There’s a first time for everything. I got the two pancake special. The turkey bacon and eggs were average. The grits were watery. The biscuits were not good but the pancakes were spectacular!

God, I hate Cracker Barrel. I last went to one over 20 years ago and have since avoided the chain, on purpose. The food is almost uniformly gross, though my husband seems to like it. But for pity’s sake, even the apple slices weren’t good. The pinto beans were ok, I guess, but my chicken and dumplings were bland and not very hot. On the plus side, the staff was pleasant and the prices weren’t bad.

Unfortunately going down hill fast… Two separate occasions now I had undercooked food or just a meager portion… Since when are steak fries cut up in little pieces? Third time I hope to see better results. There are no casual sit down restaurants with a diverse menu like that in Hamburg.

My favorite breakfast place! Their crispy-edged pancakes are always cooked to perfection. I enjoy coming here.

Comfort food at its finest. I was on a road trip to Michigan, and the first night, we decided to stop at Cracker Barrel because we don’t have these in New Jersey. It feels like you’re walking in to Paula Deen’s house. I can’t imagine how many calories are in each dish. Large helpings, lots of butter. I can’t imagine ever eating regularly at one of these places, but it was ok for a road trip dinner. The store outside the restaurant is pretty cool. It has lots of throwback candies and interesting chips and crackers. I might visit another one of these just for the store, not even for a meal.

Thirty minutes and no fixins. I was so hungry I thought I would eat the table. The waiter was unfriendly only making the fact that I was starving worse. The food was yummy when it finally came. A few small issues grits were under cookedand the sausage was over. The eggs were perfect and the hash brown casserole awesome as usual. Despite the wait I love coming here love the country store and will be back.

Great people, decent food at a reasonable price. Portions are just the right size to fill ya up, but not too much. Coffee was always refilled — can’t say enough about good attitude of all the employees. Nice little store to browse with a selection of CDS if you’re in the mood for some tunes.

This is the cleanest Cracker Barrel I have ever been to. This place is spotless! The bathrooms smelled like a cool summer rain. Food great and the service was with a smile as well. Good job guys!

Should have tried the breakfast but I wasn’t in the taste mood. The lunch was barely passable. The Mac and cheese was runny. The turnip greens overcooked. The fried okra was overbreaded. In fact, you could harks find the bite sized bits okra in the batter, which was under seasoned. Bu contrast, the grilled trout was flavorful and cooked to perfection; the biscuits were excellent. Next time I’ll go for the breakfast.

This place was amazing! A bit pricy for some, but definitely worth it. Food is very tasty and always leaving full to busting after one serving of my meal. Staff is absolutely friendly and the food tastes fresh. Definitely better than frackville’s crackerbarrel!

there is not a thing that cracker barrel sells that is not good. it is hard to decide what to get when I go to one because everything is so good. the roast beef is so tender you can cut it with a fork. the biscuits are really good. the pancakes are amazing. the catfish is good both ways they make it as well as the trout. the chicken and dumplings are excellent. the blackberry cobbler is by far the best desert. they have e excellent thick cut bacon, make sure to order it well done. sweet tea is really good. service is always good. never a problem with any cracker barrel I have been to.

We stopped here because my wife always liked this chain while I thought it was just so-so. Having said that, I liked my meal and wife liked hers. Nothing overly fancy with bells and whistles but just a plain old fashioned home cooked meal. Waitress Jennifer was very nice and the atmosphere was pretty decent. Would prefer that CB had a policy of having the waitress/waiter take the bill and return with the change… you have to go to the gift shop to pay but oh well. Otherwise, a decent meal, decent price, beyond pleasant waitress, nice experience.

One of my favorites. Whenever I don’t know where to go for cheap quality sit down food, I go to Cracker Barrel. I can’t get enough of those biscuits and gravy. Rarely ever have any issues at all. About 1⁄15 visits might have a slow waitress and that’s it. If they ever have the blackberry cobbler, it is to die for good. It’s always so hard to decide wether or not I want to eat breakfast or dinner because they both are so good. But whatever you do, don’t eat the biscuits without asking for a free side of sawmill gravy for the biscuits. You won’t regret it.

