Carsonville Hotel

Charming little Rustic Hole in the wall out of your way place to go if your in the mood for a road trip! The inside charm is not what you would expect from the outdated historic outside! Great Burgers and fries fresh like in the old days! The Carsonville Cheese Burger fresh Ground Beef with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion & Mayo made your way W, M, or R w fresh cut Fries we shared a Large order and couldn’t finish them and they stayed hot till the end!
Don’t be put off by the distance of the trip the food was good, the people friendly it an experience!

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon during a motorcycle ride. Biker friendly but still homey and comfortable. It is out in the boonies.
Wings were excellent. You get the whole wing, not just segments. I had a cheesesteak with the works, served on a round bun. Very tasty.
Service was friendly and attentive. Menu looked like it will warrant further study. Lots of appetizing offerings on there. I’ll be back.

Excellent. Steak was thick, juicy, tender and cooked just right. Atmosphere was quaint, charming and fun. Service was attentive and great. A little way out but worth the drive. Very casual and laid back.

I stumbled upon the hotel (okay, not really a hotel just in case you are thinking you will be able to crash here) because I was lost and trying to find a camp site on Peter’s Mountain. I had TOTALLY forgotten only AT&T works on the mountain. The nice lady at Carsonville Hotel let me use her cell so I could call for a search party. She seemed so dang sweet I couldn’t wait to come back and share the experience with my fella.
So I did…
Apparently diner from the kitchen ends at precisely 5:00 she made a point to bark the information at us :(I was starved but not hungry to waste my carb count on cheap pizza and wings being offered on the deck. So after a quick beer and hard lemonade we made our way down 83 and stumbled upon Calhane’s.

A group of us visited the Carsonville Hotel to try their wings. To my surprise, they serve the entire wing! I ordered 6 wings with hot sauce. The waitress said the hot was really hot, and she was right. I think these were the hottest «hot» wings I’ve had.
It was my understanding that they served fresh cut fries. We were let down when regular fries came out. The fries needed salted too. That was really the only letdown in my opinion. I’d like to go back and try more from their menu (steaks and burgers).

awsome place. one of the best burgers i ever had. the french fries are fresh hand cut and you get a mountain of them. the place is in the middle of no where, but worth the trip. very charming atmosphere. the menu is printed on paper bags. lots of dead animals hanging on the walls. just a neat experience.

This place is a great find! It’s in the middle of no where (which adds to the allure of C’Ville). I always just go with wings and beer when I’m there but I know there is some other solid stuff of the menu. Dennis is the man! Neat deck in the summer. Definitely a good place to go with the guys.
