Tony’s Pizza & Pasta Restaurant

Most of the food in this area has been mediocre at best. Surprisingly though, my husband and I stopped in here this morning for pizza as it was the only place open at 10:30am, and I was pleasantly surprised! The pepperoni pizza was amazing. If your staying at the Minerals Resort & Spa like we did, I’m warning you, the food SUCKS! So make this place one of your go to’s for a quick bite to eat. I think they deliver as well.

3 stars because you get a perfect pizza 75% of the time, the other 25% of the time its either over cooked on the bottom, too small for the box because who even made it didn’t stretch it enough which causes a thicker crust that’s too chewy or they don’t bring the sauce out to the edge far enough causing a ex-​large crust around the pizza which to me is a rip off because it means less of the actual pizza. It’s a shame because when its done right Tony’s is great. Lately I order elsewhere instead of taking the gamble on Tony’s

Good pizza, quick delivery… Was staying at Grand cascade lodge and they delivered to the lodge. @ salads that were quite basic. Also had a veggie hero… good easy food.

I just moved here from Morris Co. This is one of the only pizza places that delivers. The calzones are awesome. However, while in Riverdale, I had a vast choice of delivery places (pizza, chinese, sushi, indian, etc) and relied on my local pizza place not only for italian but delicious and HEALTHY choices. I used to always order salads that my local pizza places would deliver. I would love for Tony’s to provide something other than a house salad. Blue cheese, walnuts and chicken? Mandarin oranges, chicken, dried cherries? Add a salad menu and I would become a regular customer.

Let’s just say Tony’s is different when dining in compared to delivery. Let’s start with the good first, sometimes my family and I eat in at Tony’s. Pizza is great, cooked just how we asked. Appetizers are delicious as always. Their salad is really tasty too. I also love going there on Wednesday’s (it’s when they have their special)
Now, one thing that really upsets us is ordering a «pizza» for delivery. The usual order is «well done» we are always emphasizing it being made well done. Okay, so the toppings might be pepperoni and onions. Here comes the pizza; onions basically look like they have been nuked in the microwave and yes, you’re correct. The pizza is NOT well done. I can’t even remember how many times we’ve used a spatula to put our pizza on a plate!
Also, they have a way of screwing up your order and you end up getting the wrong thing. They will kindly come back with the right meal, if I’m not mistaken, with no charge.
There’s also one more good thing, I once order a sloppy pizza. More sauce less cheese… Order made right.
But if anything, whether cooked right or not– I for one think their food is still good, maybe they’re hearing is a bit, eh.

Excellent food for the price. Authentic Italian food, but the service can be a bit slow on nights that they run the specials. The owners are always there insuring the quality of the food which is a good thing. The tomato sauce (gravy) as we Italians know it is excellent and I prefer to buy a container from them rather than store bought Tomato sauce from a jar. On a busy night your best bet is take out and enjoy your meal home. The dining room is nice and you can bring your own wine if you like.
