So extremely disappointed last night. After a long day of work I just wanted to go home, eat some pizza and watch a movie with my family. I ordered on my way home and after 10 minutes on the phone repeating myself multiple times, thought they had it right. Cheese on top of the cheese pizza was burnt. My pizza with«extra sauce» basically had no sauce. Very disappointed. Must be new management because they used to be much better.

Pizza hut failed to meet my minimal expectation on service and quality. On a day where the family had spent the days’ time raking and filling dozens of bags full of leaves, our family decided to conclude the evening by eating Pizza Hut(pizza and bread sticks). Our task was simple: place the order on the Pizza Hut mobile site, pick up the order from carryout, and take home at eat. Several things when very wrong with every step. Placing the order on the Pizza Hut mobile site was very challenging and mildly frustrating. The User Interface is confusing. For instance, if you want to add veggies to the entire pizza you must select«entire pizza» option and then add the veggies. But if you then want to add toppings on half, you must change to «halves» option. Most websites have you add a topping and select which side to place it(left, right, whole, extra, etc). Picking up the pizza was also an experience filled with drama. When I arrived at least 5 families were in front of me but the families were lounging around the small sitting area. I walked in and inquired from the other customers if they were waiting. They said«Yes, for quite a while». One family exclaimed they had been there for 1 hour. Then I walked to the front counter and they told me the wait time(for a carryout order) would be 45 minutes. Remember, I had already placed the order 10 minutes ago. While I was there waiting 3 families came in and canceled there carryout orders and went elsewhere. Despite the drama and long wait, the mobile website was accurate with the predicted finish time. The prediction was 7:24pm and the order was completed at 7:27pm. So, if you place an order on the mobile site and the wait is 45 minutes for carryout, it will be ~45 minutes. The quality of Pizza Hut pizza was below satisfactory. We ordered a pan pizza with two toppings. The pizza sauce was lacking and in some slices missing. The distribution of the toppings was not even. The pan pizza had about 1.5 inches of crust. I also noticed the store lights were not on and the interior of the store was dark and not clean. I will leave the conclusion to you, but if you plan to visit, order early, expect delay and ask for satisfactory amount of toppings and sauce but don’t pay for extra.

Delivery needs work… Both times I’ve ordered we’ve waited an hour or longer, over the quoted time, to get our cold gross pizza. Needless to say we won’t be getting delivery a third time :(

Pizza quality is very good for the price, but more important to me is the actual experience that comes into play when ordering. I hate calling pizza places because I usually have to scream for them to hear my order and that doesn’t strike me as something I like to do. So online ordering is my go-to and it is usually cheaper(because of coupons). Pizza Hut always has online coupons and their new online ordering process is a breeze. Ordering online from Papa Johns is a nightmare compared to PH. So for under $ 10 and 60 seconds of my time, I can feed the family a tasty(yet unhealthy) meal. Sign me up.

Order ahead to ensure the pizza is ready in time. It is what it is… cheap, close, and decent.
