GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE A N D FOOD !!!
Ah, a summer wedding outside by a lovely pond in a gazebo next to a beautifully manicured golf course… what …it’s starting to rain ??? Oh s_​_​t !!! Help !!!
No problem, we will just move it inside to the banquet room where we are already set up for the reception !! In front of a lovely fireplace filled with burning candles for ambience. The DJ was nestled into his corner, the staff brought chairs for the parents, and everyone else just sat at their assigned seats. Perfect. The banquet captain and staff just moved like silent little ninjas moving everything and adding a table and tablecloth for the Unity Ceremony. So professional !! Everything we asked for was given. No questions, period.
All the tables for the candy bar, place cards, appetizer buffet, and so on were perfectly placed. I’m sure the bride had something to do with the planning, but the execution was spot on. Well done.
Now, I have worked in the restaurant business for 40+ yrs, and I can tell you that yes, we accommodate clients requests with a smile, even though we wonder !! And yes, we talk about them and their eccentricities and demanding ways, realizing that while it is just another Saturday at work for us, it is a once in a lifetime event for the couple. Hopefully. The staff at Majestic Oaks did a wonderful job !!
Then came the food. Knowing how difficult it is to make a hundred plates of tasty food and keeping it hot is, I was in awe. Great mashed potatoes that didn’t even need gravy, moist chicken with a surprise inside, and green beans that were not overcooked. If I had to critique some thing a little off, the salads were not chilled enough. Perhaps the fact that their was at least 1 other function going on in another hall meant the cooler was full. So what, the whole culinary experience was top notch. Well Done Chef and staff.
And YES… the butter was room temperature :-) I don’t like it when I have to butter a nice warm roll with ice cold hard butter. Somethings we like hard and somethings not.
All in all, a great bridal experience, nice facilities, wonderful food and a professional staff.
