Got an outstanding Brazilian wax from Sara yesterday. This is my second wax from Esthetique and both were extremely thorough (the wax technicians go over strays with tweezers to leave it completely clean) and longer lasting than my previous waxes.
My first wax with a younger technician was far more painful– I had so much swelling and tenderness that I had to hold off exercise for 48 hours instead of the usual 24. I was still happy with the later results, but definitely take Tylenol an hour before your appointment. I would recommend requesting Sara for a relatively painless and quick but very thorough wax. Thank you Sara!

I had a great experience. Nicole and the team was amazing, very warm and welcoming. My nails and toes look great. I will be going back soon.

I went to this salon for a spray tan. VERY disappointed. Poor customer service and a lackluster tan that was spotty and only lasted a couple of days.
Charged more than the price posted on the website.

I’ve been coming to Esthetique for Brazilian waxes for about 6 months now. Love love love the results. All of the estheticians I’ve seen have been great, with little to no pain for the Brazilians! They have made me feel comfortable and relaxed for such an intimate process.
I’ve also had pedicures here, and they are fantastic. They do such a great job that the pedis last for a very long time (3 – 4 weeks).
The setting is understated. As others have mentioned, it’s not a deluxe spa. But if you come with the expectation of good service and quality results, I think you’ll be happy with Esthetique. I sure am!

Horrible time here and was so disappointed. Rude staff, cold atmosphere and horrible facial. The person who gave me my very expensive treatment clearly it’d not want to be there, rushed through the session and was incredibly rude.
Gave my feedback at front desk before leaving, no call back, apologizes or any questions asked. Very disappointing and will def never return

I got the Esthetique signature package (massage (or people can opt for a facial), pedicure and manicure. I loved my massage with Colleen… she is super nice and knowledgeable, and being a marathoner, I needed that massage. I had my nails and toes done by Ally and she was great too. Very accommodating «front of house» staff as well. Beautiful relaxing setting… I highly recommend it, esp. Colleen for massages.

I received a gift certificate and used it to get a «manicure». I asked for shellac. Well, all I got was my nails filed while dry and three coats of polish. No lotion OR a hand massage. It costed $ 44.00 plus tip!
Place is clean and welcoming, but not worth the money for a Manicure!

Great service — never fails. Still reasonably price and obsessed with the stuff in their boutique. Will be trying a massage this weekend. Only gripe is that I wish there were discounts or specials once in a while!

This place is certainly nothing fancy, but it is adequate. Go expecting a nail salon and not a spa and your expectations will be more than met. There is no relaxation room and the massage rooms are very small. Overall the setting is nothing special, but it did seem clean.
While I am not impressed by the atmosphere, my massage therapist was quite competent. She took the time to do an evaluation before beginning and was able to speak very intelligently about physiology. The massage was thorough and I believe she spent more than the allotted 60 minutes.
Overall, a good experience due to the therapist. Price was in line with other places in the New Haven area.

Best brazilian ever. Very fast and thorough. Great manicure too. Lasts a long time. They aren’t very personable and dont try to make conversation however. Overall good experience.

This was my first time getting a Brazilian Wax and I was SOOOOOOO nervous!!! Jill was very casual about it and assured me that it wouldn’t be that bad. Well folks, she was right, it isn’t that bad!
I came here to get a Brazilian wax, an eyebrow wax, and a lip wax. (first timer for eyebrows and down below). I am still swollen and red today (at 12pm, my wax was last night at 6pm) and it DID hurt (not going to lie about that) but the wax they use is awesome (soy) and Jill makes you feel really comfortable –SUCH a nice woman! The only part that is swollen is directly below my stomach (front part, best way to describe) and I am thinking it has something to do with sleeping? The important part is that it is going down.
This place is awesome– a comfortable atmosphere, and a private room for waxing. I am considering coming here for a facial since Jill seemed very knowledgeable about what might be best for my skin (she gave me samples of facial cleanser that I am going to try) and the place is very nice.

I actually just got back from getting a brazilian with Jill here and I had to come home to write a review!
I’ve come here before by advice on Unilocal as well as an old friend of mine who has gone here even before they expanded. I had a brazilian with Nicole which I really loved the results of but she wasn’t as gentle as I expected for someone who had a broken pelvis aka me.
The wax they use doesn’t require that they lift it with a strip, they simply pick at the edge and out comes your hair. I love the way my hair grew back, not crazy and thick just fine and really light.
Today I had an appointment for 10 AM but they said I was in the book for Thursday. Kinda pissed, I was about to accept it and be on my way before Jill said she would take me in. I was in and out in the fastest wax I ever had in my life! She also recommended some products to me for my facial scar and acne, so here is hoping that it works. I feel like I already trust her though!
If you can. check it out! This is the only spa I’ve ever gone to more than once and I plan on going back for a number of things.

This is my favorite spa in the area. They have a wonderful ambiance. I took my mom there for a half day and we both truly felt pampered. The place is super clean and the staff take excellent care of you. Pedicures are done in their own area with big comfy chairs and soothing foot baths. The massages are amazing too.
It’s a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for here.
