I am sorry that Dr Rapp has retired and the services now went down the drain. Very bad. The new manager of the office Tiffany is not very good to help you with your needs. Hope she does not get pay too much, as she does not deserve it.

I’ve had every kind of quack in South Florida in my life and Steven is a refreshing change. He took the time to sit with me, at my request, before I committed, in order to chat about his practice. That’s rare and so is his help. Everybody is so nice and they do do what you request without a lot of phoey and leg dragging. I’m difficult with doctors and their staff but I’ve found NO problems here just a friendly attitude with everything working smoothly. I am now 70. I have been to a great many doctors and normally have not been overly impressed with the educational background of the guys practicing down here. I’m from Boston and was always treated by Ivy League doctors. For the past 40 years I’ve taken a rather HOHUMMM attitude toward the way medicine is practiced in South Florida.(I won’t go into some of the horror stories I have about Miami medicine.) But the doctors and staff at CIMCare and I’m astounded at their level of caring. Everybody working here is spot on. They smile, they care, they help with everything. I am not an easy customer and difficult with doctors so if they can make me happy, WOW, they are doing something right. Let me give you an example of what happened today. I’ve been getting the run around from Hollywood Dermatology’s Hollywood office which insists that the group of dermatologists they are affiliated with(Dermatology Network Solutions) with not pay for BRACHYTHERAPY despite the fact that one of their own doctors recomended it over MOHS. I have a wee spot on the tip of my nose which they biopsied and found to contain cancer. Immediately I heard«lets do MOHS surgery» which can leave a huge disfiguring mess right on the tip of my nose. I got a second opinion from Dr. Barry Resnik who said it looked to him like the biopsy took out the cells and not to worry. A year later, after learning that Dr. Resnik was dropping my insurance, I saw Dr. Lucia Krause who is in Hollywood Dermatology’s Hallandale Beach office. She advised radiation as it is the best option for cancer on the nose because[ «the patient may suffer disfigurement»(Wikipedia).] in her opinion this was the proper route to go. I called my insurance company and they said they didn’t know what this doctor was trying to do because they are happy to pay for all radiation treatment to the face. I looked on the net for before and after photos of MOHS surgery on the nose and got the bloody horrors. I reported this all to Dr. Rapp and he gently smiled and said, «Don’t worry we will straighten it out for you.» Before you could say Jack Robinson, his staff went into high gear and resolved the matter with an oncology office he recommended. His secretary said to me, «Just call, and make an appointment my daughter is the receptionist.» I did and it is a done deal. No more anxiety about a huge divot on the tip of my nose because a dermatologist wants to make an extra buck doing yet ANOTHER unnecessary surgery. My family are all lawyers and some of them told me it just another case of mal practice or Medicare Fraud or insurance companies being squeezed by Medicare or Obamacare guidelines. There is one very special thing about this practice. They have been purchased and with Humana getting it’s hands involved I’m sure that means a downgrade in the quality of service and the level of medications allowed. I am happy to say that their is an exceptional doctor working here by the name of Kip Rider. He may have the best bedside manner of any doctor I have yet encountered. Kip also takes special interest in your case regardless of the cost to the firm because he is a genuine human being. He served his country in the Special Forces branch of our military and I assume has seen things that most of us have not. This experience along with his natural good nature may contribute to what I must say is an outstanding doctor/patient attitude. Dr. Rapp retired yesterday so I shall rely on Dr. Rider for my cardio treatment in future which is OK by me because he is one in a million.
