When I walked in the door I was not greeted. I walked up to the counter and I said I had an appointment and they sent me to my chair. I sat down and before we could talk about what I even wanted he started working on my nails, and barely spoke two words to me. When he was done filing with a used file that is not a reusable implement: and should have been thrown away after the first use. I tell him I want a full set and he continues to work on my nails. I watch him pull out a clear box from his drawer with some nippers, scissors, and some other stuff. The entire box is dirty and the nippers were clearly not clean, it was disgusting. Not to mention he still hasn’t said more than five words to me in the last thirty minutes. And the whole vibe of the place is just off. The woman working in the salon just has this rbf thing going on and has also not spoken to me or her client. As he starts to put the nail tips on I notice he pulls the glue out from this dirty broken container and all of the nail polish bottles around it are covered in a thick film of nail dust. It was just gross. When he is finished applying the nail tips he starts to use the electric file and I can literally feel it burning under my nail. So I start fidgeting and he takes my fingers real tight between his and twist them how he wants them. At this point I wanted to leave. It was so awkward and just negative, like they just wanted to close the shop. When the acrylic is on all my nails I get up to go was my hands, and there is just a ton of acrylic under my nails; but I can’t get it out because all of the nail brushes are stacked up and nasty looking in a jar of barbicide. I’ve been there for at least forty five minutes a I know your not supposed to leave anything in it for more than ten minutes, aside from that is just looks unpleasant. So I just wash without cleaning under my nails and go back and the woman starts painting and has yet to speak to me once, until she moves my hand real quick and scrapes some polish off. She tells me I need to be more careful, wow. When she finished I go sit and dry while I watch both of them work with two people and not speak, except to each other in a different language. So moral of the story, I had a horrible time! The place was very dirty, the tools were dirty and broken, the owners were very anti social and did not ask what I wanted or how long I wanted my nails, and I have a ton of acrylic under my nails, I would not go back to Hi Tek Nails in Hamilton Ohio. Located in the Kroger plaza. And I suggest choosing a different nail salon if you want a pleasant experience.