Very average Cracker Barrel, but cannot handle massive holiday rushes. I went here on a holiday last year and half the food arrived cold — and it took forever. On any other night, it’s a very typical CB, though!

Solid food for the road. Making the trip from PA to NY, this’ll hold you all the way home. Chicken fried steak isn’t amazing but the grilled chicken is tender, juicy and the perfect portion size. Don’t fall for the overpriced vintage candy though! And make sure to try out the rocking chairs before you go.

I suppose to a point, if you’ve been one Cracker Barrel be it in Florida, Virginia or in Pennsylvania then you’ve been to them all. You know the drill: 1. Walk into faux Southern gift shop that wants to look like some kind of grandmother’s attic/yard sale/low country-esque road side store except that instead of being filled with antiques and heirlooms it’s filled with overpriced useless crap from China. 2. Menu that’s far from creative but can be decent when it’s executed properly. 3. The strange policy where you don’t pay the server but instead have to walk it back out to the gift shop where the registers are.(I guess CB as a chain doesn’t get stiffed a lot of else they would change this but it just seems ripe for a ton of walkouts.) With that said I’ve been here twice within the last three months and both times were surprisingly good. As others have mentioned, if this place ever has a slow time I have yet to see it. Both times, once for dinner on a Sunday and the other for lunch on a Tuesday, we were able to get a table right away but were sandwiched in between larger groups. It was awkward but it beat waiting for a table. The menu items overall are not worth mentioning because with one exception little is outstanding. The breakfast stuff could be had at any Friendly’s, Denny’s, Perkins or small town diner for comparable cost or less and with comparable quality or better.
On the lunch menu the one surprising bright spot was the Apple Cider BBQ Chicken Breast. The chunks of gala apple along with the BBQ sauce were very, very good and the piece of chicken was perfectly grilled. Sure it’s on the«healthy» menu but what the hell, good stuff is good stuff. I never seek out Cracker Barrel but if your on a highway driving in the middle of nowhere chances are at the next exit/interchange one will be there and while they are not five star cuisine it more than fits the bill to get you back on the road in a hurry.

No, no and no. I normally love Cracker Barrel but our waitress was horrible. Never came to ask us how our food was and took 15 minutes to come out to our table! I’m sure I’ll be back again, but I was really put off this time.

Good place to stop when driving. Quick and easy comfort food. Surprising amour of vegetarian options(veg dinner plate & breakfast all day) Had the French toast which was very good, served with hot syrup which was a nice touch. Food came out quickly which was nice since it was just a break from driving. Friend has eggs, sausage, and biscuits which were all good. Perfect for a break instead of going to a rest stop Nd having fast food.

We frequent Cracker Barrel, wherever we travel.(Mostly within the Northeast area). We have stopped at this location twice now, and both times have had the same issue. We get the same meal each time we come here(we hate changing it up), and he always has the«Country Boy» breakfast. This comes with steak, eggs, biscuits and gravy &3 sides. Each time at this location, they cannot cook his steak properly. He requests Medium Rare. I understand sometimes things come out a little over cooked, and he can get Medium. Each time we have come here, it has been Medium Well, and have to return it. While we are waiting for the re-fire, his food gets cold. Luckily, the new steak was cooked perfect and it was a nicer steak, but I just don’t understand why cooking steak is an issue, especially if its a common food item that people order. It seemed like both times other tables were having issues as well: the manager came out a lot at tonight’s service. Other than that, we love Cracker Barrel. All the food is great, and I love the country store. It’s way over priced, but I enjoy looking and often buy a few of the candies(Modjeskas are my favorite!!) The staff was very pleasant. Always a winner!

Been to many Cracker barrels from NY to Florida. This one is by far the worst. Food is great. No problem with the kitchen, it’s the servers who are terrible. Waitress Marlene obviously failed charm school. I frequently find a restaurant this bad to be a reflection of poor or incompetent management. I know with a waitress like Marlene, management has had to deal with other complaints and chose to ignore them. I think I will contact corporate for their input. Remember… the food is still great, the service stinks.
