Read through the reviews and found they used to have what myself & friends would like — an adult skate night. Hate we missed that; maybe it will come back. Price is right, location works for me/us. Refreshments are properly priced but a bit slow on production side. Friendly staff, lots of «regulars.» Not a lot of rule enforcement on speed skating, weaving, etc. 90% of my falls can be attributed to children with«tripods,» skaters leaving the floor or skating against the traffic to get off the floor rather than skating to the next exit, fallen skaters staying in middle of floor and«weavers.» Music definitely needs work; doesn’t inspire me to groove.

GARBAGE!!! Pure Garbage, plain and simple. I commend them on their effort to bring back this Adult Skate Night that I guess used to happen, but people weren’t coming in for some reason, and me not being from around here… If what I experienced tonight was anything like what it used to be, then I can see why it didn’t do well. This has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the fact that I haven’t skated in over 10 years. I would have at least like for them to motivate me with music to get my ass out there and skate, but since the music had no variety whatsoever, seriously after the 5thUNFAMILIAR slow jam in a row… SLOWJAM… REALLY??? I called it a night. Nope didn’t even get on the floor. COMEONMAN! Some variety in the music would have been nice. Some disco, some rock, some pop, some Top 40, country, swing, classical, techno… Anything, at least something with a dance beat. NOTHING! Hell even silence would have been nice. The lady at the entrance was nice, the little boy who gave me my skates… well I guess he was nice too, the guy at the skate rental booth who was looking me up and down checking out my goodies… well I guess he was nice too. The skate floor itself… well it was nice enough. Seriously though. I won’t be going back. Nice staff and a nice floor. Not gonna do it for me. I’m better off doing what I did when I was a kid. I’m just going to go out and buy my own skates, put in my headphones and find a nice empty parking lot. This place is not worth my time. I highly do NOT recommend this place.

The skate floor is kinda small and seems to have a little slope around the far edges(like maybe a foundation issue or something.) The skate floor itself is in good shape, clean and waxed. The rental skates are in nice condition. The snack bar area is way too small, not enough seating and you can’t use cash — you have to trade cash for ‘fun bucks’ at the front entrance counter(annoying.) Just like every other rink in the area there is very little supervision on the floor. The staff that actually watches the floor(meaning they skate on the floor) are kids. Sometimes the kid that was the floor ‘ref’ was skating FASTER than everyone on the floor with his headphones on and not paying attention to ANYONE on the floor(just showing off.) Kids skating the wrong way, cutting across the floor, etc — a real hazard. I like the atmosphere of the rink I just wish the floor was a little larger(like Hurst Skateland or maybe Skatetown.) The price for renting the little skate trainers is ridiculous($ 5) in my opinion.

Horrible. Party table was 12 inches from the mens room door. Mens room was filthy and added to trashy feeling of the party. Our hostess took a kids ice cream while he was eating it, he was 6 and cried. Then she threw away a cake plate while another kid was taking a drink. When i asked for a replacement plate, she got super defensive and gave me a plain white plate instead of a party plate. How cheap! I had to call twice for service, and a supervisor tried to help, but she walked off in the middle of conversation. ?? Then she had the nerve to ask for one of customized cupcakes, my wife being nice let her have one. Then the hostess asked for 2 more. Very unprofessional, cheap service, and they spelled my sons name wrong. I made the online reservation with his name, how do you screw up «Nolan»?!

Decent floor. I used to skate here when they had Adult Skate on Sunday nights. Not enough people were showing up and they canceled that, unfortunately. They used to play old school(disco and funk) music. It kicked ass! Interesting floor with half of it set back away from the rest of the building. In other words, there is kind of an L-shape formed with the floor being the long part of the L, and that’s the only thing that is up there in the long part is skate floor… no rooms along the side or anything. It’s somewhat of a unique arrangement. You have a feeling of going into a tunnel at that end of the floor. This rink is owned by a very active man in the local business community named Jim Austin.
