My daughter and my 10 months baby had their first haircut in this salon. Excellent hair stylist and she knew how to deal with them. It was very good experience for the two of them. Only 4 stars because the entertainment was placed in front of the entrance door and babies were crawling on the floor in front of the entrance, so not good not clean for little ones :(I wish the salon could change!

My husband and I just brought our daughter in for a bang trim. We had a very bad experience. The owner was not in, so I’ll be reaching out to her tomorrow in hopes that she will make this right.
UPDATE: I’m happy to say that I spoke with the Salon Owner, Marna about this issue. She was very kind, assured me that the issue would be addressed, agreed to correct my daughter’s bangs and graciously offered to refund the cost.
I sincerely appreciate her willingness to listen and make this right. Owners like Marna are what make small business thrive in Hamden!

Took my 3 ½ year old for her first hair cut today. So pleased with the entire experience! From the minute we walked in to the time we left the owner was very attentive to my daughter and me. So happy with the cut! We will be back for sure.

This is the place to go for a great kid’s haircut at a very reasonable price! Several other children at my son’s daycare use Tantrum and I have never seen a bad haircut. Yes, there tends to be a wait to be seen because it is walk-​ins only with just the owner as the only stylist but once in the chair, you are her focus and she delivers a great cut! I trust her to make the right call for the hair style my active child needs and it always exceeds my expectations!

My kids favorite haircut place close by, owner is the only stylist, so there are usually long waits, but waiting area has playhouse w fake food, chalkboard wall w chalk, books, and nonstop nick, Cartoon Network, or Disney on screens at the cutting station & in waiting area, owner very nice and always cuts my girls hair awesome

We love this place! The owner is so wonderful with kids and has made our children feel so comfortable in her chair. There are TVs which can be a perfect distraction for a child who is a little bit uncomfortable. The haircuts are always great and she does a great job of balancing our input on how the haircut should look with her suggestions. Highly recommend.

Took our 2.5 year old here today for her first hair cut. Not only was the cut beautiful, but they did an awesome job making sure she was ok at each step. Her first cut came with a certificate, including a few locks of hair taped onto it (in a bag).
We are really happen. Not only are the owners lovely and attentive, but we thought they did a great job of balancing being fun for kids without being overstimulating. We’ll definitely plan on going back.
P.S.
The only reason its getting 4 and not 5 stars is because of the terribly long wait (over 1 ½ hours). But, they let us leave and come back, so it could have been worse.
