At $ 90 for a set of standard headshots, you would think they were on top of their game and able to turn out high quality portraits with a rapid turnaround. Sadly, that is not what Memory Makers Studio is about. Their front door is always locked. When inside, the front of their operation is barren except for a few photos on the wall showing very ordinary photos. The studio in back was dark and cluttered, but all would be acceptable if they were truly professional and capable to produce what I needed. The set was completed and I waited out front to see what they had taken and to select the best ones for finishing on a disc(no actual proofs used these days). I selected the best of them(can’t blame them for how I look), paid the $ 90 for processing and left. More than a month passed before I was contacted to pick up the disc, and when I arrived I had to go through the locked door routine again. This is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. Clearly, they send out their work for processing. The equipment needed to edit and filter must be beyond their means. These guys do mostly school pix, which are the low hanging fruit of the photography business. Families are in no hurry to overpay for the mostly boring shots of their kids at school each year. If not convenient to my office I would never have gone to Memory Makers; nor would I consider going there again. The price/quality/time proposition is totally whacked!
