Carini’s Pizza & Pasta

We like it. We have been ordering from them for over two years. Their pizzas are good, grease and filling. They are consistent, even when they’re full. We have dined there a few times. The quality of the pies are good, good ingredients. Their pasta is also worth trying, although I usually order pizza to go.

Sub standard pizza and very disappointing customer service!
We had been ordering pizza for take out almost every week for four months when the incident happened in the spring of 2016. It was not the first time that our order had been wrong but the two previous times the order was only for my wife and I so we did not complain.
However that time we had invited guests over and it was very embarrassing when a guest pointed out that the pizza was not an all-​dressed pizza with extra mushrooms and red peppers but just a plain pizza with mushrooms and red peppers. On top of that, we turned the pizza over and it was almost burned underneath!
It was a busy Friday at this pizza place and I had already waited more than 25 minutes over the time I had been given for pick up (50 minutes total) so I was not tempted to go back and start over and the guests were starved. It was a good thing I had ordered two large salads as well. We threw the pizza away except for a piece to show the restaurant if need be the following day. The guests said they would never order pizza from this place!
When I called the day after and asked to speak with the manager, he initially apologized for the problems experienced but refused to do anything, such as offer a replacement pizza to compensate us for the mistake in the order, the sub standard pizza, the spoiled dinner and the embarrassment. He said I should have complained on the same night and that the next day was too late! I said I had guests over that I had to take care of and that I could not realistically ask them to wait at least one hour to go get a pizza that was not burned and had all the ingredients ordered. He laughed at me when I mentioned I had saved a piece of the pizza to show him. He hinted that now that we had eaten most of the pizza, we were asking for another pizza…
I insisted and asked if he was ready to do something for regular customers and he offered 10% off the next order. He never checked if we had overpaid the pizza since we had ordered a more expensive pizza than what we were given! Well, there will not be a next order! The manager just added insult to injury!
I strongly suggest that if you do order from this place, that you open the box on the spot and lift the cheese to check for ingredients as well as lift the crust to check that it is not burned… This may be a pain but it is better than throwing $ 27 away on bad pizza!

Nice little cozy restaurant. Classic Italian food. Not a big fan of pork and beef meatballs wish they were all beef. But the ambiance is warm and good lighting. Pizza was awesome.

I have not been here since around 2007 – 2008, only because I live in New York and I no longer travel to Florida for business.
There were two Carini’s in the Hollywood/​Ft. Lauderdale area back then, if i remember correctly. This was the one that looked like a dive, right across the street from the dog racing track. The place was always hot as heck and there were flies all over the place. But DANG, the pizza was amazing, not just for Florida, but for anywhere.
Being a New York pizza snob, I was not only surprised by how good the slices tasted, but how huge and inexpensive they were. I have since told every person I know who travels to this area to check it out. (I hope it’s still as good and all those people don’t think I’m a bad judge of pizza!)

Went in for a sub– woman at the counter was completely disengaged and so must be the cook. The subs were expensive and flavorless. The sausage sub was served on a doughy flavorless bread without sauce– the sausage was dry and barely there. The Italian sub was no better. Honestly subway is better and that’s not saying much. I went there cause I thought, hey they have to be better than publix! No, I should have gone to publix, 7-​eleven, the alley dumpster. It’s not the first time I’ve been disappointed by Carini’s what’s it take for me to learn to stay away? Too bad it’s a neighborhood joint — that’s the only reason It gets one star and cause I can’t give it 0.

This has always been a reliable mainstay for a work lunch. It’s usually quiet and always pleasant. They have a nice lunch special of two slices and a soda or one giant slice and a soda. It’s not busy for lunch and the pizza is consistently my favorite of any place I can go, work or home right now.
When we lived closer we went there for dinner regularly and it gets PACKED. In the evenings the service had been average. Never awful, never outstanding. We never ordered delivery so I can’t comment on that.

