Weezy’s

Stopped here on the way back from a family visit. Just what you would expect of a good locally owned burger place. Friendly, filling and affordable. Pretty good burger, too.

Great diner on Route 66. Burgers, fried chicken, homemade pie, and HORSESHOES. Good luck eating the horseshoe. Your stomach lining might disintegrate… but in a good way

I had to kill some time while my car was being repaired at the shop next door. I stopped in for coffee and a light breakfast while I waited. This bar/​café was empty except for the staff. This place is on old route 66 and the décor and theme reflected that. It’s like you stepped back in time when traveling this historic route was popular. License plates on the walls, posters of old cars, even the bar and tables reminded me of a time long ago.
The waitress was friendly and prompt. (No reason to wait, the place was empty) I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The food was up in minutes. The biscuits were homemade and the gravy thick and loaded with sausage. The meal was good and this place would warrant a return visit, except that I don’t live anywhere near there. As I mentioned my car was being repaired. I broke down on the interstate, or I never would have found this place.

Fun atmosphere. Buffalo Chicken wrap was a really good. My wife enjoyed the fried pickles because they were out of their dynamite strips.

Fun friendly atmosphere. Cold beer good food friendly staff can’t ask for anything else. Pretzel with cheese app is awesome!

I ate here in September 2015. Well worth getting off the freeway. Décor is absolutely charming Route 66 themed. Has a small bar. Diner food. Simple menu but very tasty. Like eating at grandmas house. I recommend.

Awesome find:) Found on Unilocal while driving by. Great staff and great food! Lots of history in this place:) Must stop in and give it a try! There is a map for tourists to pin where they are from and tons of old photos from the beginning. Highly Recommend:)

Route 66 memorabilia fills the walls and heightens your visit to this Route 66 icon. The place is friendly, and we had wonderful service.
I was very impressed that the cook was flexible and made me a vegetarian pony shoe (a dish that is local to this part of Illinois).
But words fail me when I try to describe how delightful the cherry pie was.

I thought we were doomed, having missed the exit for Edwardsville, where most of the restaurants were. I’m really happy we did, as this place was a welcomed hidden gem! It’s got a great bar, and is super cute decorated in Route 66 décor. Has TVs, a couple of games and coin machines fun. We all got the burgers and were pleased with them. Good sized, even the kids. I got sweet potato fries and they were tasty. I would highly recommend!

We stopped on a whim while driving and were glad we did. We expected the food to be good from the fact that the parking lot was full and we were not disappointed.

Friendly people! We moved to the area a couple months ago and decided to try Weezy’s. The bartender was wonderful. Friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable and the portions are decent. Our food has always been cooked well. The buffalo chicken wrap is my favorite. The chicken philly sandwich is also delicious! We love going here for lunch. If you’re passing through Hamel, you should give the place a try. They have specials every day.

We LOVE Weezy’s! Great bar food with a twist. The dynamite sticks are a must and the pretzel bun burger is great! Our service has always been great too!
