Vicin’ O Mare

Tomatoe pie to die for along with the best sandwiches in the area. A true Italian eatery that is priced right. Quick service along with friendly staff.

This tiny pizza shop has only 3 tables and is primarily take out. Yet, I was able to grab one for an Eggplant Parm Sandwich lunch yesterday.
The meal was unique in that in addition to thin sliced eggplant, breaded and double sautéed in olive oil, an extra step was included. A layer of ricotta was spread on the bottom of the Italian roll, and again on top of the nightshade before the final mozza and red sauce layers were installed and the entire creation toasted in the pizza oven for final meltdown.
The result; a surprisingly delicious lunch. True, the extra calories were unexpected, but the weight of the final product left me to take half home with me for another meal. Two meals for under $ 8. Hard to beat.
The chef/​owner was a blur of activity, but found a moment to stop by to see what I thought. He seemed pleased that I appreciated his originality, and told me they delivered in the area. I took a copy of the menu to bring to the office. The prices were also lower than the local competition.
We will probably be giving Vicin’ O Mare a call.

Delicious panzarotti for appetizer. You really should try.
The sausage and fresh broccoli rabe Sicilian pizza was excellent and the crust was just as I ordered.
I loved the tortellini Alfredo. So good!
I look forward to my next visit so I can try more.

The girl behind the counter was very nice and took our order quickly. The pizza wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was surprisingly good for the area. Their tap was broken so the only drink options were bottled, that was annoying. I’d go back in the same scenario-​nearby and in a hurry.

The worst pizza over every had. Burnt crust and just bad. It’s hard to ruin pizza but they did it.

best hot subs, i’ve tryed the eggplant parm and chicken parm. so far and they were on the money!!! my co– workers love there salads too. skilled chef in the building!!! everything is very fresh and tasty.
