The overall combination at Blue is amazing, the food prices, taste and atmosphere is excellent. Staff is very friendly and the view is fantastic. Risotto, Seafood linguine and filet mignon was delicious, we shared it all. The music was a little loud but we had a great time.

Beautiful oceanfront restaurant with view of the ocean. Live entertainment. Great food at a great price. Had a wonderful Filet Mignon, Caesar Salad, and Crème Brûlée along with fabulous music and dancing.

Nice place to throw a big Russian birthday party here like we did. We had over 80 people and we had a blast. Looks right over the beach

Visiting for a conference and we had planned a group dinner at Blue. Everybody had a great time and we were all surprised at the entertainer who did music and a bit of an unscripted comedy show between songs. It was a loud dinner and the crowd aside from us were all in late 60s and older but I think the gourmet menu (3 course prix fixe) more than makes up for it!
Appetizers with traditional escargot was creamy and fatty without being overwhelming. Caesar salad with a pleasant touch of vinegar in the otherwise traditional dressing, very welcomed addition.
Basic French bread and butter service was provided, somewhat delayed, and not impressive but that’s not why we were here.
Tried Moscow mule and jimmy hendricks. Both solid and enjoyable cocktails I would recommend!
Entrees were the definite stars.
I did the red snapper which was cooked and seasoned very well. Not overly cooked or pan fried in butter. Red snapper is my favorite fish and its flavor shined beautifully with the accompanying kale salad and mashed potatoes.
My wife’s was even better though! If you love seafood, absolutely get the the seafood linguine (clam, mussel, bay scallop, shrimp). Masterfully done mix of white wine sauce, butter, and brine. All seafoods were perfectly cooked and individually seasoned. The best seafood pasta I’ve ever had.
Key lime pie for dessert was a must and was satisfying. A touch too sweet with the accompanying fresh whipped cream and mint but great for the first couple bites.
Check this place out! All in all a fine French restaurant featuring a well priced prix fixe menu with great ocean views. Hope this place gets more good press because the food is great.
Would tone down the live show a little bit at least in volume as it was at club volumes for ¾ of our group dinner.

They were great at accommodating a large party of 12, place is really nice. You might miss it driving by because it’s in between two tall condominiums. Servers were pleasant and nice, took long on the drinks but were efficient on the food. There was live music that night which was a little loud, so if they can lower the volume would be great but an enjoyable experiance. Priced were very good.

Just had a relaxing lunch at Blue Bar Grill this past Tuesday. I initially found them through Groupon when I searched for lunch/​dinner spots near my vacation home-​base. They are a bit oddly located inside a gated condominium complex, your car is valet parked in the condo parking lot. They were empty, save for a few other diners seated on the terrace, and we were seated in the shade facing the gorgeous beach. I’m not sure any other diners have noticed but I really appreciated that I could stretch out, I reached and reached for the elderly couple seated to our right but they were a good 5 – 6 feet away. I came armed with a Groupon and then was pleasantly surprised with a Unilocal check-​in perk, the manager was very nice to let me redeem both. The lunch menu was not extensive but both my fiancé and I found something. We split the fried calamari app, the calamari was not overcooked but the batter was a bit too crispy. Next up, I had the half or small Cobb salad and fiancé had the tuna salad sandwich. The salad was generously adorned with toppings and the greens were crisp. I was wondering what the whole Cobb salad must entail because the half portion was a heaping plateful. The tuna sandwich was fresh and came with fries which were tasty. I stuck with the complimentary prosecco and water while my fiancé had two glasses of iced tea. The complimentary pour was generous, even after the server accidentally knocked some of the booze out of the glass (he apologized) I was happy to know I had 100% more free booze than I had before walking in here.
Would I come back here? Yes. Am I still on vacation to be able to come back? No :(

I stumbled upon this place on the way to another Bar– so glad I found it and walked in. Michael, the bartender, was fabulous. I always layover in Florida and I think I found my new spot when I’m in town. I had a burger and fries. It came out quick and was cooked perfectly. I can’t wait to go back.

Great view, good food, & good wine. The lamb shank was on the small side & a little tough, but delicious. Escargots & salad were awesome. Very nice entertainment. People were dancing. All in all a great night. Will be back!