I just ordered food on a Friday afternoon. Lasagne, Chicken Francese, pasta fagioli and I live fairly close. It took an hour and half for food to be delivered. The francese was made with zero love. No fresh seasonings the chicken was over cooked and lacked taste. I will have to Dr. It up tomorrow. For $ 40.00 it was a real disappointment considering I know the owner and he owns mama Mia as well and the difference in food taste is huge. This will probably be the last time I spend my money at carinis. The last time I ordered my francese it was the same but I gave the benefit of the doubt.

Hey Bruce wake up! If you’re in a new management you won’t stay in business for long!
I had a pizza and it was awful. Tasteless, with almost no sauce and very few topping. Very too expensive for what I got. I will never return.

We ordered two pizzas, mozzarella sticks and pasta. The food took a hour and twenty minutes to be delivered at 8 pm on a Sunday. We called twice wondering if our food was coming. The person who answered said the food left 30 minutes ago. Thirty minutes more and it was delivered to the hotel. The food was cold, literally we couldn’t eat the mozzarella because it was hard. The order was also wrong, we ordered three orders of mozzarella and only (thankfully) received one. When my wife spoke to the manager «Bruce», he told us to ask the hotel to warm up the food for us. Unbelievable! Don’t waste your time!

Great tasting pizza, service was good, really affordable as well! My daughter enjoyed watching them make the pizza!

The pizza slices are gigantic and delicious. I’m there once a week before a casino stop. Very charming restaurant also

place is cute, it was quite busy i expected the food to be better.
the waiter was absent we saw him to take the order and to drop a check no refills didn’t bother to find out if food was OK. this place was average. what stood out was Bruce and he was new to the place but he was super nice he also bused our table packed the To go and tried to make us order more lol.
I had the ravioli carbonara it was really average quite bland and my girl had a meat sauce fettuccine and it had a generic tomato sauce that most likely came from a can.
I hope the pizza’s are good. The prices were cheap i’m not saying it was bad i just had a lot better.

Carciones made my holiday meal the best. The veggie lasagne was spinach and mushrooms and absolutely perfect. The meat lasagne had so much meat in it. I cannot even describe the perfect garlic rolls. I will never have to cook Christmas again. People couldn’t stop raving about the food. Had to hide leftovers for myself.

This place is fantastic. Great pizza, great eggplant parm, great rice balls. The service was fantastic also. We prosciutto & fresh garlic pizza. It was popping with flavor. The eggplant in the parm was nice an thin with golden brown cheese on top & fantastic sauce. This meal was super delicious.

I had the grill chicken with broccoli and it was great. My friend had the creek salad and pepperoni bread. The pepperoni bread was huge but very good. We really enjoyed the food and customer service.

This place is going down very fast. Been coming here for good 4 – 5 years. Food was always great until lately (under new management)

Pizza is good but it could be great if they added more cheese. Great crust but I had to eat 4 slices and wanted more to fill me up. Usually 1 ½ slices is all I can eat.

Shame in the people that have it good reviews!!! I would not have ordered from here other wise. This is the first and last time I order from here. If I could give it no stars I would!!! I ordered for delivery chicken fettuccini Alfredo cuz I had a craving. It arrived fast thanks driver! But what I received was baked ziti with chicken! Not great may I add. I guess they send u whatever they want. I called and asked them to correct it and they did, but that was worse. It killed my craving for Alfredo mighty fast. There must b no chef at this place. The garlic bread was good and so was the canoli. I do not recommend this place at all.

My husband and I went there a couple days ago, the pizza was absolutely amazing the staff was very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this place!

I’m giving this place 5 stars for a few reasons.
First time I ordered from there was on a staycation at the Westin Diplomat. We ordered a large cheese pie, two white slices and a pasta fagioli soup. It was delivered in well under an hour and arrived hot. The pizza was fantastic! Thin, crispy and a nice sauce that didn’t taste over seasoned. You can tell they cook it right on the stone and don’t use screens which makes a tremendous difference in the consistency and crispness of the dough. The white slices were great and I’m picky about my white slices… (Mozzarella n ricotta, no sauce). My gf had the soup and really enjoyed it, I had a try and agreed. You can tell it’s made there and not canned.
Ordered from here a second time yesterday and again was very pleased. The service is fast and friendly and they always offer the specials. I haven’t even dined in and I’m a big fan already! Pizza done right… NY style.
