everything seemed really clean and well kept!(Seems like it would be easier to notice the opposite!) Fun spot and we will definitely stop here again if we are in the area!

Great locally owned restaurant. French toast and pancakes are amazing, portions are large and prices are great. I love to support local businesses and this one is top notch!

Great neighborhood diner. The food is hot, fresh, and tasty. The early bird special(before 10:30 am) is two eggs, choice of breakfast meat, hash browns, toast, and coffee for $ 6.95. I go to Bob Evans regularly and the food is better at this diner, and the prices and service are better as well. Plenty of parking. They also have a large selection of items on their menu — every one I’ve tried is delicious. Nice railroad theme. Running trains inside. Huge trestles, nice decorations, friendly service.

The chicken fried steak is as the best I have had outside of Texas. The salads are mixed fresh greens, not just a bed of head lettuce. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and asked for the spicy bbq sauce on the side and it was delicious. They take the time and effort to make the food special. All at a reasonable price. The only item I have had that was just average was the Philly cheesesteak. I will have to try it again sometime. Maybe they have improved it.

I went here by myself the other day after reading the reviews. The first day I got the pancakes(with a side of goetta), and I have to admit, they were even better than I imagined they would be. The menu says they use sweet cream to make them, and perhaps that’s the difference. They also serve Mellow Yellow which is a plus :) The second day I went back it was good as well. I ordered the chicken salad pita with the sweet potato waffle fries, and holy French fries they were freakin amazing! The food is good, and the atmosphere is very cute and inviting. The prices good, but if they go up higher then it will be a little pricey. For a mom and pop place I think it’s great. They have homemade sweets, delicious breakfast and an array of lunch choices. I’ll definitely go back.

Excellent, attentive service and great tasting food at a reasonable price. We had breakfast and were served large portions. Four adults ate for under $ 40. Loved the chicken fried steak and eggs. The omelettes were filled to overflowing and tasty, too. We will be going back to this cute mom and pop establishment.

Family owned gem. You’ll feel right at home. They add special touches like sweet cream pancakes that make this diner a cut above typical diners. Chat them up and you’ll end up being one of the Regulars.

Best local restaurant in Hamilton. Visit weekly and the servers remember our drink orders. Breakfast is always hot and cooked well and they have great dinner specials. My husband and I are very thankful to have this business in our neighborhood.

Excellent sit down quant diner in Lindenwald. I was not surprised by the train station décor inside, which even included a working model train. Service was quick, friendly and with a smile. The menu was composed of typical diner food. I had the infamous Cincinnati staple goetta as a hamburger with a side of potato cakes. Both parts of my meal were excellent. All though I couldn’t keep myself from stealing my grandma’s sweet potato waffles fries dusted in cinnamon sugar. Yum!!! As I was checking out I was a little disappointed I didn’t see the yummy homemade bakery treats in the desert case. There is always next time!

Typical Cysco fare, not bad, not great. Best bet is breakfast. Need more home made permanent menu items! It’s cheaper, it’s easier, it’s faster, and it tastes much better!

This is a terrific local place hidden away in historic Lindenwald(a Hamilton neighborhood, a bit south of the city). The menu is basic and straightforward. Good breakfast and lunch options, including a «daily breakfast special» — 2 eggs, meat, hash browns, bread and coffee for $ 6.25. Not too shabby. They also have omelets and pancakes, biscuits n gravy, etc. Lunch is limited to sandwiches and burgers, mainly, with a few platters. There are occasional daily specials that sometimes include pasta. The décor of the place is fun and family-friendly, with a train station theme and even a small model train that goes back and forth behind glass next to some of the booths. It’s a smallish place, seating probably 60 – 70 or so. There’s a small bar that seat 4 – 5. I suppose its technically a counter and not a bar, because they don’t serve alcohol here. I’ll be back.

My wife and I went here for breakfast, actually at the dinner hour, and everything was perfect. The food came out looking like a picture from a magazine. She had eggs and bacon along with one pancake. Bacon was done just right, eggs cooked as ordered. She said the pancake was much better than ones from the big chains in the area. I had an omelette with ham and cheese. Ham pieces were small but very good and obviously grilled before being folded into the omelette. Toast was buttery and just right. Also had a half order of biscuits and gravy. I should have gotten a full order. Very good gravy with the right amount of pepper. If you are in the mood for breakfast skip the big chains and give this a try. One last thing, its very nicely decorated and clean. Now looking forward to trying the dinner items and sandwiches next time.

Great little place! The owner was very accommodating to me as a vegetarian. They made a special veggie pita for me, which was very appreciated. I have been there for breakfast as well and it was very good. The trains running in the wall are fun too!