We received good service, food was very good. They had some live Motown Entertainment so if you like that type music I highly recommend this place. The cocktails however seem weak. So I recommend beer or wine rather than the mixed drink verity they offer on a special menu. Obviously the quantity of the spirits put into our drinks is a 2 star value

A truly hidden gem! It’s a little hard to find, and the security at the gate has to allow your car into the complex when you get there, but my goodness — it’s truly worth it! This is my new favorite restaurant in the Hallandale Beach area. I found this place by chance and it was exactly what I was looking for: A restaurant with a view of the ocean, quiet & elegant atmosphere, has good seafood, and COMPLIMENTARY parking. All the other restaurants I called in the area charged at least $ 10 for parking. The owner is French and runs a tight ship. Everything in the restaurant was in its place and the best part was that the food was not expensive and DELICIOUS. I will definitely be going to this restaurant every time I’m in the south Florida area :)

I went to dinner with my boyfriend and it was spectacular! The view is amazing! The food is so great! Really nice service! The staff in general are so nice, the servers all of them speak French! If you want a beautiful view with a mix of excellent food and fun you have to go there highly recommended! Congrats to the manager and the chef that make a great job :)

Where do you rate a place when you enjoyed yourself and at the same time come away frustrated that it could have been a bit better or even spectacular? Probably right where we have them rated with perhaps a slight uptick to 3.5. Non the less here we are as 5 of us venture out on Palm Sunday evening to this recommended place inside a Condo Complex on the Ocean in Hallandale Beach.
Arrive through the gate to Free Valet parking and enter probably was an old Condo Clubhouse at one time. Very nice Modern entrance, bar & interior with wood floors nice tables and good linen with large windows with views out the not to distant Ocean. Seating inside or outside on the terrace which was completely full. View itself is someone strange as you have to look past the pool and the trees to actually see the beach and Ocean but it is still a fairly nice ambiance. Choosing to sit inside this evening the door were left wide open. (More on that later)
Server arrives and right away I can tell that she is in the weeds as we muddle through some drink orders etc. The menu is small on the French side with basic favorites with prices very reasonable. They even have a Gourmet menu including choice of limited amounts of appetizers, entries and desert for $ 29.99 with no time limitations. All and all menu is basic but well rounded and price points more than acceptable. Bread was pedestrian an it didn’t arrive until well past drinks had arrived seconds before the appetizers.
So off we go with appetizers:
Shrimp Provancale with garlic tomatoes, olives, capers basil $ 13.00 Large dish easily shareable. Very tasty with very large shrimp this dish was a winner.
Stuffed Mussels not quite sure «STUFFED MEANT» but they had small baby greens stuffed in the shells along with a little bread crumb, garlic and wine sauce. $ 12.00 another massive size plate that could have been shared, again a winner!
2 French Onion soups were $ 7.00 each and with all respect were simply OK… nothing really special here.
Baby Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad with apple Raisins and walnuts was simply BLAND and tasteless. not sure where they were going here.
Entrees:
Seafood Linquini with Shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams in a garlic white sauce was similar in sauce to the Mussels for an appetizer so there was no great jump in disparity, but it was a quality dish with fresh fish that was quite large. $ 22.00
Lamb Shank Their version of Osso Bucco $ 21.00 large piece very tender and very tasty with mashed potatoes. I’m particular about which part of the lamb I eat so this was not for me.
Rissotto with mushrooms and black truffle oil $ 18.00 was delicious, huge rich and very filling. No way anyone can eat this as their entrée, more inclined to be served as dish for everyone to share as a side way to heavy but honestly EXCELLENT.
NY Strip steak with peppercorn sauce $ 22.00 was simply OK…
2^nd Steak was supposed to be a Filet Migon but it was screwed up and brought a second NY Strip. Not to be the one to send back a steak even if it was wrong, I simply couldn’t do it. again it was OK
Deserts were Peach melba OK, Apple Tart Fare, Key Lime pie pretty good.
Problems aside from the wrong steak?
Service was very slow from bread arriving late, to incorrect entrée, to waiting forever for wine order to be filled in fact we never saw here 90% of the time. Also by them leaving the doors open little gnats «bugs’ were flying all over the table when food arrived. I asked 3 times to box up some unfinished entrees to go before the gnats attacked and kept getting ignored. OK if you choose to sit outside but NOT ok if you are inside.
Owner /​Manager was very pleasant. As stated could have been great fell short in certain areas and some hiccups drove this down to a 3.5 I was a guest here so I’d go again if invited, but with so many places to choose from, I’d have to be on the fence if I was making the selection simply for myself.

I was very impressed by the food and ambiance in this place. As an appetizers we ordered grilled vegetables and goat cheese tower, escargots, both were delicious. Our server was attentive throughout the dinner. We got braised lamb shank and red snapper filet. The live music on that day was the Motowners and we really enjoyed our night. Highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful experience the food was fantastic the staff is gracious and fun. The entertainment was great «the Motowners», being from Detroit «Motown» how could an evening get any better!

This place was awesome. Food perfection.

One word of caution, check the accuracy of your check. Sprung for a $ 32 bottle of wine we could buy in Publix for $ 11. When the bill came they charged us $ 39.
Don’t let this discourage you though, it’s a great place.

Bravissimo! A top notch restaurant that belongs in Manhattan, Chicago or Miami… I can’t believe we found something so amazing in Hollywood. We had the risotto (prepared PERFECTLY), red snapper and seafood linguini. Each was prepared with detail and passion. you cannot go wrong — eat here before there’s a 2 hour wait because it will likely soon appear on some foodie/​tv show. Be sure to treat yourself to dessert ;)

Very impressive experience! The waiter is so handsome and patient to my friend’s little girl who just started to learn English. Surely, the most import is, the food here is very good! It is lunch time and supposed not to serve the lamb but the handsome gentlemen help us to get one! Although I did not get the other «out-​of-​service» food, still so lucky that we tried the lamb, awesome! And got two glasses Champagne for free:) I will recommend the bar to my Friends if they come here!

I was disappointed with my experience at Blue. I expected better due to the mostly positive reviews of others. First the positive, the décor is beautiful and it’s situated right on the beach so the views must be amazing during sunlight. The service was also very good. Our waitress was attentive and had a great attitude. Unfortunately the food did not match our expectations. The menu is limited, we couldn’t find anything that caught our eye so I ordered the salmon burger and my fiancé ordered a salad (forget which one) and added chicken for $ 6. The salmon burgers seasoning was very good but it was loaded with a lot more breading than salmon. It was a major disappointment. The fries that came with it were good. The chicken that came with the salad was dry and looked like it was processed, not fresh chicken. We are both in our 30’s and were the youngest couple there by far. Most patrons were in their 70’s and above.

I was looking for a nice place to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary and found this Gem on Hallandale Beach.
Reservations were taken with no effort and we were pleased vault parking was free (small tip excluded). Was met at the door by our waitress, a lovely French lady, and escorted to our table.
Fresh bread was delivered and I ordered Traditional escargot and a great french onion soup for my wife. Ceasar salad and a great mussel appetizer was next. Our entrees were the lamb shank and a clam pasta dish which both were fabulous.
Dessert was a delicious Cree brûlée and expresso coffee. Total tab was $ 100.00 for 2.
All staff members worked together cleaning our table and offering more bread.
The ocean view was not used as it was a but chilly out but I’m sure a great view for lunch.
We will be back again !

My husband and I ordered two steak au poivres. Both steaks came out cooked medium as ordered but were very tough. This place is really for the older crowd that still live in the days of the dinner show. Don’t come here for the food.

Had Christmas Dinner today. Ordered the Lamb Shank, the texture was 1^st Class, the seasoning was amazing, the taste was out of this word. I was also able to sample the New York strip steak, let me say it will blow your sox off. Chef Tony runs a tight operation and staff is well trained and attentive. It’s only a matter of time before the celebrity clientele start flocking to this place that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. I would make my reservations early…

One of the best food preparations I’ve ever encounter. The food is superb and the portions are very big. Come on by and try the excellent service and gorgeous outdoor ocean view. Live music on the weekends.

Had dinner there last night. They had an Xmas party in the main dinning room, so we ate in the bar. It was great, the food and service were first rate. Very friendly staff. Even with the big party going on near by it was still romantic.

Fantastic! Romantic ocean view, european ambiance, fresh sea food and salads, phenomenal chef, friendly service, super menu, reasonable prices. It is a hidden gem in Hallandale Beach! Check it out.

I went here on a Sunday for lunch with friends and family. The food was delicious. I had the snapper and it was absolutely amazing. Our server said it was freshly caught by a fisherman and the taste confirmed it. My friends had the shrimp a la plancha with kale which was equally impressive. The quality of food and ambiance of the ocean coupled with a great bottle of Rose left us excited to come back again for more. The desserts are homemade. My favorite was the Crème brûlée. Service was excellent, friendly and warm. Best new restaurant in our area!
